  1. Has anyone else noticed the hole in the gearstick just below the knob?? Dealership says it is just the way it is :iraqi-info-minister:
  2. UPDATE Car was returned today and of course, it started ok with them but they did reprogram the ECU. Just have to see if this sorts out the problem. Anyone else had the same problem??
  3. My handbrake is also not very effective, it has already been adjusted to the maximum but it still rolls back on my driveway which is quite steep. It has been booked in already to get a new caliper fitted but the parts had not came so a new date was arranged and it was picked up this morning and was supposed to be returned tonight but they did not finish as they had other jobs to do aswell. Don't see why they can't just fit this improved handbrake in the first place especially when it is a safety concern :iraqi-info-minister:
  4. A little tip, when locking your car with the button on the handle, push it twice within 2.5 seconds and it double locks it(cant be unlocked from inside i.e. if a thief smashes window and tries to use the unlock tab it doesn't work). This can also be done by pushing the lock button on the remote twice within 5 seconds- would be better if it double locked with only one push of the button if it isn't askin too much lexus GB, perhaps so considering they can't make european lexus lock when you drive off
  5. I got a SC430, lucky me you think-yes, but not for my son in the back who had to put his legs up onto the other back seat as there was no legroom and the roof had to be down as there was no headroom(very windy), this was a 45 minute journey to the dealer BTW(definitely a 2 adult seater). An IS tommorrow though
  6. I also had the same problem, did not work in my garage or drive, but worked on street(boot still worked perfect though :duh: ). Also, my sons mini's key did not work on our drive, while the lexus didn't, as did his friends. They all work now though but the dealer said that they will change the frequency of the keys to stop any further problems. EDIT They have actually changed the keys
  7. I went out to my car which had been kept in the garage overnight as usual but it wouldn't start. When i pushed the start/stop, it started but immediately died. I tried this a few times but had no luck. I called my lexus dealer and was told to call the RAC who would take the car to them. I tried the car again but still did not start right so i gave it throttle and revved the car for about 20 seconds and then it managed to idle itself as normal. Stopped the car and tried again and worked flawlessly-so cancelled RAC who were going to take up to 2 and a half hours . Next day, Same happens. The next day it starts but not very healthily as it does the day after that and fails to start once again. This was not due to lackof use as it had a long run the day before and also after the first time it happened. It's booked in for tommorrow though as it is getting the handbrake adjusted again(new caliper or something) also the rear bumper wasn't put back on correctly after fitting parking sensors and that's getting fixed to. It's getting picked up BTW and a courtesy car left(another IS) :D
  8. A little warning for wonder wheels, don't leave it on for any time at all as it leads to cracking of the plastic coating-learned by experience, fortunately on my previous galaxy and not the lexus :D
