Lexus Reading , how can I put it without being rude! I bought my Lexus RX450h from them . The sales guy I was dealing with was brilliant and very professional. But when I went to buy the car, it was such a bad experience with his superiors , that I should have walked away! They will never see me again. I’d go to Lexus Guildford instead and stay with friends as and when these crazy C-19 days are behind us

Be careful out there...an alert for members on this forum. There’s red LS430 car ( see photo below ) for sale on above sites. This is my ex LS 430. For £4795.... It has some issues ... The passenger side mirror has stopped responding to electric adjustments.(might be fixed by these sellers ).The driver side mirror got cracked by some idiot in supermarket car park. I had sourced second hand one from Paul Frost...and let these dealer have it with the car. Hopefully they would have replaced the cracked one. Steering Column shudders when on rough surface... Needs cam belt and water pump etc changing next year or soon after. Needs new tyres . The current ones are six+ yrs old. I sold it for £2100. Couldn’t be bothered to advertise and face all the calls! (I now now have an RX450h on my drive.) Apart from these issues, the car is in an excellent condition and very clean. Stunning combination of burgundy paint and ivory interior. if anyone is interested, there should be plenty of negotiating room. The number plate is/was private. These dealers may try and sell the number plate separately. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS-430-4-3-auto-6sp-FSH-3-KEYS-FULL-SPEC-STUNNING/223254485917?hash=item33fb011b9d:g:eGUAAOSwq6Vb-~qK

I am still amazed that I bought a celestial Black car. But the combination of black and cream/ivory inside is just stunning.. Also the car was almost showroom standard. Very pleased. Thanks everyone for helping out. I collect it on Tuesday after transferring the money tomorrow. Ls430 gone....😕 -

Thanks Herbs, you are a star for allaying my concern re ride comfort.... I believe the ride on Luxury and Advance is identical. The only difference being in adaptive lights and the fromt grill on the Advance. The grill is not of any importance to me and I rarely drive in the dark these days....Black is not to my liking but it certainly looks to be in good condition. I’ll have the dealer send me a video...and then decide. -

Thanks Les. I too have been trying to avoid any black colour, but the choice seems limited. The other thing that worries me is the size of the wheels. Honest John , of the Telegraph, says to avoid 19 inch and go for 18 inch ones for better ride. Thanks for the tip re ivory rubber mats, didn’t know they even existed. -

Thanks all. Les, I have been following the thread on corrosion on machine cut alloy wheels... they appear to be on most 19 inch wheels. So I am trying to avoid buying a car fitted with those. Incidentally, when I bought the LS430 back in 2007, the wheels started to bubble up & show corrosion about 6 months later. The dealer didn’t replace the rims but had them refurbished. Since then , no problems whatever! Mike, that’s very reassuring. Like you, I am not convinced of LS430 as being anywhere nearly as good or reliable as LS400., despite having few more toys. -

Test drove RX450H premier and advance, as well as NX300h last week. The premier , surprisingly disappointed ! Loved the heads up but air suspension meant a lot of wobbly drive around the bends or corners. I was disappointed as, the air suspension on my LS430 is exceptional.. Must be due to the high position of RX. LOVED THE ADVANCE...WISHED IT HAD HEADS UP. Now waiting for the right colour and the year to come along. With apologies to NX300h owners...it isn’t for me. Felt a bit sluggish and a noisy engine when pushed! But amazingly well appointed interior. Thanks to all of you for helping me to make my mind up -

Steve Thanks. I too was considering Luxury model, until I was alerted to the Advance...which has Mark Levinson, as does my current Lexus, so that decided it for me! Most likely to hold out for Burgundy but not many about...but on the inside...only ivory will do for me.... r u a Ledzep fan? A friend has been to every concert they gave in uk! -

Decision made. It’s going to be RX450H Advance. Preferably 2015 plate. Can’t stand dark interior so has to be ivory. Not bothered about the colour on the outside but preference would be Satin Silver or Burgundy or Grey ...in that order!. Would have gone for panroof but it can’t be opened, so has to be sunroof! Really appreciating you guys helping out and good advice. I am grateful. And waiting for the right model to turn up...
