  1. great minds ehh. but thank you for correcting my football misdemeanor, my new football knowledge now stands at oooohh 1%. :iraqi-info-minister: :iraqi-info-minister: Simon - so can i call on you for some karting advice as me and some friends now have 4 karts ranging from 100cc to a 125cc 6 gear jobby..
  2. Me thinks Oxford Audio blew your cover my friend,, i was in there about 3 weeks ago getting priced up for an ICE install, i mentioned that i had seen your install at Gaydon, and we just spoke about your car.blah blah blah "oh hes getting twin turbos fitted" blah blah. but fear not Mr Skippy your secret was safe with me and i have killed only 2 people so far for speaking about your covert opps But no im not local, im down near Heathrow way, but i have my car booked in at O.A on the 20th for the install and will be up again before that this saturday to change my mind and go through a new install with them, namely installaing the Dension MP3 unit, am i mistaken insaying you have one.
  3. i would agree with Tony, for ease why not try and keep it similar to how the actual go-kart tracks do it for the 'corporate' events, whereby everyone races in 'x' amount of heats with points awarded for finish position in each heat. then as Tony suggests just add up the points won by each team member to get the total team points. it would also be great to do the endurance races, either on the same day or maybe as a seperate 'super champion of champions ' event. OR, just a thought you see, why not have points awarded similar to 'at home' and 'away' football matches (i dont know much about footy though so dont bite :iraqi-info-minister: ) we coouold perhaps allocate various go-kart tracks as either LOC or TOC. another idea stemming from this idea is we could then allocate home and away points to each individual team member (almost like fantasy football league i guess) and at the end of the year award them the prestigious 'Best of the Best' trophy..
  4. So the boys at Oxford Audio wernt telling porkies then, you are indeed following the turbo path.. enlighten me, out of interest how much is this gona set you back, approx.
  5. BIG DEFO.. i just bought myself a second hand kart for racing around the streets.. much fun...
  6. well im going for the looks and perfomance as i do like to chuck cars around but saying that im quiet happy with the cornering ability with the standard kit on it so perhaps i do not need to go the whole hog. i have also read on this Thread that the TTE kit is not much good if your have passengers in the back which more often i do but on the plus is ideal for normal road use. but the HKS is more suited for the serious road use and track. With the HKS coilovers is this the same kit as on the TDI website up at 1500££, Simon is there a picture in the gallery of the drop on your car..
  7. Hi People, I Will lowering the Lex via TDI soon but cannot make up my mind as to what kit to go for, bearing in mind that this could result in a difference of a grand between the lower end spec and the higher end spec. My lex is the SE version and so does not have the 30mm drop that the Sport has and im looking to fit 18" wheels with 225/40/18 rubbers. DO i simply go for the uprated and lowered (-30mm) spring kit which will drop it to the same as the sport and stick the 18" on, how would that look. Or do i go with the TTE or HKS kit. So what im looking for from you guys is ideally pictures of what your various drops are with 18" fitted. Or if your going to the Bracknell meet could you let me know what setup you have so i can have a little look see. thanks people
  8. i would go for Red with Black labels. BTW what are these wheels... they are pretty damn good.
  9. Hi Guys, I just got my i'lluminated scuffs and am looking to fit them but i just gota question, i have the sports scuffs fitted and was wondering how these are removed, i assume that there is a couple of screws holding them on and that these screws are hiding under some of the round plastic "caps" for want of a better word. can you point me in the right direction as i dont want to start prizing of the wrong caps and start damaging it, also im sure i had seen a thread relating to the fitting of the i'll scuffs that included some pictures but do you think i can find it..

  16. Hi There, Can anyone tellme what the correct torque spec is for the wheel nuts. i will be removeing the wheels to do the calipers and would like to put the wheel back on correctly. you may think its not that important but let me tell you a quick story about my history with wheel nuts. basically on two occasions where i have put a wheel back, one time the wheel worked loose and another time 3 nuts on 1 wheel have sheared off (not good after a night out clubbing , being arrested and 300 yards from the motorway exit..) SO you can understand my wish to torque up the nuts correctly..

    New Wheels

Thanks guys for the input, you have confirmed some of my thoughts, i wanted to go for the minimalistic approach. For sure i will need to paint the calipers, what colour do you think, i was either gona go for blue with red stickers to match the car or a red with black stickers. For your info the wheels are called Matrix Shadows.
  19. Hi People, I have seen these wheels in my travels, im thinking of putting a set on the Lex, what do you guys think.. http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/alb...lbum01/100_0005
