  1. beg to differ my good man.. i have recently taken delivery off an IS300 body kit (via lextasy), and although the front and rear skirts fit across the width perfect, its the the area that curves around the back towards the wheel arch that is the problem. Apparently due to the US safety specs about low speed impacts and bumpers, the bumpers are approx an inch longer (or deeper depending on your point of view) so i have now got to cut an inch out and join it before getting sprayed. Just another point Wrath, from my personal dealings with Lextasy.(see this thread). i would suggest that you go elsewhere for your body kit..either Takiara or contact a person who goes by the name of ADVANCE (free plug eh), he may be able to source and offer a better service than Lextasy..
  2. Please then confirm me then me old fridge freezer,, i mean come on have i not bleated on about it often enough :D
  3. ohh stoooppp ittt fiver in the post ;)
  4. geek.... By the way if you want your own copy i can sort you oyt....allegedly.
  5. WELL i have graound to a halt.. i have replaced the cooked rear light cluster and i am using the old one to perform my experimants on to try and find the best temp to 'cook' at.. i looked at a heatgun but they seem to start at 300degC so no good.. think i may end up going the hairdryer route although i fear that will take for ever.. would be so much easier if there was a bodyshop or something that would seperate the unit, or even if Lexus bodyshop themselves..
  6. Jon,, i have a new ice install (see list below) and i have kept the rear standards, you can check it out when i drop the wheels off sunday..
  7. Steve, asked my uncle and to back up fargo's post further, unfortunately its not true! They use then more now so that you can't shift the blame saying that someone else was driving the car!! So Fever,, what are you saying is not true, the Right to Privacy issue ??
  8. Well i only took a few.. not much to look at but they start Here labelled Ace.. Think beter pics at the next Ace meet when more LOC might turn up ehh
  9. i was told last week that you cannot get done for speeding if the camera is pointed at you. All to do with Invasion of privacy laws. someone should check it out.... Fever.. ask your uncle if this is true? That would be incorrect.. In english Law there is no right to privacy, the legal rights to privacy come under the eurpoean convention on human rights, which are supposed to be taken into account in every judicial decision, but they are at best vague. there is certainly no written legislation regarding privacy yet, anything we have comes under common law (precedents set in cases) The the reason they are vague is to enable governments to use things such as cctv / speed cameras because it is in the public interest to do so However if someone was to take a photo of you in a comprimising situation (and im not talking about a picture from the digital speeding camera), and then got it published then you would be able to begin an action under the defamation / libel laws (tort) (this comprimising picture is important because your reputation has been damaged), but there is no legal right to privacy Another example would be a telephoto lens photos of people in private houses / beaches come under laws of tresspass the only poss way your really going to escape prosecution is if the authority has not warned you that the camera was there, Otherwise unlucky.

  16. ORRRRR as an alternative and especially fot those without Sat Nav... DONT SPEED...
  17. Why waste money on a tracker plus yearly subscription, after all you may get the car back but who says you want the car after it has been kaned and abused by mr joyrider,, Opt for the Lexus GAP, they will pay out the difference between your indurance and the shortfall you paid for the car.. This option cost me 400 for the 3 years.
  18. i Too had the same thought, but after speaking with my dealership and people onthe forum, it is true that the security on the IS is pretty damn good and is cat 1 approved so the insurance people will be happy. obviously if you want more peace of mind then go get an addition alarm fitted.
  19. so the LOC vs TOC is stil on then have the TOC got a team together now then.. :P
  20. It's called La Taverna and it's lovely. They always look after us :D I was up at La Taverna's Saturday just gone, I can Highly recommend the place, every time we have been there, the staff are friendly, professional and will cater for your every wish..Oh did i mention that the wine is top notch.... I think everyone gets to know the owner and they will sort you right out, as for prices well £25 per head Minimum i would say,, 6 of us had the 3 courses and only about 3 bottles of wine and that worked out about £45 per head.
