  1. Sorry when I replied, I meant bonnet and not bumper. Also shop around for the body shop before you give the car in and ask them if your bonnet can be repaired and the cost.
  2. Look in Find A Part website and also website for 247 spares. Put all the details down and wait for the dismantlers/scrapyars to ring you with details. When someone rings you, do not rush in buyng it straight away, take the details including the phone number who phones you, price and see if you get any more phone calls. Once you have decided on where you want to buy it from ring back and just ask them for the conditon of the bumper before you depart with your money. I also suggest you try japarts and ring them up. They are based in London on Edware Road and ask them too for the price of the brand new bumper to give you some idea. Also ring up the dealer and ask for the price for the new one too. This way you will be able to work out where you want to buy it from. Hope this helps.
  3. Hello and it is nice to hear the good news. I wish you luck with your call.
  4. [i am new to lexus owners forum and found members helpful and gave me some help in finding technical information and sending me link to assist me. quote name=Steve' date='Jan 18 2002, 02:07 AM' post='20391] Hey guys and Gals.. Bit of a Team Lexus Survey going on here... we need to know how you found the Team Lexus website.. was it from a search engine or a link from another site.. we would really be interested to know. Cheers in advance :) your Bud Admin
  5. Has anyone done sound installation including amp, subwoofer and speakers in Lexus IS 200 SE. I need some ideas on electrics for an expert.
  6. How much did you pay for your manuals. Got mine through the dealer. Not cheap but they're the ones they use themselves. Got 2 main volumes - part numbers VOL1 RM684E1 and VOL2 RM684E2. Each about the size of yellow pages. Then there's supplements for the later model years .... TG
  7. This is excellent price. Where did you get the programming instructions from and do they work. Please let me know if they work.
  8. I have purchased blank key with three button remote for Lexus IS 200 for £140 from Jparts. It is brand new and genuine proeduct. Hope this helps. I looked at the ebay but am not sure if the remote would work. I thought spend a bit of extra money and buy genuine part. japarts imports parts from Japan and they have one head office in London. Their phone number for london is 020 8732 7236.website is www.japarts.co.uk
  9. I looked for Haynes Manual for Lexus IS 200 SE Year 2000 model but Haynes say they do not have one. I also checked on ebay and found and purchased one. Dos anone know where I can purchase workshop manual but not the Lexus Dealer as they are too expensvie to buy from them. Does anyone know how I can search for Hayes Manuals as I think Hayes Workshop Manuals may do one for Lexus IS 200. Would be grateful for anyone's help on this.
  10. [Does this instructions definately work and have they been tried by any forum members. I have new key with remote and need to get it cut first before I do the jbo. quote name=smartwave' date='Sep 21 2005, 09:28 AM' post='286342] Got this from another lexus forum which solved my problem Basically, every lexus key has two functions: start the engine(immobilizer) and remote control (lock unlock doors, activate/deactivate alarm) to program the immobilizer bit of your new key: first, have your new key cut. Then: For 1998+ Toyota, Lexus Add Duplicate Key 1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time. 2. Insert existing master key into ignition. 3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times. 4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key. 5. Within 10 seconds insert new key into ignition. 6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time. 7. After 80 seconds new key is registered and security light goes off. 8. Remove new key and depress and release brake pedal 1 time. For 2002+ Toyota, Lexus Add Duplicate Key Requires one working Toyota/Lexus Master Key. 1. Make sure all doors and windows are closed. 2. Insert Master key into the ignition cylinder. 3. Cycle the ignition cylinder from On to OFF five times. 4. Open and close the “driver side” door 6 times. 5. Remove the Master Key and insert the new duplicates key. 6. TURN THE IGNITION CYLINDER ON. 7. The new key will be registered after 60 seconds. The THEFT light on the dashboard will go out, indicating that programming has been completed. to make your lexus remember your key's wireless signal: For the remote part. in drivers seat WITH DOOR OPEN. start with door unlocked. first put master key in ignition, turn to on, then back off and remove. using the lock/unlock button on drivers door. press lock.. then unlock 5 times.(lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, unlock, lock,un lock, lock, unlock) Close drivers door, open drivers door. Performe lock/unlock procedure again. DO NOT close and open drivers door. Just the lock/unlock procedure again. insert NEW key in to ignition and turn to on, then back off and remove.(at this point the doors should lock and unlock by themselves ONCE) Now press both lock and unlock buttons on REMOTE. release after about 1.5seconds. now press just the lock button on remote. once you press the lock button, the car should lock and unlock ONCE, if it lock unlocked TWICE you messed up somewhere. now open and close the drivers door a couple times to close programming. if you did it right, remote will now work. thats it..not to hard once youve done it a few times I tried this for about 40 minutes and finally my is200 remembers all my keys now. happy. :D
