  1. https://www.theaadrivesafe.com/ Reduce your premium with safe driving.
  2. Suppose you had the choice of a brand new 2005 (last model year) IS200 with zero miles and all the toys Lexus at that time could put in versus a 2013 Lexus IS250 with zero miles would you still go for the first generation? Why?
  3. http://www.boschcarservice.co.uk/ Is Bosch car service an advantage?
  4. Production has finished - meaning it's too late to order a new one with your particular / bespoke options? (Just double checking).
  5. So is Lexus putting in as much kit and toys with a small price increase in the New Year to sell off the remaining stock or is the current Advance range the last variant?
  6. I read u should use comparison sites and then phone direct the top 3 (lowest) for quotes as it's always cheaper. If you phoned them direct would it not be tedious and time consuming giving your details for 100+ companies? That's where comparison sites come in handy? Similarly entering your details each time via their websites?
  7. Please can you add any more: Moneysupermarket.con Confused.com Comparethemarket.con Gocompare.com Quotezone.co.uk Beatthatquote.com
  8. I haven't change any of my details - now if I renew with the same insurer and they give me a quote in their "it's soon time to renew" letter should I phone them up and ask them to redo the quote or do it myself online? Usually the quote is just the same as last year so do I challenge them to knock off £100 or I'm going elsewhere or do a few comparison searches of my own (e.g. Confused.com) and then ask them to beat the lowest and "I'll stay with you"?
  9. Isn't the 2nd gen designed as a saloon / coupe so 3 passengers in the back are more cramped than the 1st gen?
  10. IS, GS and CT are going to be too small? Probably RX or LS?
  11. I've been in the back of an IS250 and it does feel cramped than the original IS. Motoring press in their reviews have consistently reported it can be cramped when compared to the 3 series, A4 and C-Class. Can you comment on if there is more or less space in the back against the mark 1 IS?
  12. Lexus have stopped the diesel - is it because it wasn't selling enough? It's just the IS250 now.
  13. I very excited about the next IS (we know now what the new LS looks like as well as the GS, RX and CT) and if it's going to be a smaller but sexier version of the new GS - I think it's going to be a stunner especially in F-Sport guise. Hopefully there will be some styling inside and outside which will be unique to the IS: I wouldn't mind bringing back the sports style chronographic watch speedo as on the original 1999 IS. I look forward with baited breath to end of this year when the press should be treating us to some pictures? It's still on my mind to buy the current IS right at the end of its life cycle because Lexus will be loading it with loads of kit for a bargain price; maybe I should just let go. I really like the white F-Sport IS with the DRLs.
  14. http://www.motor-world.co.uk/index.cfm?product=2293&product_title=T-Cut%20Scratch%20Magic%20Scratch%20Remover%20%2F%20Restorer T-Cut Scratch Magic Scratch Remover / Restorer (new product) This will do the job or I should get something more dearer?
  15. Ok thanks. I thought it was clear it was the IS-F as I posted in the IS-F forum otherwise I would have posted in the IS200 one. Apologies for making you type a long reply but it was appreciated nevertheless!
  16. Ok thanks. Can this post be deleted - I accidentally posted it? Do I do that or the moderator?
  17. Thanks for replies and link. I was asking for the IS-F and just thought super fuels would be beneficial for it since it is a "fast" car.
  18. I don't think you'd use normal unleaded so which brand do you find best? Tesco Momentum99, Shell V-Power, BP Ultimate, Total Excellium, etc.
  19. Thanks. I'm very excited about the next IS. For the compact executives this will be the first NEW car against the new 3 series saloon (F30). The A4 and C-Class are both in their facelift versions and new models won't be out until after the new IS. In the same way the current IS (released November 2005) was the first new car against the previous 3 series (E90) (March 2005 onwards). I think the direct competition with the 3 series has died down; it was more with the 1st generation IS (1999) against the E46 3 series when Lexus basically copied the dimensions of the E46 saloon - the press said BMW should be flattered I recall. Having said that BMW copied the Lexus rear lights on their 3 series compact (remember?) and if you park an E90 3 saloon next to the 1st generation IS - head on - they look similar - headlights are "samey"... Lexus should be flattered!
  20. Someone decided to scratch my car door with a key or something. What's a good remover from Halfords please? Thanks.
