thanks for the photos, looks a clean job on the install.. the angel eyes are fairly bulky themselves but are bright indeed, will get a pic of mine up on the weekend.. what bulbs have you got installed in the highbeam? i like the blue-ish look on them..

Easy mate, just in the process of replacing my Cat. Found a place that can do a replacement stainless steel one for about £80. Let me know if you want details. As for warning light, I don't think you'll get one as my Cat has blown, and i'm getting no warning on dash. And there are no sensors around the main Cat either. James thats weird, i get a light coming up on the dash every once in a while, had it checked once and it was the main cat sensor, i just reset it by taking out the EFI fuse for about 30 secs and it disappears.. James, PM me the details and will definalty look into it, the place i had in mind are booked up for the next 3 weeks..

Pre Cats have already been taken out by steve at Glossop, just thinking of taking out the main cat and replacing it with another pipe like SparkyStav has done, so at least i can put the main cat back on if need be for the MOT. Sent you an email regarding the 02 simulator needed when cat has been taken out.. (will be supercharging when i have some £££ soon)

Well i bought the HKS Silent exhaust for the IS200 from Daz (thanks) fitting is on Thursday at Glossop, also the Coilovers too. I used to have the HKS-Ti on my previous lex which had a nice rumble, not too loud and not too silent. My questions are: 1, Whats the sound like on HKS Silent power as it is with silencer connected to it (ie the extra piece on the back box)? 2, How loud would it be if i removed this extra bit on it? 3, How loud would it be if i De-Catted the car aswell? 4, How do i go about getting a replacement section where the Cat is currently situated? 5, How do i get rid of the dash board light that will come up if i decide to de-cat? thats all folkes... input appreciated..

It's alot of money, for alot of a car..lol but as alot of you guys are new here, (not many old members left..lol) this car belonged to a member Si Skippy, the conversion was done by TDi North, one of the 1st cars that conversion was done on and believe he spent alot of money on the car.. TOMS alloys (lightwieght) on the car were imported if i am not wrong probably the only set in the UK (He had the power but i had a better sound system in my Lex - Zee can vouch for it as when we had a sound off at the Gaydon meet...lol :P ) I went down to see Dean last week (or was it week before) i bought some blacked out headlights with AAC - Angel eyes fitted from him, oh and my old HKS Hyper Damper II which i sold to him.. (it's a small world) i didn't know he had bought Skippys car, but to see this person was good luck to anyone who buys it, i would love to have taken it off his hands... but am skint..lol

I see you got the ones with the clear casing around the angel eye.. can you also take a daytime pic of the front end of the car and one of the headlights, just curious to see how they look when off, how big the clear casing looks compared to the ones that AAC are supplying which are fitted to mine. will take a pic of mine over the weekend and post it..

I got them for my mate when he had the IS before me, they cost abit more than the Eibachs and Spax, but the H&R are stronger and better in my opinion, i've had H&R springs fitted to nearly all my modded cars before, can't fault them one bit. I might have mine up for sale when i get the coilovers fitted next week, but then again am deciding to keep them and put them back on when and "IF" i sell the car... lol can't decide yet..lol Thanks Asi, am trying mate..

Lexus Stereo.. Have you got any pics please? (as their are sum angel eyes with a glass protective shield round them) Did they supply you with the angel eyes and fit them in the headlights? Cost? i have got some fitted in the IS, but i have a spare set of headlights that i am going to paint and put some Angel Eyes is, was going to buy a set from Advanced Automotive Concepts (AAC) over in the US and get them shipped over, they are a good quality ones with lifetime warrenty on them.

I have got mine dropped on H&R springs, they don't sag or go too low, have had 3 people sat in the back with no problems or catching on speed bumps. This is how my current IS is sat: check this H&R Drop

For the sake of accuracy: was it the TEIN SS kit with upper mounts or without? as far as i can remember they had the upper mounts, the SS Kit comes with upper mounts, but the cheaper kit doesn't come with upper mounts.

I had the Tein Super Streets fitted on the Black Lexus IS few years ago, the ride was good but the knocking was present at all times, really annoying, Steve at Glossop tried all sorts to get rid of the noise, but no avail, i sold them and managed to get my hands on a new set HKS Hyper Damper II, they were brilliant. Sold HKS Dampers to a LOC memeber before i sold the car, but guess what? just bought same set i sold from the same LOC Memebr (half the cost) he didn't use them, along with Black headlights.. :zee: :winky:

Hi All, Question: Where is the best place to buy the HKS Hyper (Silent) exhaust from? On my previous Lex i had the HKS Hyper Ti fitted, loved it.. Going down to Charlseworth Motors in Glossop on Thursday, having the IS serviced, diff oil changed and the Manifold De-Cat'd.. also a BIG maybe... :shutit: can't tell you...

i got a set of Genuine Altezza ones, got Altezza etched in to them, front and rears £38 inc postage from ebay.. they are the ones that stick on the outside using 3M tape..

Anyone have any going spare or point me in the right direction? what is the difference between OEM and others available?

This car was originally purchased by my mate (Asad, whom i was with on purchase, milage was 57K). He wanted a lex and to mod it up like the balck IS i had. B) The car was on standard alloys painted black and no TRD kit on it. i found him TRD Kit at good price from Lexus Leeds, and he sourced the Lexus Sport 18" Alloys, got them fitted and lowered it using H&R Springs. He then and ICE install, enjoyed the car for while. He needed another change of car for his second job so he decided to sell the IS.. I put the Type-R up for sale, which i kept for 11 months, it was RAPID... didn't want to sell it, but i kept the wheels and have put them on the IS (above set-up) but i have had me fun now, and happily bought the IS, it was serviced, timing belt changed, spark plugs done, and 12mths MOT, bought with 65K showing.. I just thought i have been through 5 cars since i sold my IS, nothing feels comfortable than the IS, so hopefully this one is going to stick around.. Bought a private number plate for the.. now need a HKS Exhaust and black headlights/foglights.. Anyone know? Not confident on doing the oven headlight job.. will see tho when i come back from 4 weeks holiday.. :winky: lets just say it nearly touching 50C degrees..
