yea tell me about it i near sh*t a brick when i seen the level on mine, or should i say didnt see the level. was right down the bottom. much better now seems to have cured the noise too.
cheers guys.
if its red it could just be the oil from the pre oiled filter (they usually put i good lot on), just clean it up with a rag or cloth but just keep an eye on it. my k&n did the same.
i just sorted mine out. if you take out the rear lights (2 10mm hex heads under plastic caps) you may see some corrosion. seems to be a weak spot. i just used some black silicone for short term but dont think it worth takin any more action unless the water returns. just pull the small plugs out an the water will empty out.
good luck mate
great looked at the coolant an it is pre mixed so had to go get another one for tyhe belt change at 16 quid for 5 litres. lol
must admit i was caught out by the coolant level at back of radiator never new it was there, cheers guys. prob saved me lots of money lol
:winky:
i not sure if it needs mixed i aint checked, if it doesnt need mixed i goin to need to get some more. you need about seven litres for a refil dont you??
i checked the radiator level, rest all looked ok.
you mean you just took it off and retrimmed over the original parts with black suede?
same thing :P
no i mean did you actually retrim it yourself, and what did it turn out like?
will try that, looked at it last week and it was only about a mil or 2 below the level. will put some water in an see, mostly on start up or after a thrashing when i stop.
cheers man
recently past few days i have noticed a sound from behind the dash that sounds like water circulating, is this pretty normal or is it a sign that the heater matrix is on its way out?
cheers
where have you been getting the parts? scrapyard? or you buying them new. the cream looks awfull when its 9 years old and a bit shabby. are you putting in original fron seats or buckets
cheers
