  1. well they are not the most powerfull rwd car but compaired to some the quality is ten times better. i have a 99 se model with no diff yet and i can still get the tail out. i plan to get a diff in when i get my hands on one witch should make it even better. also since i put my coilovers in its a lot more stable when it catches grip again after getting the tail out. great car especially if it your first rwd
  2. yea it was off the loc toc store £8 posted. might turn up next week
  3. off the link on here. think it was toc or somet. will check.
  4. i ordered a set last sunday and still no sign is this normal or should get back to them. dont like pestering people unless i have too cheers
  5. ah that doesnt sound so good, lol. might just leave them then an possibly try get the fogs to work as brake lights instead, seen a thread on that in here somewhere cheers
  6. whats involved in the rear that different to fronts, are they harder to take apart? cheers
  7. i am going to take my headlights apart to clean inside the plastic lens if i spray the chrome gloss or metallic black and de tango them with orange bulbs will they still be legal? can the rear lights be done the same?
  8. the previous shape mr2 is nice, some of the older s2000 are not too dear, i fancied a nissan sx200 before i get my is200 but they where all very raked or rusty
  9. most insurance will insure car audio up to 500 pound as standard at no cost. but i guess depending what you have 500 might not even cover a good head unit or whtever, also if the head unit has a removeable face they will only cover it if you have the face off in your possesion lol
  10. not sure about the lexus as i aint done my pads yet but on some cars i serviced and put pads in the pads were a poor fit with no anti rattle clip and made a knocking sound as they rattled about. take wheel off and see if you can move the pads about with your fingers, sometimes cheaper pads are false economy as you end up buying another set
  11. i bought an airbox off them no problems,
  12. P M S L, make her feel bad every time she looks at me lol its just one thing i wont do. share a car. if she wants one she can buy one. if i kerb my wheel it my fault, if she kerbed a wheel on my car i would hate her forever lol. must have been somet weak waitin to go and she just happened to be driving at the wrong time, hope you get it sorted
  13. i at one point had considered getting the belfast to liverpool ferry and driving down as people over here are generally usless. might still try it if i feeling flush. tell the missus i takin her away for weeknd lol
  14. r34 skyline toyota supra old celica gt4 round lights
  15. that has always been the problem over here tho, people have been forced to keep quiet about mods as they would not have been able to get insured, that why i spreading the word. lol. i remember the hassle of trying to insure even the wheels on my ford ka. they only wanted to let me go 1 inch from standard size with would be a massive 14" rim, when i said i had 17"s they all said sorry and goodbye. lol roll on the modified insurance companies.
  16. yea i have never been fully insured as i have never been able too because the local insurance companies would not touch me. i had a turbo ka as a first car and noone wanted to know, same as my seat ibiza. its good to see some english companies putting thier foot across the water to give them some competition
  17. living in northern ireland has always been a pain to insure a modified car but for first time since i started driving i am fully legal thanks to adrain flux, dont seem to mind the add ons where as some places i have tried are very plain and simple or not at all. just thought i spread the word as they have done everything i have asked of them without a problem. 18" alloys, coilovers, blitz backbox only added £20 to my premium. bliss. ADRIAN FLUX 0800 7831392
  18. sorry to hear about the car and hope your ok, take the other driver to the cleaners if he hit you at that speed he deserves it. hope you get a good claim off him an you get back on road asap. are you going to break the car or insurance company takin it? i need a drivers side headlight and 2 fogs?
  19. i would tend to let is200 out quite a lot but usually the person drivin for all they care you could be in a ford fiesta and i lucky to get a wave lol
  20. Apparently there is an airbag light that comes on but you can get a plug to connect which will void it :D sounds good, mot centre might not like to see big airbag lights up lol cheers
  21. this is 1 reason i wont let my girl drive my car, her fault or not i would hate her forever, lol hope you get it sorted mate. supra sugestion sounds good.
  22. anyone replaced the front seats with bucket seats and what happens to the airbag light. does it call up a fault??
  23. ah i see. lol. will keep lookin. guess its best to build up the whole lot rather than try do bits at a time.
  24. they are just height adjustable. are great for everyday use as not too hard when low as a lot of coilovers will get harder the higher you go as the springs are compressed more. i hear d2 coilovers are quite good and come with top mounts hope this helps a bit
  25. you should have been ok as in the kit there should have been 2 green spring location rings. where way under all the cardboard in the box. these are for the front springs at top. oem mounts worked dead on just as long as they are kept the way they came out i put a small scribed line for witch way was supposed to be pointing forward. good kit and easy to fit. then got my geometry set to the settings in the knowledge base and the very helpfull advice from tony WIM
