  1. Hi, just need some advise here, i am a big motorcycle / quad bike fan, and looking at getting a motorcycle license via the direct access scheme soon. But what a quad bike on the road? Do i need a specific license or does my standard driving do the job? and insurance wise is it expensive. Any help much appreicated
  2. that does look interesting to me never seen one like that. In regards to the pc with a weak signal, i would defo go for the powerline rather then wireless N, both come out probally the same price, but the powerline probally be more realiable and alot more faster and stable. worth i try, like i said ive never tried it, but something i would do, if i needed. what router you got at the moment? standard G? and how far is the PC from it, im suprised you got a weak signal even from a G, even a G+ is a worthwhile upgrade
  3. yh i saw that LE on the site aswell, shocked by the price, but a very nice car
  4. I would assume your existing printer/scanner is a all in one? if soo all you need is this Link to ebay if you scanner is separate then that item has two usb ports, but dont know whether it would work for a pritner and scanner in regards to powerline networking, ive never done it myself but i think its as simple as it sound Link to pcworld connect one in the room where your printer is connect it to the printer via ethernet, and the other side to a router, all depends whether your printer has a ethernet port. its something i was going to try for my tv adaptor directly connected to my router in the other room, but since switching to Be broadband, the router is now next to the tv so no problems there anymore Or even simplier get one like this which i have Link to pcworld cheap and cheerful
  5. lol yh thats what a thought aswell lol when im looking at a is200 i always look at the bottom range, so like 99 or 00 never above dont see the point really, in which case any tax changes would not affect it, hopefully, heres me with my fingers crossed. Is250 does make sense, and at the moment i do 60 miles per day, so yh would make sense. Should just continue saving and buy a decent IS250, I love it in gold color with cream seats lol
  6. thats probally why its cheap. I can remember about two years when i missed out a black is200 for 2.5k full kit, auto, sat nav, lowered, very nice car, he had it very cheap cause he living the country the next day and needed it gone, had people coming from all over the country, he had a vehicle check which showed it clear, but when i did a check on RAC it came back as accident write off, spoke to rac and there said it was written of many years ago. just goes to show how careful you have to. i was very close in buying extremely, but i would never drive a written off car, even if it is repaired and inspected. not for me
  7. haha good idea and just keep my 900pound astra lol
  8. To be honest its not something which Ive thought about alot, and some of the points above are noted. its something which i mate of mine said which made me think, 9k on a is220 or 250 or 3k on is200 and kit it. for me its all about luxury, comfortable, and needs to have toys. I had an IS200 for like 4 months untill i wrote it off cat B and absoutly loved it, especially when i though i paid 2.7k for it which was not bad. to get another is200 would be very nice and keep it cheap. however to have a is220 or 250 with all its toys, and the design of it, and how comfortable it is, would be a dream. ummm.... something to think about but undecided. Insurance wise, all options dont add up, if i bought a is200 today i would have to pay £150 a month, where as before i had one it was £100, 50 increase due to the accident. an Is300 would be worse, and a is220 or is250 would probally be even worse. Ive also looked at other makes and nothing seems to catch my eye and in my eyes the same standard as lexus, not much of a BMW person, unless its something like this link but i still would go for the lexus to be honest
  9. heres a few examples ive found on ebay: Link to car on ebay 2600 or best offer, so that would say to me he would accept lower another on ebay not sure exactly what V car register is, but still quite cheap
  10. well gutted mate, hope you sort it out, insruance probally write it off to be honest,
  11. Right heres a interesting choice which Im deciding on. Ive got 9k to spend and... Option 1: Do I buy a IS220 or if possible a IS250, and slowly save up again and start modding it Option 2: Buy a 2 - 3.5k IS200 99-01 reg, and use the rest of the money to mod it Edit: Option 3: Buy a IS300 and spend the rest of the money to mod it (probally cant get insurance for an is300 after writing my is200 off lol) What option would you take?
  12. 5.5 are you serious?? thats weird, as if you take a look on ebay and autotrader, so you can pick up a 1999 at around 2.5 - 3.5 check this out at 5.5k Car on autotrader Very nice color and in 54 plate at 6k
  13. SE or S version? any extras, such as sat nav, is it automatic or manual, what color? how long MOT, how long Tax? two keys? need more details mate
