  5. just want to say how nice Andy Cross at lexus Poole is! Called him for some old parts, not stocked any more, fine. I had a thought when I was on the phone with him, to ask him to find out if he can access any service records on my car, which I didn't think have any LSH. Andy not only located them also found out lots of details which I didn't even know myself. Faxed the full reports to my office as well, How nice....... Topman.... many thanks Felix
  6. Hi guys, got it sorted now, also thanks for asking, actully I am supprised no one asked apart from ORMI, maybe they all knew...... gods or gurus. it's a ECU for Gas, he he he...... it's great so far, smooth and with 3% of power drop which I am happy with.
  7. LEAVE them, they do nothing. BTW everyone, don't buy anything from uniparts any more, they are buying a few Millions of stock from us every year, looking at the list other day in my office, I was socked the stuff they wanted. ACAP stuff. The 3005, they paid us 12.68 for it. We got it for less than 10 from a "corner shop" in China, (I am a Chinese guy myself) Inc the import duty and shipping and import VAT, you work that out how much gone into making that battery........... and lots of these cases, other one like the oil filter, cost must be 30p to make them..... I am only telling your guys as a good well of a LOC member. buy the OEM parts (they made in china too, but much better QC) , if you don't believe me I will say nothing. Good luck...
  8. 1st, is it important to seal it? or can I just leave it like this? 2nd, when you say silicone, you mean normal bathroom silicone or some special stuff? sounds silly, but I got to ask . Felix

  14. I work for a German car parts Dealer, 330D are very poorly made, we can tell from the numbers of parts we are suppling to the trade inc the BM dealer. Saab dealer is next door, 93 is a joke, don't as my mate works in their workshops once joked about, don't buy any Saab. Yes, agree with Kam05
  15. Guys, I have a Dilemma here. you views pls. IS200 SE 03. tyres are: front 215 40 17, rear 225 45 17. he he he... don't laugh.... new tyres all around. I thought this setup will give me better handling when I got them. However, it looks bit odd.......... I can live with the rear ones, but front ones I like to change them to Falken 452 215 45 17 or 225 45 17 and also want to referb the wheels, cost isn't a lot. on the other hand, I am thinking should I just use them till next change due, then referb them and pay Tony a visit as well? maybe 20K later he he he... 1, should I change them now and resell the almost new tyres to recover some cost? 2, if I do should I get the 215 or 225 for the front? 3, should I referb all of them together or just the front ones? Dilemma Dilemma Dilemma....
  16. Welcome to LOC. kind of, 6 years. no need to rush it, planty posts about it. use the "search"
  17. classic marketing...... don't. I am sure the work will be 1st class, but you paying a normal price anyway. there is no difference you do it now or 1/2 year later. he he he he ind some time is as good as, and half the price. at ind: the parts £80 (from the dealer) + £125. at my local ind, someone worked at Lex for 10 years. same atctully better service.
  18. he he he.... thanks for your points. does make me think again. the car looks OK to me, maybe not in your eyes. to change them again? not for now, I may just use them for next 18K then try your idea next time around. penny for your thoughts..... Felix
  19. Hello guys just want to share my view on this one with you. I had a chance to replace all 4 tyres a little ago, and I had a thought if I use 40 at front and 225 at back, would it makes better handling? so I went ahead and did it. it has not been a bad idea at all, personally I felt it's at least improved the handling for noticeable amount. So your views???? Felix
  20. I just had a set of 4 new tyres change, they are 215 40 17 front, and 225 45 17 at back. I wish I found them before I changed the tyres, so I can put them on and get the wheel balanced then. anyway, I will give a go and let you guys know if 7g made any difference. he he he Felix
