  1. i just had my 5 spokes refurbished in anthracite 2 months ago, here a some photos of them before they've even had tires fitted on them and with the wheels on the car, hope it helps. they're not on a red i.s but it may help you photoshop
  2. iv just recently put in a vibe space 12, its not got an integrated amp so am running it with a vibe level 6 deathbox, 1000watts RMS, sound travels amazingly through the car, and when you want to pump it its got enough juice to wake the dead. one note though with the set up iv got. i think a bigger battery and alternator is in order, as my my lights on the car dim when i start to crank even the slightest.
  3. hi guys, just wanted to ask, can anybody post up a picture of an is200 with the 17inch standard alloys in the colour Anthracite. im in the middle of getting mines refurbed but just wanted to see what they look like on a lex before i get them painted that colour. thank you.
  4. yes mate their ik20's. i put them in myself so im sure they are the right ones.
  5. yea, its got 6 denso irridium plugs. it had this problem even before the plugs were changed.
  6. hi guys, i wonder if you can shed some light on this for me. ive got a 2001 is200 sport. ive had it for about 7 months now, but after a month of owning it, it seems to have developed an intermittent starting problem. it maybe happens like once in a month, or maybe once in 2 months. it happens when iv driven the car for example to work on a night shift and the car has been sitting till 7 in the morning. when i turn the key it will crank for about 10 seconds before the engine kicks into life. its been fully serviced 1 month ago, with 10w40 oil, but if i new the winter was this bad maybe 5w40 would have been better.lol its had a new set of plugs, filters etc and even a new battery. im just tottally confused. it happened it the summer time aswell with the heatwave so i cant be sure if its just the engine is cold. can anyone shed some light on this. car has 35k on the clock only.
  7. omg she looks so sexy i think i have to change me underwear...
  8. i got 8k on my black lex. i think 8k is the way to go, in my opinion 6k would look too oem hid, whereas 8k just gives off that something different.
  9. kev dood, how did you manage to get the easy base to fit in your lex. mines isnt isofix either and when i got mothercare and halfords to test fit the easy base, it rested on the buckle completley covering it. im having to fit the cabrio fix using the 3 point belt all of the time.
  10. not all have full electrics. if you use the search button you'l find all u need.
  11. like i said, i just bought a car seat 1 month ago and you WILL NOT find a base that will be safe because of the position of the seatbelt buckle. you will have to just secure a seat with the 3 point belt. i got the maxi cosi cabriofix and that without the base fits perfectly as a rearward facing seat but this is only a group 0 seat.
  12. yes that is correct. most seats will fit using the 3 point seatbelt as yours does not have isofix. the main point i was making in the pm, is that dont expect to find a base that fits using the seat belt as most of them rest against the buckle. i think i have a feeling that you may have gone to halfords.... so did i and they dont have a bloody clue the stupid morons. go to mothercare, they have a better idea what is going on.
  13. quite strange, i put my temp control on maximun and the blower on 2 and after about 20 minutes it feels like my face is going to melt off.lol.
  14. i had the fronts tinted light smoke on my old golf v6. yep they pulled me over, slapped me with a £60 fine and i had to take my car to the station within 7 days to show i had removed them. on top of that ITV news were there and i got my 5 seconds on fame on t.v for it aswell.lol
  15. if you lose the key matey you cant order a new one. you have to get the whole engine management system changed which contains the immobilizer. and i didnt know that 01 plates exist. and expect well over 100k for your budget.
  16. lol. anyone want to have a guess at what the last 3 letters stand for on mine.lol, it was on the car when i got it. S200 JOR.
  17. which lexus exactly are you planning on buying? i presume you mean the is200? their pretty bulletproof engines, things to look out for; check for the car juddering when taking off as this could be a sign of a worn clutch stick the steering on full lock and drive and listen out for any knocking noise. check for the notorious corrosion on the alloy wheels, or you could be looking at £60 a corner check the stereo to check for the dreaded "err3" make sure and make sure and make sure again that you get 2 (TWO) master keys and one valet key check the electric mirrors if they open and close properly if its got sat nav check it works properly and the screen comes up without problems and just the general things, just press every switch and and make sure it works. all credit for that list goes to Colin Barber who compiled this list on this forum... to give an idea of price, i bought an is200 sport 6 months ago, it had 35k on the clock only, half leather and suede seats, full electrics, full lexus service history, absolutly mint, not even 1 scratch on it. and i paid £4500... but i may have got lucky there.lol. but the only thing iv had to do with it it stick a new battery in it and new rear discs and pads... hope that helps. edit.... mines a manual and its as smooth as a babies bum cheek. but some arnt, youl have to drive it and see. the auto's are very good, but not my cup of tea as i prefere to have the feeling of being in control of everything in the car.lol. but i think the auto's give a little less MPG than the manuals but.... fuel figures if you dont know are about 20-35 mpg. and expect around 10-15 if you floor it all the time.
  18. i had the same problem when i was trying to change my foglight bulbs. the passenger side came out easily, but the driver side was a pain in my left testicle, it took half hour of persuasion to take out. but what you will find if your is anything like mine, the passenger side wire for bulb is very very short, and its easy to take out, but impossible to put back in without removing the shroud from underneath. personally i think you will save a lot of time and frustration if you just remove the shroud from underneath which takes only minutes, and then you can stick your whole hand in and change the bulbs without removing the light itself.
  19. well after half hour of fiddling and bending the clips slightly as tango said, i managed to get it secured properly with a satisfying click as it went in. thanx guys.
  20. are for real?? today i couldnt even do 5mph at one point.lol
  21. ive sorted the clip issue out, i just used some slim bolts i had lying around and bolted them through so its secure in the corners moreso than the plastics screws i believe. im only having an issue getting it to sit nicely in the clips on the bumper, well its dark now, il have another go tomorrow, i think im being a girl, im sure i need to apply more pressure to get them to sit and allign with the clips properly. and the Japanese instructions don't help, but i gather from the pictures that i have to pull the grill forward to get it to click into place.
  22. ok right thanx, it moves back if i put fair amount of pressure on it, thats why im annoyed. whats the best way to get it to sit properly from the bottom? gethandone p to push the bottom bit of the bumper inwards and another to push the bottom of the grill outwards? or is there meant to be a special way im supposed to locate the clips from the grille onto the bumper?
  23. i need a bit of help guys getting this grille on. i managed to get off all those plastic screws, but just managed to break one.lol. first question, i cant get it to snap into place from the bottom part of the bumper, or am i imagining it. is it supposed to sort of click into place, as right now, it just sits snuggly. i was expecting to hear a click when it goes in right. what am i doing wrong. secondly, where can i get a new clip from, or how about i get bolt and bolt it together? will this work? as if it does i want to change both grille ones for bolts as i cant get them to secure properly any help guys would be appreciated.
