  1. yes your right, but nowhere does it say kill anyone who does not believe. and yes you are right, Christianity and i slam are very similar. for example, Christians believe in Jesus to be the son of god. we to believe in Jesus, but in Islam he has a different name, and im sure you know that is the prophet Issa. a lot of the events in the history of Christianity are the same in Islam, but just told in a slightly different way. for example Adam and eve becomes Adam and hawa (however eve is recognized as a nickname.) Moses becomes prophet Musa Noah becomes the prophet Nuh Abraham becomes Ibrahim im sure you get my point. so i agree religions are very interlinked, most the evens are the same however just told in a different way so i dont see why there needs to be a war over it. and eddieblock is right, religion will become the the worlds biggest killer purely because of the amount of the small minded people out there. by the way, anyone know how long lexus birmingham take to deliver. lol.
  2. well i have something to say which really annoys me. im a british born muslim and i would like to clear this up and you may flame me if you so wish. BY NO MEANS DO GROUPS LIKE THESE REPRESENT THE MAJORITY OF ISLAM. This is just a bunch of small minded idiots looking to cause problems where they dont exist. in the whole of the qu-raan there is no mention of this crap that people are doing. no does it say that muslims should suicide bomb places. in actual fact the quraan states that muslims should be peaceful. i no way condone what these groups of extremists represent and i am very confident that 90% of the muslim population in the U.K also feel the same. it just a bunch of small minded people with small willies and small views. most of us just want to wake up, go to work, come home, enjoy ourselves and relax. im gonna be a father next month, and to be honest, i dont want my kid growing up with this crap all around. personally i belive that if you live here, u play by the rules and take up british culture. and as for sharia law, it will never happen, as i personally know that every muslim i know personally is against it. monster mat - your comment of buckingham palace, it will never happen, its apart of England and a part of british culture and i can guarantee that other muslims will back me up on this. monster mat - the phrase "inshallah" is not a terrorist or extremist phrase, it simply translates to "if god wills" sorry rant over. i just get annoyed when stuff like this flares up everyone automatically asume that all muslims are terrorists, im a nurse and the amount of times ive been askes if im a terrorist is outrages.
  3. yes you need a grom audio adaptor http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GROM-iPod-V2-Adapter...=item5d24398289 and yes your right the cd changer is an in-dash changer. the grom audio adaptor connects to the cd changer so yes the grom audio adaptor is designed to be connected to the cd changer.
  4. yea thanx that was very helpful, i pushed the make an offer button and got the grill for £34. thanks alot i cant wait to get my hands on it.
  5. hi guys, been looking for a sports grill for the is200 for ages now on ebay, however i cant find any that are in the U.K, as i dont want to have it imported from the states. so my question is, has anyone tried to modify the standard grill? what i had in mind, cut all the horizontal bars off including anything behind it, leaving just the outer frame, fill in the gaps, prime, paint and stick on a black mesh behind it? do you guys reckon it could be done or am i just having a random light bulb moment.lol thanks ghumra.
  6. anyone fancy getting their arse kicked on there, gamer tag on the ps3 is odd_sock351 . :winky: we got any clans on here? or shall we get one going.
  7. i was a bit confused what to get aswell, i went for 8000k hid's about 2 weeks ago, and i have to say hands up, it was the best £60 i spent ever, absolutly brilliant and they only take 10 mins to fit as asi said, the hardest part is finding where and how to mount the ballast.
  8. i have a set of denso iridium plugs in mine from euro car parts £10 each. as for shipping i have no idea,
  9. thanx for the reply. i ended up buying the maxi cosi cabriofix and just securing it with the 3 point seatbelt. i was hoping to get a base aswell but the ones that secure with the seatbelt rest on the belt clasp risking buckle crush. i wanted to do that so its easier for the mrs to get the seat in and out as i didnt want to have to wrap the seat belt over the seat all of the time. but seems like its what im going to have to do because of the location on the clasp. thanks.
  10. hi guys, me and the mrs are expecting our first very soon, im having a right ball ache finding a group 0 seat that will fit for sure in the lex, its a 2001 model with no isofix. ive had my eye on the maxi cosi cabriofix with the non isofix easyfix base as this is small and not to cumbersome., has anyone or know anyone with this seat in a lex? according the maxi cosi site it says that it will fit, but according to halfrauds the idiots told me they dont know. can anyone shed some light on my headache or reccoment a seat that will fit. i would ideally like one with a base so i can remove the seat easily rather than having to secure it all of the time when we get in the car any help would be great. thanks.
  11. cool thanx, i ended up getting some hid's from autotronics, only cost me £60. i was contemplating forever which colour temperature to go for and in the end i decided to go for 8k. had em in 4 days now and so far not even been flashed once. but i still feel i need to adjust them downwards a little. is this something that can be done at home or you guys think i should take it to a mot tester to adjust them.
  12. sorry the oil i meant was 5w-30, typo there. yea its thinner and gives better protection to the engine in low temperatures like the winter were having at the moment where its only like 2 degrees late afternoon. yes with an amp bypass lead you will lose the factory amp powering the speakers, but tbh, with the quality of the aftermarket units these days you will hardly notice the difference. im running a fusion cd-500 with mine and i actually think the quality with that is better of that than the factory amp. but it all depends on which head unit you put in. the reason you need an amplifier bypass lead is that there is not an iso connection behind the dash with the sport models. theres just 2 weird plugs that wont fit into a unit just like that. a bypass lead will take the feed coming into the amp and put it nicely into a iso lead for you so you can connect an aftermarket unit. hope that helps and if im wrong, im sure someone will correct me. welcome to lexus mate anyway, im fairly new, had my lex 7 months now and cant fault it even one bit.
  13. which oil is in there at the moment? i always use 10-40 and its never given me any problems however these last few days with temp near 0, thinking of putting in some 5-40 as i can feel some resistance when cranking and driving until its warm. yea my cd player did the same to me, ul have to get a amp bypass lead and facia to put in your unit, not that expensive. with the facia i used there is just a tiny cubby hole left where i leave my ipod.
  14. i just got my kit today, got it from autotronics in leicester for only £60, got the 8000k ones and they are the dogs danglies, best money iv spent in ages, totally change the look of the car. HB4 or 9006 is what you need.
  15. theyre not legal, however they are not a part of the MOT test hence you will get away when you get your car tested.
  16. quick question, sorry i dont mean to hijack this thread. but i am interested in putting some hid'd in my is200, but will they be legal, as iv heard their illegal on halagen relfector type headlights. so i dont want to fit them if the car wont pass its mot. any gen on this.
  17. personally i dont think you should molest you lex by putting in those gastly led strips. your car is a lexus, not audi. stick in some HID's, they look brill. i got a friend with 12k hid's in his fogs and to be honest they look the dogs danglies. il try and get you a pic.
  18. if you had a 8-way speaker system, the 2 other speakers would be imcorpirated in the rear speakers, i.e - mid range and high range. so the rear speakers would be 3 way. the is200 se and the is200 sport were 8 way set up.
  19. hi guys, just wanted to ask something. yesterday i had both my rear discs and pads replaced, however the fronts were only 6 months old but they had a glazing effect on them, so the garage recommended skimming them rather than replacing. since iv had the car back its been making a grinding noise as i drive, it doesnt when i brake though, iv been told that its just the discs and pads wearing in, is this true? how long should i expect this for, or should i take it back to him. thanks guys.
  20. if you remove the glove box, the aircon filter will be found there
  21. yes iv dealt with them, well not me personally, i was with a friend who sold his car to them... he sold his 1999 golf which had a market value of 1000 according to parkers and other golfs of the same age and spec on autotrader. his initial quote on the internet was 850, however when he got there the car was scrutanised and just for a scratch on the bonnet and missing some service history they offered 420..... awful that is.. just the other day just out of curiousity i got a quote for my is200 on the internet, 2001, 37k on the clock and full dealer history with not even a scratch on it, they offered 2500. :o so i think they are best avoided if you can.
