still getting 23.4 mpg from sc430 2.2 miles from work to home and back and 1 run 8 miles down motorway and back ???????? magnets rule

you think so ... only japanese cars in last 12 yrs try a vauxhall or an alfa at supermarket and see how you get on ......

if you think supermarket fuel is the same as say bp shell etc them that is your perogative but i have been dealing in cars for over 20 yrs and alfas are not the only car that suffers from probs with cheap fuel .. if u think they (sm) get there fuel cheaper than a reg garage that has the same size underground tanks then u are mistaken ....i have even written to flop gear asking them to do a test on fuels but got no where. why is it when any body put a constructive critisisum on a forum someone slams you down !

i used to sel l alfa romeos and we advised our customer not to use smarket fuel as it would put the engine mg lite on , this does not happen on decent fuel only on s/m petrol ????????? as for cleaner yes fuel system cleaner ..why dont you try some magnets and say bp fuel and see it will cost you 35 pounds and if they dont work i will refund you for the magnets

normal is fine dont use crapy supermarket fuel..... i use fuel magnets and decent petrol and put a fuel cleaner in it evry 6 months i get 24 around town

hi does it have a mass air flow meter or air meter...as this might no show on eml...try a diagnostic check..

hi my 430 gs had a knocking noise (quick repetative knock over nearly any surface) and the brake had a very slight judder ...changed the front a r b bushes today (bout 810 mins on ramp) and hepresto.. no knocking and judder gone .. so if you have a sim prob may be this i used gen lex bushes ..as a foot note the old bushes looked fine .....

oil will go dirty due to the soot factor of the combustion engine , it will depend on useage i.e stop start ect but changing oil 1/2 the schedule time is prob why yours is clean imo

this would be for the mk2 i already have a kit made by the co. for alfa gtv "cup" and they are superb never had a complaint re quality will be having the mould taken next week it will look like the sport with mior alterations ...

you can get a divice that will allow the roof to go up/down on seperate unit but not on the key

ive hadmy sc 6 months and i agree with the last post . i do watch top gear any more because they are a bunch of w**kers :tsktsk: . they slagged of the is f !!!!!!!!!!!!! where can you drive full drift on a uk road ????? best car i have owned and i still have an nsx (different car tho)

hi my mechanic put them on the fuel pipe close to the inj rail he runs a jtd alfa and his figure has gone to 62 mpg . if they dont work (which i cannot see )you can use them to hold items together .i.e kids drawings on the fridge we have just had a pack turn up and we are selling them fitted 60 pounds for 2 (knowledge cost etc etc ) u use 1 for small eng 2 for over 2 ltrs and 2 for diesel up to 5ltr

i have a sc 430 and have just put fuel saver magnets on it gone from 19 ave to 24,4 my wifes type s civic 2.2 tdci last 3 yrs returned 34-6 ave now with fuel savers 54 mpg and not going over 2000 revs ....

hi all just a word on mpg as it is now more than gold (cannot wait for the advert ..put your unwanted unleaded in an envelope and send to.....) i have just put a pair of fuel savers (magnets ) on my sc and its gone from 19 ave to 24.4 . on a run down bypass 12 miles to home comp read 30.9 at 70 mph then on to my estate (not private)... ;)
