well I can live with the import insurance. unless it is more ,better fuel consumption and more refined look! So I think I'll be benifitting! So in terms of getting odometer converted........ anyone know where this can be done? Foglamps........ I know we need them and they come as per uk with the winter pack (yes altezzas i remember you saying this, i forgot sorry) But what if it doesnt? What has other owners done? Don't be shy guys n gals! :) Mark....... so you have no third brake light? as this is your fog light? Also fuel restriction mod is to make sure only unleaded fuel nozzles fit (I think not 100% sure though)

Mark, if I remember correctly the FTO is group 20 (i think) so for me it's a saving to go to an Altezza!! good excuse really! Do you go down and cruise sarfend on the weekend?! :P Does anyone know what needs to be done to get it to pass SVA and what people have done? I know dials need to read MPH, how have you guys gone about doing that? Just a sticker? My FTO had a delimiter and convertor so dials show mph and odometer records in miles Foglamps??!??!!? My FTO has an added foglamp what about the Altezzas?? Fuel restriction pipe?? Don't know about that one My main concern is the foglamp!! cheers ppl

Hi Mark yes I really do want an RS200, wanna swap!! :P Thought not! Anyway you too have an RS200?? I was hoping insurance is cheaper than my FTO as I'm 25 and paying 1k on insurance a year is pretty steep!! I also see that your in essex too which is sweet. Where do you service your motor?? Altezzas uses the one in Rayleigh and says it's pretty good just wondered where other people get theirs done.

Well just wanted say that having been out in a RS200 (SXE10) I really do want one! Also wanted to thank ALTEZZAS for giving me the opportunity to pick his brain and let me test drive it!! :D (Well 'the opportunity' to test drive it! I refused as I couldn't trust myself ) This forum has some decent people and always oblige to answering questions!! Great forum, great people, great car! Now to sell my fto.................

Fidgets has recommended Mat (Supracharged) and it's one option. How long have you had the car? And what sort of mileage are you up to now? Fidgits, Thanks for your reply. Well I know the IS' will be bullet proof but my concern would be with regards to the BEAMs tuned RS200's seeing as they run on higher octane fuel and since keeping them well maintained is probably a key factor, the garages doing the servicing would need to know what they were doing. Wheres this gentleman from Chelmsford?! :) The importing thread I've seen and have messaged him about it too. Good guy and some decent deals about. So thanks for pointing me in that direction! Is he a moderator here and is he a good guy? Just out of curiousty whereabouts in wilts are ya? We have relatives in Swindon.

HI, Quite new here and was thinking about getting an Altezza SXE10 (RS200) and was wondering about servicing. A couple of questions that I hope someone could help me with: Servicing in a Lexus garage, do you know of any Lexus garages that would take on the work? I'm in essex but I guess many other people may want to know in other areas. Perhaps people could post where they get their cars serviced?? Prices? What would they normally charge for a standard service? Service Intervals? One other question - Reliabillity? Has anyone had any problems with their Altezzas that could potentially put me off getting an import? Cheers for your help Oliver

This thread really got me interested. I really do want an RS200 and from reading what Supracharged-IS340 has said so far I'm very keen. Big problem is £££ I have at the mo an FTO that I would need to get rid of first before I do anything. Second I know it sounds pikey but £10k may be out of my budget!! I wanted to get shot of the fto to replace it with a a 4 door saloon or 5 door hatchback. My choices were: Impreza Accord Type R Golf GTI For around £8500 - £9500 Always loved the Altezzas/IS200 but always thought it was out of price range and IS200 less nimble, until I saw the BEAMS one. Now Iif funds allow the one you mentioned Graphite Grey RS200 would interest me. But have a few questions: You mentioned that you bring over damaged and repaired Altezzas, the first one you posted - is that a damaged and repaired one? My budget of £9.5 would include SVA etc. could you do anything with that figure? What is involved with SVA to warrent £500?? (clueless about what is involved sorry :) Anyhelp or suggestions much appreciated - I know you guys are a good lot :P
