Hi, I have my double din unit, hasnt been installed yet, I am considering getting freeview. Has anyone got freeview installed and works on the move? If so what brand is it and how much will it cost roughly. Also how difficult is it to install.

Im seeing some varied quotes and only Nero is paying more than me, think him only being in the UK for 1 year and is 6 years younger has a lot to do with it, not so much age, some are getting what I consider, good deals!

I dont get why mine is so expensive, but Im goin to do a test with different post codes to see if there is a major difference.

Yes I hear that, but don't you think its still a con, what about all the years where there have been no natural disasters and therefore not as many claims, they are making shed loads of money, so in truth the insurance companies are most likely still in the green, but not as much. And yes ive heard that about women getting lower premiums will be illegal next December, im glad because its sexist, but I can just imagine, we wont see a drop, the women will see a rise to our level so they can make more money, after all, if we have spare money the government will find a way to get it from us.

Location does count for a bit, but I don't see how over £500 can be added to the cost of a policy within a month can be justified, regardless of where you live, I think there are too many false claims, people who get their car written off on purpose or stolen. Thats the sort of thing everyone else pays for, the people who do it don't care, because they will keep doing it aslong as they are making money.

Did your car used to be a Ford Fiesta or something, how is that price possible! wow lol Sprinter I'd say you are gettin a good deal, weird thing is in Feb when I did the quote, I could of been insured for less than £900 a year, so I cant understand how this £500 all round anual price jump is justified.

Atleast twice a week I do a search on compare websites for insurance for the Lexus, which prices do change daily. Im just wondering how much people are paying on insurance and what time of the year you are more likely to get cheaper insurance, if it works that way!? Im 26 and have been quoted: £1430 per year if paid in full, or £1633 total if paid monthly (2 different providers) I have had my licence nearly 5 years and have got 3 years NCB Ive havent insured the Lexus yet as I am still paying on another car, but want to have it insured before summer time. Just want to compare with current Lexus drivers if you dont mind stating your premium and age so I can see if I am getting ripped off.

Well I think it being a 280T, prob would mean its a 280 BHP Turbo, and looking at the reg i'd say its 1999. Im sure its gona have some top range spec. Although the interior is the only thing letting it down in my oppinion. I like the smiley face look at the front view.

Well looks like im goin to have to wait a little while longer for this mod to be complete as one of the SMD's is faulty I confirmed today. Atleast i know its gona look good when its complete. :)

Hi people, Im having a new windscreen put in soon, and just want to know if anyone knows where I can get a windscreen seal for less than £65 which ive been quoted so far. It has to be brand new, as when they are taken out of a car they get damaged. If not then I guess £65 for the seal will have to do.

Yep deffinately ebay, like bobba said its very unlikely u will get the drivers seat, you may be able to get the 2 front seats, if your seat is black youve got a good chance, if its cream, I would pray!

You would be better off just getting a new seat, or whole interior if you cant find one to match.

I will try to get to the bottom of this later on if its still light when I get home, if the bulb is out, can you just replace the one bulb or do you have to replace the whole set?

So does it matter that all my wires that used to go into the back of the old headunit are cut? Will my new unit work just from the amp to the back of the unit using the bypass cable?

I ended up using a small set of thin screwdrivers, they worked fine. Question, what website do you use to post images so that they can be seen on the forum rather than clicking a link, I use image shack.

I will try swapping the bulbs around thats a good idea, atleast then I will know if any are faulty. The smaller bulbs are quite fiddly, one of them irritated me for a good 10mins. I will check it out 2moro, hope I dont need a replacement already.

Ive got my eyes on the Zymol Titanium, it is quite dear, but for what it is do you think its worth the retail price? And what shampoo do you use to clean the car if you have used the Zymol wax..?

Fitted mine yesterday, but seems there is a dark patch, wonder if one of the bulbs is faulty, I did swap it around and it went completely black when I did.. Speedo Click Me

Still waiting for someone to tell me if they have used Zymol at all. I have a silver car so would need wax best suited for that colour.

I love the car also and ive only driven it forward and backwards a few yards, the interior is second to none in its class and can easily be changed to suit you. Not the best for power; but you can make any car powerful if you really want to. Anyway welcome and enjoy B)
