  1. Is there a specific Sony Nav that you need to get; and is it complex operation to fit to the IS Nav housing
  2. Hmm well im hoping the Sony is decent as an hour before I read the post I had ordered it. I dont think it will be bad, I hope not. Its handy that its got built in bluetooth though.
  3. What do these custom fitted navs look like, or do u mean just use the housing of the oem nav and replace the inside with a sony nav?
  4. Yes it was just the screen and housing and could get the loom easily. But no dont have the player, so I will take your advice and knock that one on the head and just sell the screen and housing. Thanks anyway
  5. I know it will be quite complex, I think I will leave it for a while do some more research and when the times right in the summer I might have a go and see what happens. Think it will be worth it if I could get it running tho.
  6. Hi all, just want to know what waxes you have tried and which works the best. My personal budget for a tin of wax is £50, so before I buy I just want some opinions and advice. Thanks any info would be helpful
  7. Im pretty sure there is a supercharged IS in Wolverhampton!
  8. I have luckily come across a IS200 sat nav which I got for peanuts so didnt refuse it. Would like to know can this be fitted to work in an IS200 that didnt originally have a nav. I can assume there have to be wiring changes, but as my looms was cut before I had the car Im still in the process of finding the loom that will fit the stereo. Can this work without too much difficulty
  9. thanks for that, just gotta get the bulbs now then. Are they as bright as the standard orange lights?
  10. Hi, im looking for an LED speedo (dash) kit, wondering which one is best to get and where to get it from. Here are 2 ive sen on ebay, they seem different but which one is better? SMD Dash Kit Dash Kit 2 the 2nd seems a bit dull if that image is of the actuall kit for sale. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  11. I know, I noticed that aswel, but I think the one im looking at getting has a chrome extension piece that would probably fill the gap. But my leather gaiter goes quite high up on the handle so that also may work in my favour
  12. lol thanks for that Bob. Maybe I should buy that and test my experiment, might be easier and less messy to do off the car. Just not sure how hard it is to take the whole thing out and replace.
  13. Oo Derby isnt too far away from where I live, so hopfully I will get to one in the summer if there is one.
  14. I did see the ones you are talking about on a website, but not sure if im keen on them, the styles I seen available arent as good as the few ive got my eye on. Goin to invest in a mini hacksaw I think. Wouldnt mind knowing where I could get some suede gaiters, if they actually exist anymore for the is200
  15. Which city was this held at? looks real good, all nice is200's in their own ways. I cant wait until I get to go to one.
  16. Im with u on that, I would like the ones with the sport logo
  17. OK I'm ready to purchase but im torn between 2 head units now 1. Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD £400 2. Sony XAV-70BT £447 Both are decent specs. Difference is the Sony comes with built in bluetooth and a remote + 52 watts x 4 Pioneer has no bluetooth built in no remote + 50watts x 4 with an 8 band EQ and looks so much sleeker than the sony. Having the bluetooth would be handy and the remote is a bonus. But the look of the pioneer is superior in my eyes and they have been making double din DVD player units much longer than sony. So hard got an hour to decide... Any opinions
  18. Hi Ive been thinking about changing my handbrake handle for an after market one. I was wondering has anyone done this, or does anyone know how to remove the handbrake handle itself; I have tried prising it out but it wont budge so I'm thinking it could be a saw off job..? Any info appreciated.
  19. Nope, talking about the darker rear lights. for the clear fogs have a look on ebay, but you probably will find you can only get them from taiwan or america, and maybe another foreign countries. Everywhere but the UK!
  20. Can't believe the price on the batteries! I bought one a couple weeks ago was £2.50 and I felt mugged!
  21. My wires have been cut, not by me but a previous user down the line. So having to hunt down a loom, when I eventually find one out of a scrapper will try wiring it up. As for connecting it to an aftermarket stereo, will deffinately buy a harness, if you do get one, dont get a cheap £15 one becuase they are made to a high standard and subs wont work unless you use seperate wiring. Im about to buy one myself. But if you dont want to buy a harness then you have a loose connection within the wiring causing it to cut out its happened to me on a previous car
  22. So did they contact you saying theyve got your item held and you have to pay a fee to get it, or did they knock your door and demand cash which wouldnt suprise me if they did that.
  23. Thanks for the info, will have to give it a try and see what happens. Atleast then i'll know what to expect in future, and I agree if they dont put the price on or make the parcel look like a sale hopefully it wont ring alarm bells to the TAX man
  24. Good day people, Ive seen some rear lights on ebay that i am considering buying from USA, and they say all VAT and customs fees are charged directly to them and I wont have to pay any extra when they get here. Does anyone know the law on this and if what they are saying is true, I would hate to be stung buy a duty charge at my door step! Thanks in advanced.
  25. I need/want some of these dials. So if anyone knows when or where there is any around im a buyer.
