  1. What is the frame number and where can I find it?
  2. I wouldn't say theres much evidence of whinge and whine, but as Col stated it comes down to how things are being said and expressed rather than what is being said. That in particular instantiates people's retaliation (so to speak) and the way that is portrayed by the community. Everyone has a way of expressing their opinions but we mustn't forget that digitalized communication carries no sense of emotion other than what is perceived by the read and how they interpret what is being said. And it goes without saying, this forum does attach a lot of problems, that's what makes this forum a great place to start because there are no doubt many individuals capable of helping and advising. But as stated, it's how we interpret those messages that inevitable lead us to determine their fate as whinge or whine posts. Regardless, I disagree with any whining. I think everyone in ther own wit and respect have contributed a lot with their issues and the feedback and help that is delivered as a response is unimaginably appreciated without doubt.
  3. Anyone here been to the Hatfield Lexus dealer? My 220D SE-L was originally bought in Milton Keynes, and service for 4 years there. I bought it 3 months ago and dread taking it to a dealership with disappointing results. I would be much happier to go somewhere else.
  4. Shepherd, can you let us know how your visit to the garage goes? I have a similar problem, only mine occurs after 30 mins of driving. It judders when pulling away, and higher revs gives me that feeling of the entire front end of my car jumping.
  5. The key battery was a mind blow for me. My battery died, and I spent three hours trying to find a replacement in all sorts of stores. Even my nearest depart was out of stock, who would of thought? The last place I looked was the first place I should of looked. Local street Market. 3 for £5. Sorted.
  6. The sound from the dash is common. This has been discussed previously. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=70288
  7. It's a lot more reassuring to see positive notes come out from positive owners. This forum was renowned for its ownership of community based affiliation that brought Lexus owners together and give everyone the chance to help and advise one another where sometimes dealerships can slack. On top of that, it is imperative that this positive attitude continues, at the end of the day all opinions account whether their good or bad, but believe me, I would rather come here and read posts than be put off by negativity that concerns me about my own vehicle. Its great that everyone gets along. I love the help that's provided here and I think those who commit to providing tutorials with pictures are exceptionally appreciated. When you can't pester a mechanic to let you in to the workshop to pick up tips, you can rely on LOC to give you a digital experience.
  8. Hi all, My name is Cue. These forums first caught my attention in 2007, when a friend of mine bought her first Lexus IS200. Since then I have always looked upon this place as inspiration and point-of-knowledge for many years. It also led me in to buying my very own Lexus IS220d. It's a 2006 plate SE-L model only sitting on 38k, fully equipped with HID kit and a few other bits I've noticed a lot of IS220 owners attempt to upgrade to. So, asides the HID upgrade which is essentially standard with the SE model, I am hoping to continue interacting with many of you and getting on my way. Looking forward to mingling. NOTE: I purchased some brake calliper decals a while back, does anyone know who I should be contacting to chase this up? Any info much appreciated.
