  1. Went to a car show in Kent today …great day out with a good mix of vehicles .
  2. I have one of the bigger NOCO smart chargers and alway leave the battery connected when charging .
  3. Now I would NOT recommend buying these pattern parts , but take the part number and check them on Amayama.. https://gbr.grandado.com/products/valve-variable-control-timing-solenoid-for-lexus-gs400-gs430-gx470-ls400-ls430-lx470-sc400-sc430-15330-50011-15340-50011?variant=UHJvZHVjdFZhcmlhbnQ6MjUwMDQ1NzQx&gad_source=1 parts come from Japan or UAE 👍🏻
  4. Few of us here buy our parts direct from JAPAN, look up the parts you need here…. https://www.amayama.com/en
  5. I’ve put some RTV sealer along that lower screen rubber seal, outside and inside. Inside is best done with roof half down. looked at the options..far too much work replacement the original seal.

  7. No problem…I I’ve got some creosote in the shed somewhere !😁😁 what paintwork you had done then ?
  8. How far down France are you ?
  9. See if YouTube give any advise on the two engine codes. i would inspect all the plugs and also check they are the correct plug for that engine , DENSO is the factory brand. That switch wiring needs to be inspected . Couple of guys on forum who had flat batteries all the time fitted a battery remote cut off, no ideal but made the cars reliable again .
  10. The trip computer gives miles left….but it’s only a guide try not put it to the test 😮
  11. Misfire can be the coil power packs it just identifying which ones need replacing or do the lot. camshaft position sensors can be found new on eBay , not done one myself but again youtube will be your best friend for advise 👍🏻 if the oil has got very dirty over time it may have clogged the position sensors …….if the engine is caked in hard burnt oil inside ….this will be the time to bail out of the project ..or get a used engine . First no cost fix is get oil level correct 👍🏻👍🏻
  12. Driveshaft ABS reluctor rings are common with the older examples as are the oxygen sensors . have a look on YouTube with a tutorial on how to put out the VSC light 👍🏻 If that’s doesn’t work get yourself an engine code reader 👍🏻
  13. The first red car must have been taken with some sort of filter as to much chrome affect on the paint work , 2nd red one with the red seatbelts is a true colour👍🏻
  14. See if you can trace the wiring back to see what it does 👍🏻 Pop the heated seat switch out and lift out the centre consul wood will help …no screws it just lifts out with a bit of fiddling.
  15. Prices are so varied I’d say 2.5k to 9k .
  16. They don’t have a switch in the armrest 👍🏻 battery drain can be an issue with some examples , tracker fitted by dealer will kill a battery in a week ! Possible boot lights staying in etc Try locking it with the key, not the alarm will help.
  17. Tell us more 👍🏻👍🏻 ..just seen your new thread on the subject 😎
  18. Sorry to say Sherlock it’s off to specsavers with you 😉 Different trousers, both colour and cut of pockets.
  19. Brake/suspension cleaning and painting all finished 😎
  20. Lovely original looking example 😎😎
  21. I use a tomtom for my trips out ,low on screen right hand side .
  22. Like other cars I’ve done this too…the underseal can be topped up yearly. It’s not going to see salt from the roads , I’ve got RAV4 in the household to do winter work 👍🏻
  23. I really should get out more 😉
  24. Finishing touch this morning …decal.
