  1. Im sure ive seen this done with paint also. If u can find the right paint then shud be easier
  2. Genuine ones from Lexus http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=170982259351&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=23264222605
  3. Im in Sheerness. Dont know how much interest u'll get, majority of people seem to be everywhere but round here lol
  4. Its been done, theres even one on eBay at the minute if u fancy asking the seller some questions about it maybe http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-Lexus-IS200-Sport-Silver-LPG-Conversion-Private-Plate-/171010058757?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27d0fe6a05
  5. Would be interested, however only have chrome ones (on car) but do have some spare ones painted grey that i got from someone else
  6. Had this issue too. Got mine from toyota. Heres a link to one on eBay http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=251224782189&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=52644144579 Brand new this is more or less what u'll have to pay. Sometimes come up a couple of quid cheaper, unless u can find someone with a spare or second hand
  7. Save up for a turbo instead of paying silly money for a Lexus windscreen ;-)
  8. Had the catback exhaust replaced completely as it turned out the people who did it didnt do a particularly good job. Still looks more or less the same just not as loud. Might get it made a bit louder again eventually. Apart from maintaining (cambelt and water pump will be soon) i havent really done anything to it. I do however have a genuine C-West front bumper that will be going on but depends when i have the money spare to get it done. P.s to the OP, sorry about the thread hijack ;-)
  9. If ur thinking of the tall guy with the quad tail pipes then yeah lol
  10. Get it fitted by Autoglass, i'll put a lexus sticker on it and u can pay me £300. I'd appreciate the money more than Lexus ;-)
  11. Yep. Full year shud be £270 ( was last year ). cars BEFORE 2001 use the old tax system and 2001 and after we get shafted lol.
  12. Saw one on eBay a few weeks ago that was at about 270k and when i was at WIM last year a guy getting his LS done said he knew someone whos 200 done over 300k. Im at 55k at the mo, so fingers crossed lol
  13. Thought it would be a good alternative to buying the wheels themselves, the whole car is only at 400 at the minute. Obviously it'll go higher but if someone wanted to do what Ian did and break the rest of the car then could be worth while for someone. Just a thought.
  14. Just thought id post cos maybe someone who wants them cud get them this way and make some money off the car selling parts (depending on final sale price). The bodykit parts wud be an added bonus either to keep or sell. I do agree that the Aero's do look nicer, size wise and in general, but also agree the prices for these are stupid. Hence this cud be a good buy for someone.
  15. Noticed the other day a car being sold for spares or repair on ebay that has Aero wheels on it. Hes selling it as a whole and so u cant get the wheels by themselves. Maybe if someone had the time and/or space they cud break it themselves and keep the wheels as these are not cheap to get hold of. Or buy it, drive it to a scrapyard, then take the wheels home lol. Obviously depends what it goes for but could be viable for some of u. Item number: 170987702412
  16. I meant about the other threads that were hijacked lol. Just saying theres no ill feeling towards the 300. If they were manual and if i knew they existed at the time of me getting the 200 then i might have got one lol. Anyway as long as u love banter as much as the other guys then im sure everyones a winner ;-)
  17. There isnt negativity towards the 300 at all. What there is however is alot of banter between u and others about the subject, mainly due to ur slight exaggerations on its performance with u behind the wheel, ur need to menton ur 300 nearly every chance u get and the fact u are easily provoked into argument. Either take it as harmless banter or maybe u shud ignore it. Just friendly advice ;-)
  18. Yes Martin handling did play a part in those faster time results of the GTR and LFA compared to the Enzo but that cannot only be the main factor. but to say thier lap times around the ring is pointless will be a big understatement. other parts do play a part aswell. and this was all i was trying to let matt , transporter and ray know bigger bhp figure or 0-60 figure does not always mean fast. and I think the mistake these dudes are making is dwelling on the 211bhp, 8.2 secs and 143mph the IS300 has stated in its book and using that as the true performance of the car. but I own the car and drive it everyday and encounter other guys with similar or slightly powerful cars who want to play when its safe to do so and the IS300 tells a different story as to the way it responds and picks up speed in gears when floored. so I wont be wrong if i call it fast car. Seeing as they're all very fast cars and the track is VERY long with countless corners then handling IS the deciding factor. Again this is abit of a pointless reference tho unless of course u race cars more powerful than urs around a track.....which u dont. Or u race like this on the streets? Which i hope u dont. So i can only assume u 'race' people in a more linear fashion i.e. Straight roads or motorway, in which case handling doesnt really come into it. In which case this boils down to bhp, power:weight, torque figures so theres no need for the track references.
  19. hmmmm i wonder who steers it in that direction? Lol
  20. Or in other words yet another 'classic' thread hijack about snow thats ends up about noby's 300 lol
  21. Had to back track a few pages to remember how it started lol. The Transporter made the mistake of mocking noby's "worlds fastest IS300" and so began the onslaught of figures on the 300 and anything even slightly revelant to his argument lol.
  22. noby76 lets be fair tho comparing the power to weight ratios of those cars (GTR, Enzo, LFA) and there laps times around 'the ring' is abit pointless. The GTR handles like a housefly and from the times u posted suggests that the LFA does too. To say that track has a few corners would be a massive understatement so obviously handling is a major factor. A much smaller track wud be better for that argument but ultimately those figures are best used for straight line performance purposes really.
  23. I know the price is indeed a bit high but im sure someone cud point that out and knock quite a bit off. Im sure u wudnt find many with such a low mileage these days and thought a quick post might benefit someone on here thats all :-)
  24. Thats ok it wasnt an attacking statement anyway ;-) just saying. Lets be fair tho the americans do go abit overboard with there engine sizes. New Viper for example, 8.4 litres? I know its about 640bhp but do u really need 8.4 litres? Lol. Obviously ur prob on about much lower spec cars but most other markets dont really resort to such large engine sizes. Dont get me wrong tho i do like muscle cars ;-)
