  1. I totally concur with all of the comments.

In a world full of selfish people who are only out for themselves Tony stands out as a selfless man whose dedication and knowledge has helped many members of LOC.

He is a sheepskin among dufflecoats.

    Top man Tony.

  2. Field Remedy: 1523

Subject: Engine Stalls - Idle Air Control dirty

    Models: Engines: Option:

    Vectra-B 1996...2001,Omega-B 1996,5...2003,Astra-F 1996...1999,Astra-G 1998...2000 X18XE| X20XEV,X20XEV,X18XE| X20XEV,X20XEV X18XE,X20XEV

    Complaint: Poor idling, Engine stalls.

Cause: Sticky idle air control valve caused by oil vapor.

    Production: None.

    Remedy:

In case of customer complaint check the bore for crankcase ventilation in the

throttle housing, clean it if necessary and replace the idle air control valve.

At the Omega-B replace the connection piece for pre-heating if the bore for

    crankcase ventilation is blocked.

  3. Which way up have you fitted the front Lexus caliper stickers?

The same way up on both sides. (So the L is at the top or bottom on both sides)

    or

So they can be read from the same direction. ( From the front of the car or the rear) so the L will be at the top on one side and at the bottom on the other.

    Also

Has anyone fitted the stickers curved to follow the shape of the caliper, if so pictures please and how did you do it?

    :D  :D

The "L" stickers go on only one way round, they are not double sided. Pete Jenkin does the curved type sticker that follows the shape of the caliper, they look vey good.

    Mike

They can go on more than one way round. With the L at the top on both sides of the car or the L at the top on one side and at the bottom on the other side. They do not need to be double sided to do this.

    If that makes sense.

  5. I have finally found the time to paint my calipers (well the front ones anyway I will do the rears another day) I decided to paint them black to go with the car. I have some Lexus decals to go on which I will do when the paint has fully cured. How easy are they to put on?

Also replaced the front pads with Mintex pads (courtesy of Prolex) while I was at it, just need to bed them in now.

    :D :D
