  1. If you go custom wheels like some of the posh Volks, HREs, DPEs, Kinetics, DTM Kruez, iForged... there all custom made to fit your requirements. 4wks is normal lead times... Thanks Mat But is it still safe? As the wheels will be sat entirely on the spacers. Also will it look weird that the fronts stick out more? If it bothers you about the fronts having a wider track, push out the rears too, i did :winky: Note: changing rear studs is a pig, they don't have to be as long as the fronts, in my case it didn't have to be. I had a local machine shop make me some spacers with the spigot ring (hub ring) machined in at the same time :)
  2. Looks good mate, fit and finish is superb on the bumper :) IMO, get rid of the entire brake guard, the only decent bit is at the front of the car where it ducts air onto the inner side of the disc, that part you've chopped off. Stud wise just get longer ones, i had to do this for mine with spacers. Those TTE rims are 50mm offset iirc? 10mm spacer shouldn't cause any major issues with rubbing or fouling.

    Broken

:D All good mate, see you there!
  4. It will need some stopping power :D I heard some good and bad things about Hi-Spec, more bad than good
  5. Mr Singh

    Broken

Thanks mate. Hows yours? will it be at JAE?

    Broken

Indeed it is :D I had about 10 bolts left over... Doh that was the old head bolts Well if it goes tits up, i'll know who to blame Must say its very easy, although a very long winded process when you have no parts!
  7. Stock lump reliably will produce 280-300hp if tuned correctly. You can have 250hp but very badly tuned and still kill your engine, all about the tuning when it comes to turbos.. If you want more power up the boost, thicker head gasket and bobs yer uncle. Your looking around £1k for forged pistons, maybe cheaper if u do some digging. Mines back on the road :winky:
  8. yup very hard! best way to preserve the condition is to keep ontop of it, simple as that
  9. Fibre glass mate. Would've thought it would be a perfect fit for HKS. But aftermarket kits never seem to fit properly. Labour costs were pretty sound as the guy who did it does my mates Supras so he sorts us out. He has actually stopping fitting aftermarket bumpers as there's not really alot of money to be made in the time frame because of the constant remaking to fit. Suprised is fiberglass, just be careful not to knock it, northampton has some trully shaat roads, well everytime i go there i have to drive with my hazards on avoiding those cretors people call 'potholes' lol look fwd to the end product :D
  10. Whats the OP like on your paint? (orange peel) all the astral blacks i've seen has some mild to heavy OP, but the later models weren;t that bad.. I took some rather drastic measures against OP http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=25469
  11. looks fantastic... mines not been washed for 3 months
  12. Looking good mate.. Week to make it fit? labour charges must have been is it fibreglass or plastic?
  13. Lee, do you have the RS Part no. can't access the link you posted, ta
  14. Thats odd, those are coolant pipes under the TB. Maybe some debris made it up there or something shot off the belts and slashed it? My spare parts would be sold as complete. What i have, 3S-GE Gen 4 Head 8x Exhaust Valves (still installed, Complete with Shims and Buckets) 1x Exhaust Camshaft 1x Inlet Cam Pulley 1x Exhaust Cam Pulley So out of that, you would need; 8x Inlet Valves (plus shims and buckets) 1x Inlet Camshaft Its my old head so those parts you need are what broke when i had to fix mine. I just bought a complete head from Chisiang :) To make the head complete, camshafts are £219 each (but you can use your one) head set £107 (this inc. EVERY gasket for a head off rebuild inc. Head Gasket) cambelt £27 head bolts £7 each inlet valves £15 each buckets £12 each shims approx £9 each (loads of sizes) TBH, you need to take your head off and see what needs replacing. As you have a Turbo, you could lower the CR (compression ratio) using a HKS Head gasket. Proper way to do it is to do Rods/forged pistons etc... This way you can up your boost from 0.5bar to as much as 1bar, but more boost doesn't always make for an efficient system, not sure the Greddy turbo has much headroom tbh.. Crack the head off, find out how many and which valves are bent, and if you want to buy my old parts as spares or just to work on then let me know! Maybe he meant to say steam rather than smoke :P I don't get why it detonated with 0.5bar boost, maybe its very badly tuned :winky:
  15. Had few dealings with Alex, no problems, even dealt with his brother based in Scotland, no issues. Sorry to hear of your problems
  16. :) people have no excuse for not seeing me brake, with a mid level and fogs as brake lights. Excellent, thats a little more representitive of what i thunk how these would operate :) I shall install mine soon as after seeing that :D
  17. Yeh, very stupid. But they have good car control, maybe put them in a proper drifting situatiion, i bet they could produce the goods! Unless they need humans as target practise
  18. Gutted for you mate. If you need a spare head, valves (exhaust), or camshaft (exhaust) let me know, i have one :) Did you find out where water leak was from?
  19. Yup, big thumbs up from me too, thanks mate! Anynews on those wotsits ;)
  20. Very sorry to hear that. Compression test should give you somewhere around 13-11psi per cylinder. IIRC you have a Greddy Turbo kit? Most users run 0.5-0.65bar (7-9psi) of boost used in conjunction with a Greddy E-Manage. The engine can't really take more than 10psi of boost, so i'm doubtful its detonated due to boost, although it could be a combo of heat and fatigue?.... Check compression and see how it looks, also pour more water in and see if it leaks out, look for the leak, if its coming from the bottom end of the engine, looks like a rods smashed through :( Good luck!
  21. Rockfords later HU where outsourced by a Korean company. Infact alot of the product is now ;) That amp is ok, make sure you have warranty though :)
  22. Eibach are looking at releasing a kit for the IS/Altezza, camber and caster adjustable :) Any ETAs on that?
