Could anyone tell me if this would be easy enough to fit... Id like a double din touch screen, i dont really want to pay silly money and this looks like it does everything i want, id put my music on an SD card and play from the unit... I already have an aftermarket single din Sony stereo in at the moment, this was in when i bought the car... Would anyone recommend changing the standard air filter for a new sports one, like an induction kit or something? Does it make any difference, other than in sound... Anyone done it?

Ha ha... Cheers but I'm sure there are a lot better qualified people than me about, might still have another go at it to see if I can get it any better... But it's never going to be perfect...

Yeah you're right Noby76... I love driving the car and you can just see the lines if you're looking for em, it just sticks in my throat ha ha and I want it mint... As you say though, it may not be worth spending hundreds getting a couple of lines out... On a side note... Can anyone recommend a decent touch screen double din stereo to replace my single din sony....

Yeah the fella said he would sand the door and re spray them and then mop and polish the whole car to make the paint look like one as such, also gets rid of the swirls in the paint.... I'll end up getting him to do that in the end I reckon.

I was doing that yesterday, building up some paint and using 3000 wet and dry to lightly go over it then a compound and got it to the state it is now... I'll either have another go later or tomorrow and see if I can get it any better.

I'm going to have another go at it... They look a lot better than they did. From most angles you can't notice them but I know deep down there there... I'm OCD ;)

That would be awesome and also justified... If you have the intention of keying a car then you should look forward to 30,000 volts shooting through your body, insuring you never have that though again!!

Yeah my car says its Glenarvon pine 6r4 but in Halfords that code comes up as mica, to be honest I wasn't really thinking about it but it looked virtually the same... The fella made me a pot for £9.99 and then gave me an applicator bottle with a needle and brush kind of thing, I've spent a little while playing about with the two scratches and they are still visible but nowhere near what they were... Here's a before and after of one of them... You can see how deep the key mark is, now at some angles you can't see it but if you look dead on you can... A friend of a friend works for a body shop and he said he could redo the doors and then mop the whole car so it's all shiny for £100... That sound like a decent price to people?

Looking in the manual for my car the paint colour is listed as Glenorvan Pine 6R4, does this sound right to people? Going to pop into halfords this morning and see if they can mix me a small tester pot... is this what i need to ask for? Ive been toying with the idea of replacing my sony single din stereo with a double din touch screen, after the car being Keyed i have these visions of waking up at 4am to the sound of my alarm and some skag head hanging out my window after ripping it out.

The annoying thing is its on 2 different doors on different sides of the car, just malicious... Wouldn't have been so amusing if I had seen them, they would have needed Tcut for their face!! Kids thinking its funny, jealousy, people don't like others having nice things.... Anyone know if I can get something in halfrauds early doors tomorrow?

It makes me sick.... I'll try some T cut but I can get my fingernail in em... So they may be a bit deep, what about paint pens, just so they don't stand out as such? So after having the car Mot'd and passing.... Someone today decides to key it... Makes me sick!! 2 key scratched on different doors.... Anyone have any tips for getting rid or making them not look white? I sometimes wonder what the point is or working hard to have decent things....

I've had my Lexus for a year now and I have to say it's the best car I've driven, so smooth and I quiet.... Just done the first service, oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter... Had her Mot'd yesterday and passed with flying colours and no advisories, the fella said she's the rolls Royce of Japanese cars, he said he couldn't believe how good it was, I suppose that's partly because it had full service history when I bought her a year ago. Well here's to another happy year of motoring ;) A couple of new pics....

Yeah you can't see it unless you right up close to it... You can see what I mean about the kind of crazing in the paint, just irritating.. It's not going to be worth laying to get that sorted, I may as well leave it but with all the space where I live how does someone hit a parked car, I wish I had seen it... I would have gone ape **** ha ha

So I go out this morning and It seems someone has kindly reversed into the back of my Lexus. Loads of space where I live so how they managed it I don't know.. annoyed is an understatement. Not much damage to see but on the rear bumper where they've hit it it looks a little dull in paint kinda like a white patch but very faint, you cant see it unless you look up close and on the same patch it seems to have crackled, well that's the best way I can describe it. Any ideas how to get the dullness away... It may only be small but it's so annoying when the car looks as good as it does. Cheers guys...

I think they look really smart mate... Especially in the pic from behind with the front wheel angled out a bit... they look really tidy... If you have these and the Aero's at least youll have the best of both worlds.

My local Timpsons done mine inside a Tesco store... he cut the key normally, took him 5 minutes and he even took the transponder out of my old one and moved it to the new key... It cost £7 and worked first time and still working fine now. Only thing he did say was he couldn't guarantee the blade because i didn't buy it from him.
