Just driven to family event and when I turned up I've noticed I've lost one of the black plastic strips on the roof that covers the roof rack... Anyone know what there called and where to get some? Cheers people ;-)

Just a quick question guys... This morning I popped to the shops and when I came home I got out and pressed the Door lock button on the fob, the doors locked as normal and the indicators flashed once as normal also. The alarm then went off a couple of times randomly so I popped out and locked the car again. I noticed that if I press the lock button once you hear the doors lock and indicators flash once and if I press it again I hear the doors make another noise but I don't get the five indicator flashes. Is that the double locks... I thought if it double locked it flashed five times or is that to indicate something else? Cheers guys.

There is a Kensington green and a Glenarvon pine as well I believe... I recently had to get some touch up paint for some scratches and mine was the Glenarvonrvon pine...

I bought mine 18 months ago when it was on 125k miles... It had FSH and loads of receipts for any work done, all little things really but you could tell it had been looked after. Had an MOT about 4 months ago and flew through it, only thing I've had to do in that time really is replace a bulb... (Touch wood) Champagne driving on Lemonade money if you get one that's been looked after ;-)

Looks like there's definitely something on there... Any ideas how best to get it off?

Quick question guys... Do the drivers and passenger side front windows have any kind of tint or film on them? The passenger window looks to have patches on it, like parts of a film have worn away.. You can only really see it when in the car and looking out. Any ideas?

Just a quick post guys... Ive got these 18" Aero's on my car, i have just a couple of little marks that id like to touch up but the wheels aren't black as such, anyone got any idea what the colour would be or the colour id need? Cheers people ;-)

I'm definitely thinking about changing the colour of my IS200... I'll probably go for a Matt colour but what would people go for? I was thinking of Matt black or white... But I keep thinking of Orange, proper change it up... Any ideas or suggestions welcome ;)

Yeah I've been watching dip your car videos all day.. They look really good, I've seen them jet washing the plastic dip and all that... I've seen them doing Audi R8, M3, S5 etc... They look wicked.. I'm going to see the fella tomorrow and look at his car which he's done.

Thats what i thought.. I know someone that does it and for £400 i could have the car done in Matt black or White etc... May be something i look into... Ive seen videos online saying it is durable and wears really well but i never feel convinced, id get it done and 2 weeks later it would all peel off lol

Not everyone will cut the blanks for the car.. I got a blank from EBay and took it to my local Timpsons which is inside a Tesco store, he said he couldn't guarantee the blade as they didn't supply it but he still cut it and he even opened it and changed over the transponder, easy to do unless the previous owner had filled it up with super glue as in my case ;) It cost £7 to do this.. Bargain.

just a quick question on Plasti Dip... Has anyone here ever used, seen or had a Plasti Dip on a car? It looks like a good way to completely change the colour of the IS200 but obviously it's not something I've seen before.

Cheers people... I'll leave it from now and overnight and test it in the morning. If it won't start then I'll get a new battery.. Any recommendations on batteries or are they all much of a muchness?

Been jumped now and took her for a spin, seems to be starting ok... Just out of curiosity, yesterday morning I sat in the car with everything on because it was frozen over, then drove home which is literally round the corner, then the car sat all day and night, could that have drained it and caused it not to start today?

So I go to start the car today and I just get a rapid clicking noise... If I just turn ignition on, the dash comes on and the battery metre reads as normal but as soon as I attempt to start the engine it just gives me a rapid clicking noise. Is the battery dead... I haven't got jump leads so I'll have to wait for someone to give that a go later.

What would a set be worth in really good condition, with Tyres and obviously not bent...

Thats the one, mine had been stamped all the way up until the current mileage and mainly by a Lexus dealer... the car doesnt miss a beat, probably the best purchase ive ever made ;-)

Definitely try and get a full service history... I went for a FSH and ive had mine for 18 months now and i've literally replaced nothing, just an MOT and service. mine cost £1350 so i'm well happy with that ;-)

My car is not black but i love the colour and wheel combo.. these wheels are tidy ;-)

I think ive got all that info in my Lexus folder inside my glove box, its even got the original card from the salesman that sold it etc...

Yeah the fella did say to me that he cant guarantee it as its not a blade that they supplied but he was happy to cut it for me...

I had a blank cut in timpson only 2 weeks ago.. My local one is in a tesco store, he cut it whilst I shopped and even transfered the insides over... Worked a treat first time, cost £7..

I have mate... Cheers for your help. Went to Halfords, bukb was £2.99 and as it was raining and freezing I gave them £3 to put it in for me as well, while I sat in the car ;-)
