  2. I think they look really good... i do also think the Aero's look bigger though. I do like black alloys so i've just got 18" black Aero's, two birds one stone ;-)
  3. I'm not sure if I should try and install it permanently in the dash which would require wiring etc or to set it below the current single din Sony head unit... This may be what I do as the head unit is Bluetooth so I can use A2DP for the music and also Sat Nav as well...
  4. Just thought id put a couple fresh pictures up after she was cleaned yesterday.... Im thinking of trying to install a Nexus 7 tablet to use as Sat-Nav and music etc... Any thoughts?
  5. Yeah the current reception from my stereo isn't great, it's ok but definitely not great... That would be the reason then...
  6. When I bought my IS200 it already had an aftermarket single Din Sony stereo in it because the original had died I imagine, it sounds really good.. Would that mean the Amp has already been bypassed? I've come across this Milion G2223 which has a detachable front, GPS, Bluetooth and everything else... I'm thinking of getting it... Can anyone tell me if it would be an easy fit? Or if for about the same price can recommend anything better? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0076VY2AA Advice appreciated ;)
  7. I'm looking at getting a touch screen for my Lexus and have come across a few on EBay... Just wondered if anyone thinks this is any good or has any experience of them? I know you can pay silly money or similar things but this has everything I want.. http://r.ebay.com/HMEwiZ Any advice welcome ;)
  8. It's amazing to think I paid £1,400 for my IS200, 2001 with FSH and it drives so well, everything just works and it looks amazing!! A very happy owner ;)
  9. That is one tidy Pug.... Although ill stick to my Lexus ;-)
  10. Ok... So I had the Lexus cleaned yesterday at my local hand wash, there were about 15 staff there and they did a really good job to be honest... They used a power washer and a few different detergents, they used the wash mits not sponges, microfibre cloths and dried it with a chamois, they cleaned all the glass so it's sparkling, even opened the doors and boot to clean the seals and stuff, cleaned the wheels and have them a little shine... I feel like I robbed them for £6... ;)
  11. 7-8 hours.... my patience would wear thin after 20 mins, its not my thing really.... The one near me is a fairly big one, always see Bmw, mercs etc there.... They have running water, power washers, they use mits and chammy's too...
  12. Thats the thing... part of me wants to and the other part is thinking i should do it myself... ill have a sleepless night tonight thinking about it ha ha.
  13. Im lazy... I was looking at the greased lightning product Rob, it does look like it works but it still involves me doing stuff lol... I may take it to the local car wash place in the morning, see how well they do it... they did a friends car and it looked really good, £6 as well ;-)
  14. The Lexus needs a good clean and im going to do it tomorrow i think but i wanted to ask how everyone cleans their car.... Im thinking of taking it to the local or not so local people that jet spray it, clean and do the inside for a tenner.... Ive never been to them before, or i was thinking of doing it myself... what are the best products to use? Its a litle awkward because i live in a flat so don't have access to a hose or anything.... I keep seeing the waterless cleaning products but not sure on them Any advice welcome ;-)
  15. Thanks people.. Much appreciated on the advice front ;)
  16. Do you mean Lexus would charge a hell of a lot more? Well its being done tomorrow and hopefully it will all go to plan...
  17. Yeah i just asked him to show me and he pointed to the place and wiped and there was oil there... Im kind of thinking he;s being honest. im sure Lexus would charge a lot more for the same job ;-)
  18. The patch on the floor is black from the oil that has leaked out... it is the same mechanic yes, he has done other jobs for me and he has done them well... its because i know nothing about cars im never too sure if its correct, but i can see for myself there is oil on the ground. Power steering fluid looks fine,
  19. Yeah he did say to me he had to take the belts etc off, he said he can do it including the seal and labour for £50... I might just get him to do it then... there is definitely oil where my car was sitting.
  20. My neighbour who is a mechanic has just had a look... he has in the past done things that were not needed in my opinion but im not a mechanic.... he has just said its the Crankshaft oil seal, said he could do it for £50 including the part.... Im not sure i want to let him loose on my Lexus though... does that sound plausible?
  21. Any advice... just went out to the car and there seems to be a patch near the front drivers side wheel... i touched it and it seemed like oil, but its clear and transparent.... Wondering if its from my car and what it could be, opened the bonnet and i cant see anything obvious, checked the oil and water etc they all seem fine? Any ideas?
  22. Just wondering, once I do the service and change everything should I notice a difference in performance or even just the car running better?
  23. The filters are all Crosland, the spark plugs are NGK and the oil is Valvoline fully synthetic 5w30 oil.... Is Valvoline any good?
  24. Yeah the spark plugs are £9 each but you get a good discount once you put it all together... The filters are from crosland, miyako and hengst... I have no idea if any of those are any good, what do you think? What difference does changing the pollen filter make... Excuse my ignorance ;)
  25. I'm going to be servicing my IS200 this weekend and getting the parts this week. On Eurocarparts they have a 25% discount so I can get an air filter, oil filter, fully synthetic oil and NGK spark plugs for £80 delivered. Do you guys think that's a decent price for those parts? Also, is there any reason why those spark plugs are highly recommended over others that are cheaper? Thanks people....
