  1. It wont be home fitted I have a little deal going on with someone !!! All to be revealed at a later date but it will be fitted and approved and done properly And with my knowledge on the subject I have chosen what I believe to be the most reliable kit I can put together. Straight from Poland (Diego G3 KME) with Italian injectors (Matrix)
  2. A few pics of my LPG Kit before I fit it ECU- Nice and small sure I can hide that out of sight Injectors- IMO these are the best on the market- they have no rubber seals inside, only brass flaps therefore there is nothing to break down. Again, Nice and compact with definately fit under that cover. Heated plates for the injectors. These are not needed at all however I thought that I would just buy a set to try out to see if it helps with efficiency Directional nozzles- Again not needed however I feel it will help with efficiency Reducer- More than enough to power a 4ltr engine Last but not least the switch- I don't like the blue light when it is on gas it can be a bit off-putting. It's a good job that it can be changed to a green LED in the software for the ECU Can't wait to get it all in and working !!!! To Be Continued .....................................
  3. Girlfriends mum is staying for the week. But will upload a few photos when I have a bit of time http://www.aliexpress.com/item/20PC-Lot-3-5MM-StereoJack-Socket-Audio-Connector-PCB-Mount-Free-Shipping-YP03/787109479.html There is 20 of the correct AUX switches. That is literally how cheap this can be done for Now you wonder how factoryradioservice make their money !!! Clever hey
  4. Fair enough. I didn"t realise that tapping into the CDplayer was pre-amp. That's why I went for the FM signal in it's purest form which is exactly what you did. I understand what you have done now. I am by no means an electronic whizzkid at all. I just got very lucky with this one !!
  5. I see your point about adding a power socket but I have put the aux right next to the vsc and headlamp washer. This means I can put my iPod into the ashtray and plug it straight into the socket in the ashtray As for phono being better quality I can't argue with you as it is. But if you are converting 3.5mm out the top of an iPod to phono then surely the quality will be the same I understand what I have done is quite invasive and not for the faint hearted but it removes the need for a blank CD on repeat
  6. I will upload instructions when I get time to sit down and do it. A little bid fiddly and the only hairy bit that I know people may not like is the point where you have to use a blade to cut the tracks on the PCB Apart from that it is all straight forward. Bit of solder and a bit of hot melt glue and you're sorted !!! All in all it cost me a days messing around (I had to figure it all out) And £1.79 for the AUX plug This could be done probably within 2 hours from start to finish Cheaper than the CD changer hack, neater and better sound quality. To explain it very simply, I bypass the signal almost just after it has come out of the sky !!! This is how factoryradioservices do it in USA
  7. I now have AUX in my car I have interupted the FM signal coming from the tuner and replaced it with my own AUX signal It works a treat Simple 5 pin AUX jack and a short length of wire http://www.maplin.co.uk/pcb-mounted-3.5mm-stereo-socket-1196 No need for relays, no need for CD changer just put your radio onto FM you will hear your radio station and then plug in your AUX cable and it will turn off and onto your IPOD or MP3 player Sound quality perfect, No hiss
  8. EDIT: After reading this http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=547118 I am 99% confident it will work No more modulators, transmitters or blank discs !!!!! Only dilema I have is where to but the AUX jack. Do I put it on the face of the stereo or do I hide it ??
  9. I think I have sussed it Firstly Here is the FULL service manual http://elektrotanya.com/pioneer_lexus_ls400_kex-m9376_m9276-crt2064-.pdf/download.html free to download Next: I know very little about this sort of electronics but from reading numerous posts what you have to do is to interupt the L and R signal from the tuner. As the signal is still in its raw form it has not been through the volume controll or the EQ or anywhere else yet It is purely just a signal in a copper wire It took me a good hour of looking at the board to finally find it Simply just intercept the signal from the tuner and hey presto No need for blank CD or anything just leave the radio how it is and then just plug in with your AUX and it will automatically switch off and divert the signal to your external music device as I have bought a switchable aux plug from maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/pcb-mounted-3.5mm-stereo-socket-1196 No relays needed just 5 short lengths of wire and that plug HOPEFULLY !!!! I will be attempting this in the morning so I will update as the day goes on but I am fairly confident that this will work
  10. I have found this http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-second-generation/657533-diy-simple-easy-no-fuss-aux-input-for-factory-headunit.html This looks VERY interesting however has anyone got the schematics for the mk4 ls400 with Nav. I know an electronics whizzkid who may be able to sort this for me. If I have the schematics it will be a lot easier
  11. WOW I have never seen that in the last 10 years of being involved with LPG cars. Must be really new. I personally don't like it but as long as it doesn't blow off and squirt liquid gas all under the bonnet then I suppose its ok. At best I would expect to see this This is as far as I am aware is the industry standard
  12. Maybe they do work then and I'm just being impatient. I felt some heat but I thought that it was just the heat off my body warming the seats up Dads P reg landcruiser is brilliant. Thought this would be similar Still love the car though
  13. Hahaha The way to do it so you don't have the pipe going through the inside of the car like that would be, if you dont mind having a filler so low down is to put it into the bumper. However the only way to do it is to drill through a vent underneath the boot floor Namely this one http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_199801_LEXUS_LS400_UCF20R-AEAGKW_6102.html And you would never know the difference :P
  14. Just say that you were wondering what it is for thats all. Getting it independantly inspected may ruffle a few feathers What you will get will be an answer something like this "people on forums don't know what they are talking about" If you can find both ends to that pipe that goes to that solenoid I will tell you what it is for I have had plently of gas cars and have plently of experience in LPG systems to tell you visually if it is safe or not
  15. It should be on the end of the vaporiser with a copper or high pressure plastic gas pipe going into it with screw thread joints However it may be the shut-off for the valve lube and perfectly innocent
  16. Its location is not the problem. The problem is that it is held on by small clips that can easily blow off at pressures over 2bar If this is the case then I would NOT drive the car at all and keep away from it. However it could be totally inocent and its the solenoid for the flashlube to only inject it whilst on gas. If this is the case then that is perfectly fine.
