  1. Haha I was more concerned about the 65mph in the middle lane. Aren't these cars built for tootling along at 58mph in the inside lane :-P
  2. LS400 cruising along at 65mph on the M53 in the middle lane S reg silver Brake drivers side brake light out Passenger side side light out
  3. Prins have made a direct injection system. I do not know how reliable it is Another way around it is to buy a LS460 from UAE as these are the same car but with the 1URFE not the 1URFSE This is normal injection not direct injection However they are all LHD If I lived on the continent then I would DEFINATELY look into this, however, I dont !! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_UR_engine#1UR-FE
  4. It is just going to be out of tune slightly thats all If you are to get hold of an EOBD scanner that will plug into it and look at your fuel trims they should be at 0% fluctuating as close as posible to that
  5. Mine shows 2200rpm at 70mph However if I plug the computer into it to check the RPM and drive at GPS 70mph I am sure it would be closer to 2000rpm
  6. Here here !!! When I said I use China for every strut I need I meant bonnet boots doors kitchen cabinets them sort Not the sort that goes in the centre of suspension springs, I would never do that. I have had a set of struts from the same supplier in China on the doors on my Toyota Sera for over a year and in daily use and they are still as good as the day they were fitted
  7. The supplier I use in China I use for every strut I need as I have a Toyota Sera with gullwing doors too and needed to replace the door struts Anyway I specify on all of my struts that I want removable ends as the ends that screw onto the body of the car are fixed to the actual strut. I now have bonnet struts with detatchable ends so that next time I can just unscrew the strut and replace that on its own - kind of like an insert
  8. Ahh you have the MK3 don't you The part number for yours are 53440-59025 so they are different. I do not know if they would fit However I will do some digging and try and source a set for you anyway and send over the link
  9. I know this is a total Faux-Pas to put Chinese parts on my quality Lexus however............. I have just fitted my bonnet struts that I got from China and they are absolutely great I am really not messing. Even just one of them held the bonnet up really well whilst I fitted the other one. I am impressed
  10. With it being a (Toyota) and a VVTI it is definately recommended so as a precaution it is better to have it As I have said in the past, for the extra £100 it MAY save you a £3000 repair bill later down the line
  11. Single throw would be fine however there are two channels L and R and if you are to mix them together you would in effect loose the balance in the car and only hear mono. Yes it is much easier to solder a bit further up the track where the next solder point is (its also neater) I am going to try and get the head unit back out over the weekend for some photos and a step by step
  12. Yes sorry I have not had the time to take my head unit back out of my car to take some photos for a step by step Anyway the easiest way to get silence from your radio will be like this: Take the board out of your radio and look for the FM tuner There will be FML and FMR basically cut through the tracks for these 2 on the board for silence Don't forget to solder to either side of the inscision that you make with pieces of wire and re-route through a DPDT switch so that as you switch your signal off you can then plug into your AUX points you have found on the board Someone on the forum might be a bit more switched on than I am and may know how to get it to do it all automatically but unfortunately I don't know how to do this If you want to upload a few detailed photos of the PCB and the make and model of it maybe I can take a look at the board for you
  13. Yes when I bought the kit it slipped my mind to get the Valve Lube Kit I will be putting it in soon though
  14. When you plug into it with the diagnostics machine what codes come out. Might be able to help you. Sounds like your LPG installer is struggling a little Also what LPG system is on the car ??
  15. Where are you based and who is your local LPG garage. I might be able to sort something out for you if you want
  16. Yes there is a simple solution. Without wanting to get peoples backs up the simple answer is get your car tuned correctly If the MIL light comes on it is for a problem No matter what anyone tells you this is the only correct answer Normally it will throw up fault codes like system too lean or system too rich My most favourite excuse was "the cars computer system cannot comprehend why it is running yet not using any fuel so it thinks thee is a fault so puts a light on" this is the biggest load of plums ever. It's simple just get the car done properly and you will have none or very little problems. Not recommending anyone in particular as there are plenty of good installers out there. Just make sure you get one of the good ones
  17. I did that the other day Just jumped in and went for a drive. It's lovely to drive Girlfriend likes it cos its comfy however hates it because it is boring !!!
  18. Hahaha I know someone who parked in a disabled space once and got a load of abuse from a member of the public Well I say member of the public.................... tracksuit bottoms, smelling of smoke can of beer in one hand and giro in the other shouting "what's your disability" They just said back "I don't have a disability, I work for a living instead" Now in normal cases I wouldn't agree with that however I think this particular person who said it had it coming to them. Anyway my rant over There is a joke that is floating around that goes like this: I parked in a disabled space today and a traffic warden shouted, "Oi, what's your disability?" I said, "Tourettes! Now f**k off !" Finished now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (please don't shoot me down)
  19. Last words from that video is "it seems to do the job" It'll do for me If I wanted to open up a diagnostics shop and charge £150 a go to plug into cars then I clearly wouldn't be using this but it is for my own use so I don't see the problem really
  20. Ok then what is the price for timing belt kit water pump fan belt and antifreeze Just wanna see what the going rate is out there ??
  21. I got a full SKF kit with both pulleys The only thing not in the kit was 13540-50011 which is the tube shaped tensioner Also I have fitted a circoli waterpump which is aftermarket and NOT built to OEM specs as to be built to OEM spec the new waterpump would have plastic impellers. The circolli waterpump has metal impellers. Also it comes with SKF bearings inside the water pump (allegedly)
  22. I will update when it arrives Hopefully it is all ok If it is a pain to set up maybe thats all it is with yours. But we will find out when it arrives
  23. Is that just labour or including parts ? Sounds a bit cheap as the parts alone are about £250 Well that was timing belt kit water pump fan belt and antifreeze
  24. Just a thought................... What is the going rate of doing a timing belt on LS400 ????? What are people paying for the work ??
