  1. Just refurb them http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=918808 or http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=72765 Just don't do them in an idiotic colour !!!!
  2. I was lucky with mine. When I bought it it had brand new pirellis all round and 17inch DHP alloys They are not perfect and there is one centre cap missing but I am sure I will stumble across one soon But nice wheels really do finish off the car
  3. My car seems to have developed a misfire Got a feeling its a coil Part number for LS400 coil is 90919-02228 Part number for LS430 coil is 90919-02230 The only difference I can see is that the plug is angled upwards on the 430 coil Are they both the same coil as they are available aftermarket from motorfactors not just Lexus like the LS400 coilpacks are Has anyone had this before and had the same thought ??
  4. Think I will buy these next !!!! http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lexus-Remote-Key-Shell-3-Button-TOY48-short-5pcs-lot/1154167652.html
  5. I didn't know which ones to get as there were long ones and short ones. I should have got a mixture of them to be sure. Oh well. I am sure I will get it sorted out The keys I need are 37mm blade. The ones I have bought are 42mm It was only £10 so it wasn't an expensive mistake !!
  6. Also according to Toyodiy.com the spark plug number for a UK spec LS400 95 is Denso PK20R8 http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/DENSO_PN/PK20R8 Be very careful about putting the wrong plugs in your car as it can cause serious damage to electrical items The correct NGK plugs for 95 LS400 are BKR6EP-8
  7. To be honest I ordered them up on 17th Oct and they got here 2 days ago I wasn't expecting them for another month either !! They are the wrong ones though as the key blade is a bit too long I don't know if they can be cut down. But I am gonna find out !!
  8. Blueprint ADT31651 Bosch 0 986 357 204 Bremi 500/108 IPS ISP-8254 Janmor JP212 NGK 44272 NPS T580A51 How many more part numbers do you need :P Sorry I work for Eurocarparts so I am just showing off now haha If you want their part number it is 40982557J http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Lexus_LS_4.0_1995/p/car-parts/engine-parts/ignition1/ignition-lead/?40982557J&1&86b850ad49e19442a8bce4bbe293a1117b7280b4&000198
  9. I am now the proud owner of a brand new key Well i suppose its actually 10 !!!! http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lexus-remote-key-shell-3-button-TOY48-long-free-shipping-by-hkp-10pcs-lot/341879895.html I bought a bulk load of these And being an eejit I have bought the key that is a tad too long (about 6mm) I will have to get it cut down and then re-cut However I am impressed with the quality of them for the price and they actually have a Lexus badge on it too Better than the £MILLION that lexus want for one !!!!
  10. Think I have found it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS400-4-0-VVTi-V8-UCF20-1998-2000-STARTER-MOTOR-SOLENOID-REPAIR-KIT-/251257586415?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a801e82ef
  11. Does anyone have a link for the kit to re-con it as I am planning a Eurotrip at Christmas and I can't get stranded for longer than a few days without my car I was just going to buy the kit to keep in the boot as a just-incase. Just to save on the time it will be laid up if and when this happens.
  12. I used Canbus LED's on my old Ls400, the error message still flagged up, the bulbs worked and showed no error in a lesser car, just shows the Ls will pick up even the smallest of change. I stuck a normal replacement bulb in after that and they worked as good as new. In this case what you would do is measure the resistance on the LED bulb and measure the resistance on the normal bulb and put a resistor inline to take up the difference. Just a little way to cheat the computer (basically what the canbus lights do)
  13. Ahhh but all of that is aftermarket stuff. I like to keep mine looking totally standard with just a little plug here or there difference. So it doesn't look out of place at all Does anyone have the service manuals for the nav unit I have also noticed tha there is a load of pins on the back of the nav unit with no plug going to it. I wonder if the actual screen has the capabilities for the tv and it's just the tape deck that controls what it shows
  14. It wasn't the tv that I was mainly focused on. It was the interception of the signal for a possible reversing camera
  15. After sucessfully completing an AUX hack I now want to do a video hack After looking into this a little bit I would need the service manuals for the Nav unit Also whilst looking into it I stumbled across this part number 86111-50040 as opposed to 86111-50060 The 86111-50040 was built specifically for the Celsior and if you look closely here it has analogue TV http://gooparts.com/shop/s4201550/p4201550D60001543225.html With this TV button it would be so easy to manipulate the signals coming from there the same way I managed to do the AUX hack with FM radio Was anyone aware of this and are they readily available to install into the UK spec LS400 ?
  16. Found it http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/76426-another-lpg-question/page-5 Very neat indeed Looks great. Hope mine is just as good
  17. Who converted them for you ?? Do you have any pictures of them ??
  18. I don't know much about Prins I tend to stick to what I know or what I feel will be suitable As we can see here this is the vaporiser that I have chosen http://www.lpgshop.co.uk/lpg-autogas-kme-gold-reducer/ It is rated upto 320bhp unlike the more common OMVL DREAM only rated to 280bhp if the correct one is fitted as the other one is ony 140bhp http://www.lpgshop.co.uk/lpg-omvl-dream-xxi-g-sp-147hp-reducer/ http://www.lpgshop.co.uk/lpg-omvl-dream-xxi-g-hp-280hp-reducer/ I understand that NO-ONE will be driving with their foot to the floor all the time but at least it is nice to know that I won't run out of steam if I do ! Anyway this time in 2 weeks and it should be done Can't wait at all !!!!
  19. Hopefully mine will be when I get it done over the next few weeks !! Do you know if it will qualify with a hidden filler inside the filler cap It's the one that needs an adaptor ??
  20. Ahhhh yeah. That is the bulb warning that comes up when the bulbs are potentially blown. When using LEDs there is less resistance so the error would flash up on the dash Better leave well alone !!
  21. They are only high beam. That's all so when I'm driving with no-one around anyway I'm guessing they are hb3 bulbs then ??
  22. Well it's expensive. You go out and try and buy an LPG kit. It can be quite difficult unless you know where to go. You can not just go straight to Prins and ask to buy one. If you want a customised one like me you need to either know a company and persuade them to sell it or pay through your nose for it eBay is just not the sort of place to be buying this This isn't a cheap standard Stag system with Valtek injectors. It's totally customised to what I want Not that there is anything wrong with Stag it's just not my choice not to use it as I find the ECU too bulky the injectors less reliable and the reducer not as powerful as it needs to be. However the software for Stag is very adaptable and is very good. You can put almost any injectors with that system and they will work. In the market Polish is, in my opinion, the leaders. This is because the software in any of their systems is so adaptable to suit the car that you are converting. I like KME because I have used it before and I find it a bit more compact and build quality is a bit better But each to theIr own that's why there is a free market out there
  23. Does anyone know what the high beam lights are H1 or what ?? I am looking to upgrade them to something similar to these http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-pair-lot-Ultra-bright-H7-1800LM-25W-CREE-LED-CXA1512-chips-COB-6000K-LED-headlamp/1182911386.html I just don't know the make of the bulb Any help would be great ??
  24. If I was you there is a very interesting post on moneysavingexpert about MOTs and garages failing trying to drum up more business. The council offer MOT for their own vehicles and won't refuse to test a normal vehicle. There is no gain to them failing your car on more than it needs. It may just be worth paying another £50 to get a second MOT test
