  1. That's all a bit harsh. It's not his fault that they threw it in. However they took 4 days to do it but spent a day taking a manifold off that I suppose didn't need to be done Hope it runs ok
  2. I don't mind the filler cap. It's convenient. Just give me 3 weeks to get mine sorted and we can compare pics :-P
  3. I second that too. People are too quick to get your money these days It takes longer to throw it in messy than to do it right first time too That is not too bad. It's all in there isn't it Here is my constructive comment of the day "It's not messy. It's just busy"
  4. Any ideas I have no idea where to start or where the wires are for them. Can someone possibly help me out with this one as I like to be toasty when I am driving. For starters when I press the buttons to switch them on they light up green. Hope this helps !!!! Thanks in advance
  5. I was reading up on t'internet about the AUX Hack and the most promising post I have come across is this one http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400/678054-95-ls400-nakamichi-aux-in.html Is there anything like these test points in the Nav unit if so could someone please upload some photos as to their whereabouts as I would love this as an extra but dont quite fancy losing the use of the CD changer Thanks in advance peeps
  6. Does anyone know what OBD tester will work for a MK4 Lexus I havve tried 2 so far and none of them work. Are there any cheap ones like ELM327 that will work or is it going to have to be a Bosch KTS or Snap On
  7. This is brilliant news. I was worried that someone had taken out the bulb. Does anyone know the location of the bulb on the clocks please
  8. Does anyone know what other indicator stalks fit the LS400 MK4 I have been driving an import for the last 3 years and I quite like the indicators being on the other side. I travel a lot to Europe and was wondering if a LHD LS400 is the same as the Jap import or the same as UK spec Any help would be great Thanks
  9. I noticed that too Does anyone have a picture of the location of the engine management light on a MK4 When I bought mine I was worried that someone may have taken the bulb out Mine doesn't come one when the ignition is switched on either
  10. Thats why LPG systems are designed around the car not the other way around If you put the wrong plugs in your car then who knows what trouble it will have After all the car will start up on petrol I know someone who put the wrong plugs into his car and it blew a channel on the ECU leaving one injector permanently misfiring The plugs in an LS400 are originally iridium anyway. Part number 90919-01166 or K20R-U original Part number 90919-01210 or SK20R11 Iridium Courtesy of Toyodiy Just put standard plugs in it and replace them at 50000 instead of 60000 and they should be fine
  11. I think you are more likely to get 90 litres in & 450 miles unless you drive like miss daisy. I had a flash lube on my last one when it ran out I never refilled it 60k later no probs & I didn't go for a flashlube on this one as the ls 400 lump doesn't need it. Looking forward to the pics & good luck with your new toy. That counts as 22mpg Is this on a run or around town Mark On the way home last night is was showing somewhere between 20-25 around town and 35-42 on the motorway with cruise control on at 75mph
  12. Allegedly it doesn't need flashlube. I will make my mind up closer to the time though Can't wait. With that size of tank I should be able to get 100L into it and that should do 650 miles on a run !!! At a cost of roughly £70
  13. I am getting it professionally installed but there will be loads of photos to be taken
  14. I will take some photos when its all shiny. I don't have any pics of it at the moment As for the gas system it will be a solid tank without the polo hole I don't see a point in the hole as it is wasted space http://www.lpgshop.co.uk/680-300-108l-0deg-external-tank-multivalve/ There is the tank with the valve. http://www.gasit.co.uk/images/source/matrix_2.jpg Here is the injectors http://www.fahrzeugteile-vogler.de/WebRoot/Store19/Shops/63272790/4EA8/572A/AF0F/0200/0066/C0A8/29BA/2842/KME_DIEGO_G3_6Zyl.Magic_Gold.jpg Here is the rest of the kit, ignore the magicjet injectors in this picture - they are good - but not as good as matrix As you can see the size of the ECU this will all be well hidden as it is all nice and compact not just thrown in Well maybe thrown in .................... but with a bit of care :P Can't wait !!!!
  15. No it doesn't But it will have in about a months time !!!! I will be sure to upload before and after pictures I will be opting for the bigger 680x300 0deg torodial tank. It is 108L The KME diego3 front end with Matrix injectors Reason for that is that KME has very little faults and the Matrix injectors are italian and do not have rubber o-rings inside They have brass flaps so the rubber doesn't wear out because it is not there to begin with, therefore lasting so much longer (And they are smaller so they will fit neatly under the covers)
  16. Bearing in mind the mileage and the faults that it has I paid £800 for it It needs a drivers side spring A set of plugs, maybe one or 2 coils too A passenger side wheel bearing And last but not least The boot seals doing Apart from that its lovely and comfy and listening to Donna Summer I Feel Love the car was boucing. Perfect song to test the speakers - all present and correct !!!! And the aerial works too !!!
  17. Iridium is standard in LS400 SK20R11 NGK K20R-U Denso Just keep it standard and it should be ok LPG plugs are a Myth If they have a higher heat rating because they are "LPG plugs" thats just balls NGK overall have a higher heat tolerance than Bosch so thats another reason to not use Bosch :P
  18. I now own a lovely MK4 in silver Grey interior 253000 miles on the clock All the toys work inside Almost FULL service history Timing belt changed in 2011 At a steady 70mph with cruise control the trip computer was showing an average between 35-42mpg Needs a few things doing to it but can count it all on 1 hand Nothing serious Will be on the road within the next month Oh .................... P.S 17inch DHP alloys too with brand new PIRELLI tyres all round and same spare wheel !!!!!
  19. Nice and neat. Omvl vaporiser and omvl injectors It's good that you have a lifetime warranty cos those injectors have rubber seals in and tend to break down Not a problem if it's under warranty though so don't worry about it Hope it runs smooth for you It's much better than the recent work we have seen I'm impressed !!!
  20. Yes I didn't upload that photo of the tank As far as I am aware the tank must have no less than 250mm clearance from the floor If, however, this is not possible then there must be a skid pan fitted to the tank This would make the tank even lower - it's stupid in my opinion - but they are the rules As dodgy as it might look it actually passes the regulations As for my comment about things put in view, there is nothing wrong with this, soome people like to see what they're paying for. Personally I don't like that and like everything hidden, however their jobs are neat. Hope it runs ok for you
  21. Can we see some photos of under the bonnet so we can compare to marks ?? Thanks
  22. to be fair I have just seen a few photos of their conversions and they look reasonably neat Everything in their conversions are on show so not much thought on where it is put but it is quite neat Be interesting to see how they do a LS400 http://www.lpg-car-conversion-london.co.uk/ https://plus.google.com/photos/105908154940574280304/albums/5459168952426261249?banner=pwa
  23. Maybe you could talk to him about the Mk 4 and how to solder in a video aux so you could watch tv on it ???
