  1. Id like Lexus to work on my car due to warranty BUT id happliy buy the parts to save £££ Do you know the lexus price for pads and discs so i can see how much cheaper it is to supply myself?
  2. Almost 1700 for discs and pads all around!!! Howe much of that can be saved by buying the parts independently?
  3. UPDATE: Voting has ended so 16th it is. Will say 11:30 if that works for people. I believe folks said second floor near the cinema in the corner. -------------------------- Looking to do a meet in feb at bluewater for those who are interested. Dates to consider are 1st, 9th or 16th. No idea how we ensure we all end up in the same place as I don't go there often to suggestions welcome! Looking forward to meeting some of you. Stu
  4. From what I have read it is mainly down to aesthetics. None will really give any bhp gain. Water won't get near it and heat soak certainly won't be an issue. Just go with the one you prefer the look of. I believe they slightly different sounds. Stu
  5. Wouldn't touch that with a barge pole! If someone is willing to do that to it who knows what else has/hasn't been done. Also, that kit could be hiding a multitude of issues with poor workmanship/rust etc. Etc
  6. Reviews seem to point towards the takeda due to it being a closed intake and all the others are open. Stu
  7. I'll definitely try and get the price down. Assume using other dealer prices is the best way??? Share your wisdom!
  8. How did you haggle that down??? Thought it cost what it cost?
  9. Depends. Personally I use main dealers. Helps the car maintain better saleability. What are the servicing intervals in the manual?
  10. I got a good deal on mine knowing I would need to referb all 4 wheels. Driver side bolster has minor wear on mine and I'm having this rectified. Also having passenger side tarted up and centre armrest. Only costs 200 and will look almost new when done. If you can get a good price then go for it but if you are not happy to get the issues sorted then walk away fella. Others will come up. Stu
  11. 600 seems cheap. My dealer looks after quite a few and are charging just under £1000.
  12. Looks like a lovely car. Not entirely sure about the grille but the rest of the car looks epic. They need to reduce the kerb weight. Tyres are massive! Interior looks amazing. Power supposed to be 450bhp plus which is amazing. I need more doors so I won't be getting one but can't wait to see it in comparison reviews with bmw and Mercedes. Stu
  13. I got mine from evil bay. Great communication from the seller. Seller is called 'shopspeedhouse'. Stu
  14. 900 odd for that service. Don't use aftermarket stuff if you want it to be sellable unless their is evidence it is as good as if not better than stock parts. I would only buy one that has been maintained properly. Also it is less likely to perform as well. Ultimately it's an expensive car to run. Maybe call a dealer for full list lf service items? Stu
  15. Can't :( intake is coming on Wednesday. Car is already in for exhaust.
  16. This is exactly why I think the current owners won't like it and the issue will then be the market they seem to be shooting for will buy an m3, s4, isf etc Also the market it seems to be targeting just won't like it IMO as it will never shake the 'chav' image.
  17. My intake is finally in the uk awaiting collection. For those interested, import duty was £38.94. Stu
  18. Can't wait fella. They recently worked on a e-type built for racing (1 of 5 made) insured for 5 million!
  19. Dropped off the car today. It is going to be a long week until I collect it next Saturday! They will take before and after pics :) I also did a cold start up and in cabin clip so folks on here can see the difference. Stu
  20. Some interesting and different stuff so far. Mark- nothing wrong with supporting teams outside the prem. actually quite nice to meet people who do!
  21. I know if people looking for cars who wouldn't buy a lexus because it is jap.
  22. German cars. People over here have a perception that vag cars are superior in every way. When you look at a lexus and the cost is equal to a merc, bmw, audi etc people don't see why they should buy a lexus Most motorists don't research cars the way we do. Stu
  23. Going with as close to stock colour as possible. Thought they were black??? Prob cost 1000-1500 squids to get the car immaculate inside and out. Want to keep it stock as possible :) Will let folks know how I get on. Stu
