    I have the 2013/14 version and it still has the I agree at the start. Haven't tried resetting anything yet though, also haven't tried changing destination on the move as I keep forgetting! I'll try my best to remember in the morning!

    I've been in contact with one eBay seller and he says the cable and software he is selling works on windows 7 but only the 32bit version. I've ordered it but could take some time as I think it was from China

    Win7 64, everything I've read so far says that it only works on 32bit computers. Which cable and software version are you using Rudy? I'm looking to buy it pretty soon to sort my key issue

    Thanks for the reply. I've found the new version but there are mixed writes ups about the OS. I'll have to gave a proper look into it!

    I've ordered some cleaner and oil so I'll see what it's like after that as I think it's long overdue a clean, maybe that's why is loud.

    I have a K&N on my is220d, it was on the car when i bought it. I have never had a K&N on any of my diesel cars before but always have on my petrol cars. I have a slight drone on light acceleration, does anyone else get this with a K&N or could it be something else (flywheel maybe?) I'm tempted to by a paper filter to see if it solves the problem.

    What OS are you using on your computer Rudy? I only have access to a windows 7 laptop and i think all software runs on XP only?

    Thanks for the reply Wozza. I've had a quick look on ebay but i'm not sure which one to go for. Also the ones I've looked at seem to work on Windows XP only, the only laptop i have access to has Windows 7....

    Hi, I have a problem with the spare key on my is220d. When I bought the car the battery was dead on the spare, now I have just got round to changing it the car does not recognise the key. Is there any way to sync the fob to the car? I know a new key would be a job for the dealer but not sure for a key which should already be linked to the car?

    That's great to here, I've read some very good reviews about Wynns DPF cleaner. I'm wondering if its work putting one in the tank every now and then as more of a prevention??

    There is a good explanation here mate: http://www.car4play.com/forum/post/index.htm?t=9436 If the led is not compatible with canbus your car will throw up faults. As far as I know the is220d doesn't use canbus, I've only put LEDs in my wing mirrors so far and they have caused no problems

    So I filled up today and found I got 36.1mpg from thus tank, 3.5mpg more than last time. This could be due to the additive, so e longer runs, cleaning the egr or more likely a combination of the 3, either way I'm happy it improved. The additive shouldn't really show improvements to mpg until after a few tanks so fingers crossed it will continue to improve. It has been very cold here too which hasn't helped the mpg. Also I think I need to reset the ecu properly. The readout on the dash shows 8.7 litres/100km which Is nowhere near 36mpg!

    If it does good for the fuel system I'm happy. I saw on 5th gear they bought an old car and put it on the rolling road, found it was down 30bhp from the factory, they used redex fuel system cleaner and got something like 17bhp back! The rest they got back through servicing iirc

    I would like to know this too, I've used it quite a lot on other cars as a prevention. Doesn't seem to give more mpg or power but I've never had any problems. My Golf seems to run smoother and start easier on redex.

    You have one in the boot too? On the IS there is only one battery. I'm sure it will be just the one under the bonnet mate

    No just follow the guide. Don't forget to do your drives window too. I didn't do it, the window will still work but won't "auto" close or open

    Theyvarw more expensive than bog standard bulbs but not too bad. I think I got mine off eBay, can get them from eurocarparts too. Cheaper than a hid kit too

    Osram night breaker bulbs are very good' I use them on my Golf and they make a massive improvement over normal bulbs, I think they do a night breaker plus now too (or something like that)
