  1. i know a lot of people aren't fans of kwikfit but i havent had

any issues with them using the hunter hawkeye system and

our cars always track true, kwikfit have a geocare plan you can buy

its circa £120 to have the tracking checked and adjusted

up to 8 times in a 2 yr period without charge which i feel is

excellent value for money, as always it depends on how

competant the person completing the task is,

just make sure the car isnt left in N or your Battery may go flat.

  2. i'd check to see if there is a relay for the horn as it may of started to become faulty

or the clock spring cable thats behind the steering wheel, the CC plugs into the clock spring unit                                                                                                                                                                                         the cable maybe part of the switches.

here is a link for your to try :- https://www.synetiq.co.uk/

  3. if you have the pram take it to a dealership and try it in a boot

its the only way to be certain it will fit, in my opinion i dont think

you will have an issue, i had the same concern when i bought a

Ct back in 2013 and suprisingly it fitted, as i have already said

for peace of mind go and try it

  4. the ventillated seat fans are controlled by the fan speed sliders

the faster the cabin fan the faster the seat fan.

here is a video of the removal of the centre console

fast forward to 4.35 and you will see the back of the heated & ventillated

switch panel  showing the plug and wiring colours.

( the guy forgot to remove the cross head screw by the gear selector)

I,ve  taken out this offer on my 2011 CT last October .I paid £495.

It,s come in handy already as it has had a warranty job done on it.Not bad for a 9 and half year old car with 110K.

i have a GS300h and the warranty for mine is £1095, i cant believe the GS repair costs are that much more.

  6. like you i went from a CT to an IS yes the Mpg is less in the IS

i used to return mid to late 40's mpg quiet a bit less than the CT

but its a bigger, heavier and has a bigger engine so all in all

the return is good, what other petrol car with a 2.5ltr engine

will return that sort of mpg not many i guess.

you will notice a remarkable difference in quietness in the IS

    enjoy your car

  7. i have just done a search at eurocar parts in hampshire

and they seem to have them in stock now

i dont think its an AGm though but it will keep you going until

    your new lexus Battery arrives

the euro carparts lion 063 Battery is £64.99 if it keeps you on the

move then i think its worth the cost ,and once the AGM Battery

is fitted you'll have a spare Battery in case you ever need to jump start

your car or someone else's car

remember you DONT jump start another car from a hybrid car it can

cause damage to the hybrid car.

  8. on our last auris hybrid a 63 plate i used a generic CC stalk and in the

30 months of it being installed before we sold the car it never faulted once.

1 ) when i fitted our CC i turned the steering wheel through 180 degrees

i done this so i didnt have to disconnect the airbag wiring and when it was released

i could lower the airbag down out of the way with the wiring attached.

( you could disconnect the negative off the Battery

wait 20 minutes then remove the airbag and disconnect the airbag wiring )

    2) unclip the CC panel in the steering wheel.

3 ) from the inside of the steering wheel insert the CC stalk and secure with the 2 screws M5 i think.

4 ) route the cable and fit the plug into the socket

5 ) fit the CC cover panel if you have one

6 ) if removed .... refit airbag cables and press the airbag firmly back into the steering wheel

    7 ) re-connect the Battery if disconnected

8 ) press the CC button on the end of the stalk and see the CC light illuminate on the dash

now go for your test drive.

  9. here is a link for the switch you need :-

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cruise-Control-Stalk-Switch-Lever-Part-Number-8463234011/262551655239?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus|Model%3ACT&epid=1379710929&hash=item3d214c5347:g:dbAAAOSwqgFeDj7I

this is link showing the type of cover you need but be aware its not for the ct this is just an example:-

     https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Steering-Wheel-Cruise-Control-Switch-Cover-Fit-For-Toyota-Corolla-RAV4-Lexus/174331136102?epid=580089926&hash=item2896f20866:g:GwwAAOSw4A5Yrqfw

there is also a cover thats needed but not for the install of the CC it is just a finishing cover,

you can modify the cover installed in your car to fit around the switch by drilling a

large hole and glueing a piece of rubber to the back of the cover to stop dirt getting inside

    the steering wheel.

i live in ch49 on the wirral, i know its a good drive for you but the offer for fitting is there

for you if no one nearer can help you.
