your talking about Halfords.... yes you will have to reset a few things
but nothing that you wouldn't have to reset in any other non hybrid car
radio stations ,clock and maybe the one touch windows thats all
so no need to worry
-
when seeing your dealership i would only ask for the window UP
function to be enabled as you can unknowingly lower the windows,
this will more than likely happen on a rainy day so you'll end up
with a wet interior.
when i bought my 1st lexus i was advised against having the down function
enabled.

for my 4 & 7 yr olds i had Isofix car seats and they where the best unclip and then clip in
for my 29yr old well that was a different story back then.

Hi red-lex
i tried this years ago but i found it hard to engage the rachet in the seat belt reel
i did manage to do it a couple of times but it i think it was luck that i managed it,
you are meant to pull the belt out to its limits and then slowly release the belt
and let it roll back in on the rachet.
richard
the method above is used so there isnt any slack in the belt thats holding a non isofix child
seat in a car, so in the event of an emergency stop the rachet thats been engaged
wont let the seat belt unwind and release the car child seat.
it is quite an unknown feature of a seat belt

the last time i bought one it cost about £25.00 for one
-
my 17 plate F Sport used to cost me £480 (2 x 6mths payments)
i now have a Gs300h thats 6 months older
my 1 year road tax for the F sport would pay for 48 yrs of road tax for my Gs
ludicrous isn't it
-
i liked the interior my F Sport had
in particular i liked the A,B,C piller cappings in black and the roof lining

Hi Alex
dont forget with the 69 plate you will still have the remainder of the lexus warranty
and the AA breakdown service for you and anyone else in your household.

in the summer the cold air will stay in the car longer before being exchanged
for a fresh charge of air and help to keep the car really cool
-
it goes to show the dealers will try and get as much as they can for anything they sell
-
maybe contact the company i mentioned as they are always breaking lexus cars
and could probably help you as the interiors will always be unscathed after an accident
(bar airbag related items) so they could have a replacement head unit they can sell you,
they also give a warranty with the parts they sell it maybe 30 days but its definately
long enough to evaluate if the part bought is working correctly.

here is a link for a replacement screen just incase you need another one but its not cheap
- 1
-
to reboot the radio you normally press and hold the power button untill the head unit goes off let go then turn it on,
i dont think they could of programmed the usb's out but its possible they could of left the wiring for the usb
disconnected
-
hi ray
did you get any further with the screen issue
-
for me i do it the same as paul except i use the the recirculation for the following reasons:-
higher fan speed = more airflow to clear windscreen
A/c & Recirc on = dried air inside car is being blown on the windscreen
instead of using outside air that will be damp and
contain more moisture not ideal for de misting
once demisted turn off the recirc
Gulshan you need to try the methods mentioned and see which one you feel works.
each to their own.

i believe it was one of the distribution flap pivot points
that was worn and caused the noise
-
is this the noise you can hear, if it is i had a new ventillation system fitted under warranty

there you go Gan they know there is an issue as they keep draining the exhaust,
in all the years of driving i have never had to drain an exhaust, they need to find
the root cause of the moisture as this is NOT normal ,in 7 years i have had 4 lexus
cars and never had an issue like this.
TAKE IT BACK AND DONT ACCEPT ITS NORMAL

i've had my Gs300h since october 2020 so not long
its a good comfortable , quiet car thats returning over 40mpg
during the winter months and even being the lowest spec
model in the range it has all the tech i need / want,
i purchased my 1st Lexus in october 2013 and i am now on
my 4th Lexus they have all been brilliant cars to drive and own.
so my advice would be test drive both of them and put a deposit down
on the one your taking home
