  1. Thanks. I've ordered a kit... From our friends in China... I'll update if it works!
  2. Can you change vehicle settings using the techstream software and vci cable? I want to change the light sensitivity!
  3. It did take a me a loooong time to decide to go dark in all honesty. However for me I think it's the right choice...a good mix of black and chrome with a few aggressive bits too Thanks. Again took me a good while to sort the sizes! It's lowered on the US Eibach Pro version....so lower to the font rather than the same drop all round...just a preference. I did see a few IS250s with 19s without being dropped and even though the back looked OK the fronts just didn't look right. lol...Looks like I am not the only one to notice this with the balancing weights! I bought the rims online and when they arrived I was a bit gutted that they would use light coloured weights on black rims!! grrrrr. I was eager to get them on so didn't do anything about them, however I will be sticking a bit of black spray on them next weekend!
  4. Lol... I've heard you guys like to visit the beach and flash ;-)
  5. I did a good bit of checking re tyre sizes... Just to make sure they wouldn't rub but would look clean with the body. They are Axe CS Lite's... And for the size they are pretty light for the price, certainly lighter than the 17" OEMs I took off! No spacers, just the tyre with and an offset of 40. The chrome trim us aftermarket. Hands were from Japan somewhere. The front upper grille was off fleabay US and the lower insert is from a company called LX Mode... And they are as rare as rocking horse **** I've been told! Lol. My biggest decision is to fit or not fit a front Wald type lip I bought... After importing it I realised it wouldn't fit with the lower chrome insert still in place! Pretty gutted as I love it! Might give it go though!
  6. Eventually decided on and fitted new alloy wheels. They are 8.5 Fronts 225/35/19 and 9.5 Rears 265/30/19. I was surprised how little difference the ride comfort has changed...in fact I am astonished! No rubbing whatsoever which I am pretty happy about as it's lowered 1.4" on the front and 1" to the rear. Now need to find someone who can make some custom Lexus Centre Caps as these are 69mm! The banana peel comes free! Here's some pictures...car not cleaned due to this lovely weather!
  7. Haha... Yeah looks better when clean ;-) TThe springs were from eBay... A seller called Highperformanceoutlet. They were around £270 Inc shipping and import duty. The spoilers I bought from eBay too from a seller in Taiwan named happybuyitnow168. I also bought the front splitter yet to be installed from them. The quality of paint finish is outstanding! The door handles were from the US, however I can't find where I bought them from, sorry bud
  8. Hello all, Just wondered if I'm the only active member of LOC from the Isle of Wight? I'm not lonely you understand!
  9. Here's some before & After Pics: Before - After - Will also be looking a bit different by the end of this weekend if the new wheels turn up!
  10. You sound like me before I took the plunge to drop it! Lol Depending on the springs chosen there will be a considerable difference in ride quality. I took a ride in 5 lowered IS250's prior to making a decision! I chose Eibach Pro's but the US version. They lower 1.4" Front and 1" Rear.... The ride quality is just as good over bumps as the oem springs! Plus far better around corners. The UK version drops 30mm all round and you can really feel the difference on ride quality. For some reason that small difference between the UK and USA versions translates to a massive difference in look and ride quality IMHO. I'll post some pics later for you bud
  11. Well bud by this weekend if all goes to plan I'll be diving in the deep end and putting 4 shiny black staggered 19s on! Mines already lowered so I can give you first hand experience! I've done a good few months of research, including asking a few local lads here on the Isle of Wight from a modifiers club re their take on it. I'll be refurbing my oem wheels and keeping them as backup and winter ones so if I don't like the ride I can always go back!
  12. Thanks for the reply. Good point re the curbs! If I do go with the 19s I can make sure the overall wheel diameter will be very very similar and within tolerance compared to the original wheel diameter so it shouldn't make any difference on wheel travel.
  13. I think I will just order them from a dealership just in case! I might then get my local garage to fit them so I don't need to go through the frustration! Thanks for all the input guys :-)
  14. Hello all, I have recently put Eibach Pro (US Import) on my 250. However even though the ride is great and the stance even better I have noticed that my dipped beam is slightly higher. As these Eibach's were the US version they lowered the front .4" more than the rear. So my guess is that as the front is lower now the auto-leveling is putting them too far up. I have read this is the AFS sensor and I need to move some bolt to the middle of something on both front and back of the car.... Anyone got any real info on this? Cheers
  15. Hello you lovely Lexy owners! Yes, I am in that sort of moody I am wondering what others think about having 19" alloys with their 220/250? I have heard differing opinions so far, from its "just right" to "it's like rolling on wooden wheels"! Anyone who has or does have them offer any opinions with some real substance? I have been offered a ridiculous deal for 4 Axe 19" Black rims and Falken tyres and I am very very tempted! I have checked the size and with the tyres the will fit without rubbing...so really it's just the ride I am concerned about.
  16. Cheers bud! I'll give them a bell tomorrow and hopefully get some underway.
  17. I've had two issues, seized caliper pins and seized bolts on the lower control arm. The front and rear bushes also require changing which I'll be doing next. However... For 100k it's stunning! I've seen many many vehicles with half the miles with much more on the to fix or mend list!
  18. Sorry, wasn't to do with the price from them, Unfortunately there's no dealers on the Isle of Wight so need somewhere that'll post them out
  19. Hello all, Unfortunately I had two seized calipers and they needed heating up to get free. The rubber boots are now damaged. Anyone know where I can get them from apart from a dealership? Or at least a part number? Cheers
  20. Great motor....it'll be very much worth the wait! All of the above are really good places to start. One thing to bear in mind is to keep an eye on your oil levels with the 250. Factory states 1ltr per 1000 miles is normal. Mine does that and some extra, however I do drive it like I stole it!!
  21. Thanks John, really appreciate the thorough info! I have had a chat with the local garage I use and they are happy to complete some parts and me the rest and they will check it and stamp the book....best of both worlds! I am trying to find the oil filter tool....any idea where one can be found?
  22. Just watched as the counter went past the 100k miles mark! Gulp! I'm away at present but when I get back I'll have to get the service booked in. Unfortunately there's no Lexus dealership where I live (Isle of Wight). The last service was just after 90k before I bought the car but turns out was not the full service required. So, any ideas what the 100k full service would be and also is it worth me taking it to Southampton Lexus for it? It's got full lexus history bar the last one.
  23. Aaarrrrgghhh!! I am losing my mind. After a good while searching this forum I still cannot find the thread where someone kindly listed a load of wheel and tyre sizes.... Any help in finding the thread would be REALLY appreciated! I am trying to find some sizes for aftermarket 19" alloys and tyres. Cheers
  24. Thanks for the pic. So it's the circle with a hole in the middle yeah?
