  1. Just to double check....did you need to change your OEM wheel nuts? Just reading the H&R site and they say some might not be long enough? Don't understand why not as it would be the threaded bolts which would need to be longer...buy hey!
  2. Cheers Jami. Love that side-on view. To be honest I will still want them spaced when I replace with 18s, however need to confirm if that will change the spacing. I will search fleabay for some 15/20 or 10/20 and see how I go. Cheers
  3. Hello all, I want to make all four wheels flush (ish) with the body of my 250 ('07). I am thinking of getting new alloys, however in the meantime what makes and sizes are best? Cheers
  4. Hello all, I understand that somewhere in the recesses of my Navigation menu I can change the auto-light sensitivity....Sadly my glasses are not helping! Anyone know where this is on a 2007 SE-L? It has the Levison kit. Just to note, I have searched and can't find anyone pointing to it! Cheers
  5. Hahaha...love that your wife is helping you out! It might not get all tar off...depends on how ground in the dirt is on your tips. Might be worth a try....it'll polish them up if already free from grit etc but not sure if it will clean them though.
  6. I was lucky and bought them from someone who had ordered them for a project and not used them. Sadly you can't find the OEM looking ones in the UK as far as I can tell. Saying that though, you can find them on fleabay from the US. Just search for 'Lexus IS250 Eagle Eyes'. Here's a link to one of them: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-2007-2008-LEXUS-IS250-IS350-LED-TAIL-LIGHTS-RED-/400332494607?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d35ad170f The cost looks to be around £180 ish including import duty. You may have to modify the Fog Light opening to accommodate the bigger fog bulbs over here....that's what was required on the ones I have....unsure on the ones linked to though.
  7. Cheers... Will be worth it. Yes, the rear lights are different. I swapped them out a few weeks ago with LED Eagle Eyes. There's a few different kinds. Mine are as close to OEM looking with just the clear indicators. They look pretty damn sexy at night with tthe LED lit up ;-)
  8. Lol... I've only owned the car a few months... Well only since December then it was in the bodyshop until March ;-)
  9. Unfortunately it wasn't that easy. From now on I will keep them clean, however the grit was solid as was the tar. I had already tried the normal approach when washing the car but nothing was budging it. The Brillo I used was the soft one that has not long since come out which has the Mr Muscle stuff in it. After taking it easy (using a washing up brush at first!) it started to come off. I used Autosol after cleaning most of the grim off and buffed them up....gladly no scratches
  10. Hello all, I have been meaning to clean my exhaust tips for a while now. They were near jet black from years of tar, fumes and general grit stuck on them. The picture below shows the best of the two (I'd already started on the other!): So, I set about grabbing some Brillo pads with that pink Mr Muscle stuff, some hot water and a bit of determination! The grime and tar was so stuck on I actually broke a sweat! The cheek of it I tell you! Anyway....after only 10 minutes each side the OEM Tips look nearly new! I cannot believe how well they have come up :) If anyone has got the OEM tips and they've got grime/tar build-up....I would certainly recommend a bit of water and a brillo pad...gently does it though! Here's some pictures....this was before I also buffed them up:
  11. Isn't the F-Sport intake a closed panel one though? So I would guess wouldn't allow much of the air intake rumble to get out?
  12. Hello all, I am contemplating fitting an induction kit....yes I know it's not to everyone's taste....but I came from a very modified 3ltr Jag so I wanna hear something when I open the window! However I don't want the drone of an aftermarket zorst....so...Induction me thinks. I have looked around and even though there's a few I keep finding myself checking out the K&N Typhoon....retailing for just over £200. Has anyone fitted one and happy with it? Or for that matter any opinions on induction? Cheers
  13. You can purchase the required kit from a guy in Oz. Search the forum for Po-40 - I bought one a few months back...yet to to fit it but when I have time it shall be done! They are about £60 ish IIRC.
  14. I'll be happy to drive mine out to you for a test drive if you pay.....
  15. Hey all, I am a bit of a "I will catch you and hurt you" kinda guy when it comes to my car...therefore I have got a couple of cameras in the car...Russian-stylee! Both cameras are rechargeable and have motion detection. I can't find the seller that I bought them off, however they are cheap (£20 - £30 + import duty if you get collared for it) and work very well indeed. Here's the same model of one of mine: Dual Lens DashCam - There's lots more....just search 'car camera dual' on fleabay. As it says...its dual lens....the good thing about this one is that both lenses can be turned in all sorts of directions. Both cameras can be set to record on a rolling basis from 5 to 15 minutes so you don't need a large MicroSD card if you are using it just through the day whilst driving. However if like me you want to use it for leaving your car unattended (even through the night...did I mention it has InfraRed Night Vision too?!) then you will need a 32GB MicroSD card and disable the rolling recording function along with the function to auto-switch off when you turn the engine off. Just to note....no wiring into the vehicle is required at all...only the 12v charger when you are driving to charge it for the overnight or car park stuff. Oh, also....it's best that you have tinted rear windows so you can stick the camera on the rear window so it won't be seen if leaving it overnight as leaving it on the front screen is kinda asking for it to be nicked... Can you guess I am impressed? Might be overkill in some peoples eyes....however for the very low cost and plug it in and leave it....it's a good buy for me :hohoho:
  16. Hello all, Just wondered if anyone knows how to replace the side skirts on the 250? I've bought some that have come off a late '06 Sport model and want to put them on my 07. For some reason I thought they added over the top of my ones but it looks like they are a complete unit so mine off and the replacements on.... Any ideas? I'll give it a bash this weekend but wanted to check just in case there's any known issues! Cheers
  17. Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Time to invest in a motion detection camera! After the horse has bolted I know!
  18. I'd love to get up there....still wondering if an hour on the ferry then 1 hour 30 minutes drive will be justified!
  19. Looks like there is/was a 220 F-Sport, however it's a specific model rather than an SE with a package. Might be worth checking with the garage. Check if it's got perforated seats and what leather trim as the F-Sport doesn't have the normal seats and has part Alcantara / leather trim. You could always do a search on the vehicle Reg with a free app, that will confirm what it is. The only thing that seems different is the alloys from that list.
  20. Unsure what the seller means by the F-Sport package. There's a Sport and an F-Sport but if it's an SE then it's neither of those. It might have had added extras from factory mind you... The F-Sport is a petrol only I think... Might be mistaken. I'm sure someone else will confirm
  21. Hi, Beautiful looking IS....I hope you are getting something just as nice! Just to check, is that a respray or a wrap?
  22. You can get them from the states...there's quite a few on eBay over there. Just search 'Lexus IS250 Eagle Eye'. They are around £150 ish plus any import duty. I was pretty lucky and found someone who had bought them for a project then weren't needed.
