Thanks for the comments. I'd rather be safe and get the recommended ones for the 18x8. I have just had a chat with a local tyre supplier and they echoed the words of John...shouldn't really have 255 on a 18x8. The OEM 18's for the rear are 18x8.5 so that's why they have 255 as standard. I really do like the rims I have found...however I might keep looking to see if I can find some staggered (18x8 / 18x8.5 or 9) as I think the stance looks far better with the wider rears. Unfortunately there's not much choice for 18x8 (+45) / 18x8.5 (+50) or 9 out there :megaangry:

Hello all, I am replacing my stock 17" wheels with some aftermarket 18" ones. However I have just noticed that both of the aftermarket sets I was interested in are 18x8. After looking through quite a few forum posts it seems that the stock 18" wheels were 18x8 on the front and 18x8.5 on the rear....what impact having 18" x 8" all round would there be? if any! My stock 17's are 8" all round so I am guessing it is fine for the 18's, however I just want to be sure there'll be no real impact....including the tyre sizes I was looking at (225/40/18 & 255/40/18). Cheers

Just to check...and sorry for the hijack....does the Lexus Map Update site actually work? I have tried with multiple browsers on two devices and it does nothing after entering the current Part Number -
Hello all, I am trying to locate a supplier in the UK of 18" staggered and concaved rims for my '07 250. After do some searching within the forum and also on Google I am finding it nigh on impossible to find what I am looking for! Can anyone either recommend an online supplier or any 5 / 6 / 7 spoke concaved staggered rims? Pref 18" but might go up to 19". I do like the Audi OEM ones like this: I believe the the sizes should be either 8" Front & 9" Rear or 8.5" Front & 9.5" Rear. Any help would be great!

Hello all, Thinking about lowering my IS250 '07. I have replaced springs before so not worried about the change, however is there a guide specifically for the IS? Also, what are the current recommendations for available springs? I have seen Eibach Pro and H&R being pretty popular but also looking at the the Tein springs as they only lower it by 30mm instead of the 35 ish. I know there is a number of forum posts re springs however I just wanted to know the here and now if anything has changed along with a guide for all four corners. Cheers you beautiful Lexus owners!!

I've not got a before one, but that's just not worth uploading...I'll try do a short video later....hopefully the video does it justice! -
It took nearly 6 months to find the right SE-L for me! However I did have to compromise slightly on the mileage. What I would say is don't get too hung up on the mileage on these, especially the SE-L... Their resale value holds still and mine now has 90k on the clock and drives like 10k. In the end I bought the late 07 SE-L MM Auto with FLSH for less than £7k and could not be happier. I've owned newer, less miles prestigious cars and not one beats this! I've owned an M5 too!

That's great feedback... Still need to install mine! Did you solder the wires? -
Installed a new AEM air intake to let the car breathe a bit better but still keep the quietness of the engine... It's pretty damn great! For anyone wanting to hear a bit more of the V6 whilst still keeping quiet around town then I would suggest getting the AEM intake. There's a few different manufacturers to choose from, however the AEM also comes with a module that fits on the MAF sensor to stop the engine light issues and also stop any incorrect changes in fuel governed by the ECU. That's not the only benefit of the AEM but it's worth it just for that! The installation too an hour and is very straight forward. There is no change in engine sound under 2.5k rpm... A little rumble up to 3k then growls like a beauty from about 4.5k rpm! Anyone who wants the growl on foot down but quiet at lower end then you should consider this!

Nearly went for the k&n, however the open cone oiled ones are not too good in our uk climate from what I've read. Their main issue is that due to the damp they get clogged up pretty quickly and their airflow reduces dramatically as a result. I've used the filters for a while mind you. I did think about the F Sport induction but as it's closed it doesn't create as must of the sound as I want... They sound better when mixed with ss exhausts which I'm not doing... Well yet anyway! I've got a delivery date for the AEM so in a couple of weeks I'll see!

I got one two or three months back... Shipping only took a few days and that was from Oz! Unfortunately not had time to wire it in yet! -
Hello all, Anyone installed one of the AEM intakes on their 250? I've done a load of research on the available intakes, including K&N Typhoon, Blitz, aFe & Greddy... Plus obviously the AEM. The AEM suits me from price and performance, however just wondered what others thought about it? I know they can only be imported at present and have one coming but always happy to listen to others thoughts ☺ Cheers

Best Set Up For Front Discs And Pads Is250
PilgrimIS replied to Gramera flash's topic in Brakes & Suspension
I run MTEC drilled and grooved with Redstuff pads... I could stop a freight train... However pretty noisy on braking! No squealing, just pretty annoying fast ticking sound which is the pads hitting the holes and grooves. I wouldn't go this route again in all honesty -

Interesting on your point Dazed... Mines just hit 95k so could fit into that... But using way more that normal I think -

1000 per litre?! Never had a car that's gone through that much in all honesty. I took it to the garage to get it all checked out and they filled it up so don't know how much, however they even said they were pretty surprised how low it had gone -

I've noticed my 07 250 uses a huge amount of oil. Pretty staggering... No oil leaks, engine seems to be in perfect condition but drinks oil. For instance, completed a full oil flush and change 5 months ago, clocked up only 3500 miles and the engine low oil light came on the other day! Checked it and sure enough it was just registering on minimum. Will keep and eye on this thread, will be interesting!
