Good evening, unfortunately another driver tried to squeeze through a gap that he could not possibly fit between last night and subsequently smashed my mirror nearly clean off my 2009 IS250 The glass has smashed and it was the auto dimming one (Chromactic). Cut to the chase and Lexus want £315 for the glass on its own so after plenty of digging and reading through posts on here and coming up with nothing i need to know this. As my car was the face-lift model (2009) with the indicator in the mirror and reverse dip down etc would a mirror glass fit off the pre face-lift model? The reason i ask is because i have seen one on ebay and its the only one that is auto dimming on there. I only need the glass and not the whole mirror but i can sort that. I just need to know if the shape of the glass changed? After asking a few breakers and of course Lexus none of them will commit. So i thought its worth putting a post up. Cheers in advance guys Dpz

If that is true then the computer on mine read 44.6mpg at 70mph (Cruise) going up the A1 so 2.5 off that would still be 42. When i got through to the road works which was a 50mph limit it dropped to 38mpg. As i said before i'm lucky to get 26-28 around town though.

Firstly i must say what a nice motor you have. Similar colour to mine? On the logbook it says (Sable) Seems like you have the same problem as me the Mrs has the car all week for work i don't get a look in ha ha. As for the MPG i had 44.6mpg on a run up to the north east last month which i though was really good. Best i can hope for around town is 26-28. As for changing the parking you do that on the screen (while you are in Reverse) its at the bottom just touch it and it goes onto the next option. Enjoy your Lexie!

I use mine for overtaking on country roads its a lot of fun! I know it makes holds each gear longer before changing but can anyone else confirm if it changes the ecu settings? As this is what i was told and i don't know if its rubbish?

This happens a lot to me on a roundabout near our house. They are just idiots, like you say don't know what goes through there heads.

I have never owned a diseasel car and probably never will. For me diseasel's belong in Trucks and Vans. I can see why people have them of course for MPG but like everyone has mostly pointed out they come with there problems. I do hear a lot of things about the Merc (Bluetec) engine having all sorts of problems as my friend works in a dealers but they do tend not to publicise it. I am not singling Mercs out here just merely an example. Just my three penneth worth.

No this will not work as you would need power to the usb stick which the 3.5mm is for an audio signal only. Exactly why an ipod has its own power source ie battery. Hope this helps.
