  1. Sounds like Lexus want to encourage owners to buy a new car every 3 years! Alternatively, Lexus cars are also more expensive to buy, and so presumably more expensive to fix under warranty. Perhaps 3 years it the point at which the cash reserve Lexus would have to put aside to cover warranty repairs, would make the price of the new cars too expensive, or they may be more complex and so more likely to go wrong. The hybrid battery needs a longer warranty than 3 years or people would not buy a hybrid for fear of a big bill to replace them.
  2. Toyota is recalling 1.9 million of its top-selling Prius hybrid cars because of a software fault that may cause the vehicle to slow down suddenly. Will this also affect the CT as it shares the same drivetrain?
  3. I am currently getting around 48 mpg per tank (50 mpg on the computer). I am a bit disappointed in this as I thought I was an economical driver, but it’s a lot better than the 28 mpg I was getting from my previous car. However the car has only done 2000 miles and my daily commute is about 7 miles mainly at 20 – 40 mph. I am hoping it will improve in the summer.
  4. With the 2014 version, Lexus seem to have addressed some of the negative points made in the press about the previous version. Not sure about the new front grille though, maybe I will get used to it. Only had my 2013 CT for a few months so too early to change yet but, would be interested to see how the new model compares. Keep us posted KDS.
