Hi all i am after advice please , my ls 430 used to close the windows and roof if lock on the fob was held for a few seconds , now the fob will fully open all windows and roof but will not close them. I have had the battery disconnected a few times ,once for replacement,(think the cold got at it) and once to fit ghost door lights , Is there a sequence of button pressing which will reinstate this function? It was the fully loaded limo with all the toys in the back , my son enjoyed playing with the TVs while i was driving and the chauffeur was in the passenger seat , top car ,sorry for the confusion

cheers cruisermark ,point taken about hybrid, the ones ive driven start on electric then petrol but as you say not hybrid. Just doing research as possibly next car, i am very happy with my 430 on gas , equivalent of 47 mpg from a 4.3 v8 , just makes me smile

Hi there ive not been on the forum for a while ,i still have my ls430 now showing 160000 , has been gased from 99000. my question is can you gas a ls460 with it being a hybred. just a thourght

Yea Mark the car is now as quite as the original, but i did have the choice of what sound i wanted, right up to full v8 growl

HI all ,i am posting this to recommend Tony Banks exhausts. www.tonybanksexhaustsltd I went yesterday for 2 back boxes on my 52 plate ls 430 . You choose the sound you want (i went for silent) and the tail pipe style, they cut off the old and weld on 2 new stainless ones. 288 pounds inc vat Small busy workshop in Leeds, ( LS12 4QP) They also build complete systems forming the tubes on site , cats and headers also supplied . Check them out if your tubes are a bit leaky

Hi all and many thanks for your contributions, my air con problem is still not resolved , but i am further ahead from the last post . after having the car on a friends car lift i have found damage to one of pipes coming round the left side of engine, looks like it has been in contact with something and rubbed through . Many thanks to" willskoda", the rear section of air con pipework is open to the elements and prone to fail , but i am sure the previous owner has had those pipes replaced , i nave receipts for work undertaken . When i can get access to the lift again i will remove said pipes and manufacture or repair or worst case purchase replacements. i will keep all informed. hi all quite new to this, have a 2002 ls 430 with no refrigerant in air con system , after reading other threads about the rear air con pipework failing , i was wondering if anyone can send me a pdf of the pipework runs for the air con for this model so i can check for corrosion and maybe manufacture replacements . many thanks Keith

hi your fob can be programmed to open one door only or all doors , a call to your local dealer should fix fault . my 430 hand book says there are different combinations of door opening options .hope this helps

hi Richard i found this guy very helpful Eugene Kaspin VAIS Technology phone: 720-733-2348 e-mail: info@vaistech.com he gave me a sale price on the product i used ( sl3i ) ** **the postage was expensive so i posted to a friend in the usa and the forwarded it to me on their main site there is a product compatibility list for most lexus, this will give you some incite to the unit you will need. my unit cons the standard headunit into thinking its playing a mini disk, but its actually my ipod, with artist and tack info shown on the touch screen system all of the steering wheel and touch screen controls still work hope this is of help you'll never be late with a V8 kind regards Keith

HI i have been following this thread with interest , i have just fitted a vais sl3i to my Ls430 2002 model with fantastic results , it took me 2hours ,being very careful how to remove radio etc . i now have access to 7000 songs through my ipod with clear Mark Levison quality. If i can offer advice to anyone thinking of doing the same please dont hesitate to ask regards keith youll never be late with a v8

Hi all this is my first post , i have a ls 430 2002 in silver , fantastic car, new to me last month converted to LPG Can anyone help me as i am looking for 1 wheel centre cap and 3 retaining springs ,or do they come as a unit. I have lost one cap completely and the "lugs" on the others all show signs of damage or are missing . I think i can make a temp repair for now , i would be grateful for any help
