  1. See this topic has been covered a bit. Recently turned my rear demister on after not needing to use it for months. When the FM Radio is on at the same time as the rear demister the radio (only on fm) goes fuzzy. Having looked at similar posts it seems it's a break in the connection with the aerial and or the demister. I'll try and put a pic on but I bought Granville connection paint from halfords which has made it worse. Any ideas how to fix it Thanks
  2. Did u ever find out what this is? I have the exact same thing and it's doing my head in!
  3. Was yours rattling when turning right only also? Could u gimme a rough idea where on the underneath this bit of metal was please. The knocking noise I have sounds like it's right below my seat.
  4. Same here...mine gets luke warmish also. The manual refers to it as quite hot and not to touch it. Mine I'd say, doesn't even get as hot as my wing mirrors.
  5. I'm in N.I too. Much did they charge you for that Chris. I'm getting 33 average mpg.
  6. My mechanic had it on the ramp as I had him have a look at it while he was servicing it he can see any movement in any guards or heat shields. It sounds like an exhaust box right under my drivers seat. Never happens turning left though. He also checked wheel bearings and bushes etc.
  7. Sorry for the late reply. Notifications were going to my junk mail. Haven't had a proper look under the car but there's a small heat shield under my seat where the noise seems to be coming from. It's solid. Doesn't move at all. My mechanic says it could be the prop shaft bearing as the prop shaft seemed to have a bit of movement. But wouldn't that sound it you were turning both ways and not just right.
  8. I've a 2008 IS220D SE-L Ever since I have owned it, about 18 months. I have a rattling noise under my drivers seat. This noise is ONLY noticeable when turning right - particularly when turning right going downhill. It sounds like a rattly exhaust box or something. Nothing under the outside of the car that I can see that would make that noise. There is a small heat shield there but it doesn't move. Thank you in advance.
  9. Have u checked that you haven't set them to move different amounts. They can be set to move when reversing to a specific height.
  10. I got this done 6 months ago. It didn't need done I got it done to see if it would improve my mpg. I seen on the guys facebook page that after the process was finished the car would cough and sputter black smoke. Results: Cost £140 Better MPG-No, same Cough black smoke? No...not even a bit Outcome? Well, not writing it off..Maybe if DPF has failed and blocked then it might be more benificial but for me I wouldn't know the guy had done it if it weren't for me watching him.
  11. Hi... just noticed the felt board which covers the moulded plastic above the spare tyre in the boot of my IS220D 2008 is collapsing under the weight of whatever I carry in my boot. Didn't realise it needed "supports" I can't see them. Not sure if I ever had them. Can anyone post a link to where I could purchase these. I've tried ebay etc. Can't find. Thanks in advance.
  12. Sorry to jump on an old post but could someone help me. my auto air con for the past few days seems to just go to the foot well option. Also when it's on if I remember correctly it used to change from the air outside to just the air inside. Mine doesn't so that anymore and also if I remember correctly if I pressed the air to come from outside it cancelled the air con. Thanks
  13. Sorry if this has been posted before but I have searched the forums and can't find anything specific to this. My battery went dead the other day. Got that sorted and everything's fine. Question is- when I press my Auto Air Con on the air con goes directly to the footwell each time. Also if I remember correctly when I turned it on before it changed the air (if it wasn't already) from coming from the outside to just recirculating inside. And if I changed it manually between the two it knocked the auto air con off... Apologies if this has always been the case and my head is melted...! Thanks in advance!
  14. Bought an IS220d SE-L a few months ago. Also well with it, just over 51k miles. I've started to notice a noise coming from it when idling, not overly loud but like its revving slightly higher(although doesn't show on rev counter) and when I push clutch in it goes back to normal. The clutch also makes a strange noise when engaging but not when disengaging. Like a spring noise. Hard to describe, sorry. This is my first post so hello to everyone, I've just changed to this car from owning SRI Vectras for years.
  15. Just rang Lexus to make sure and they told me basically the same. Hold pin up as far as it goes and click it 1 click until it's flush. Second click down releases it
  16. I dunno if I did. Am I supposed to hold the middle pin up until I've put the outside pins thru then press the middle pin down? Thanks for all this helps seems stupid over just a plastic clip, lol
  17. Thanks, I pushed the centre pin in with my finger and it popped out. Although I did break a few, when I tried to put one I didn't break back in it wouldn't click into place.
  18. Ok Found it thanks alot. I bought these last night. Thanks guys. Just one last thing - how the hell do I get them off and on without breaking them?
  19. Google search is the only search I can find. Is that the default search for this forum? Thanks
