I'm just looking into it now, as I'm emailing you I'm on the phone to the depot as your car is sat ready to go onto a transporter ?? Ring you ASAP Em That was 09:27 this morning, heard nothing yet !!!!

Not with my luck mate !! Also, trying to judge driving a thirsty petrol car around on fumes !! I laugh when people mention the IS consumption is not up to claims, I dunno what my A5 is supposed to do but it is averaging about 27-28 at the moment, and that's with the optimistic Audi fuel computer in the car so probably more like 24-25.

Well, I have been promised a call when mine arrives. Supposed to be in stock today, but no call so guess it hasn't made it to the dealers on time and I assume that means delivery on Monday is unlikely

When I re-ordered after the whole "damaged delivery" debacle, they quoted me 2nd to 3rd week of Jan for delivery and now they are saying due in on 25th Feb. Guess the sea must be choppy or something ??!!??

My Audi has DAB mate and spends most of its timing losing signal in the Midlands. Would never pay for it as an option, I suppose coverage must be iffy by me ??

What size memory sticks are most people using, and does the car "prefer" any brand in particular ? May sound a daft question, but Audis definitely prefer Transcend cards ??

Am expecting a phone call to say it is in stock on Wednesday, and the nice fleet lady has said that if it is it will be with my Company on Monday 2nd March. They have also arranged delivery this time in an enclosed lorry so it should get to me pristine and in one piece this time !! Just one more week to wait, seems and awfully long time since June when I ordered the first time.

Colour is very subjective, and TBH, I have ordered a white F-Sport because I love sporty model cars in white. I think the IS looks great in white with the dark wheels, but go with what you like. Below is my current A5, and my previous A4. Plus my little Fireblade toy !!

Hi Ed. Mine is an F-Sport in F-Sport White.........all standard apart from Sat Nav ( the basic one without the camera ). Its a Company car so I keep an eye on P11D value and BIK %. The standard nav is more than enough for me on the odd occasion I will use it, and I only added it as it made the lease cheaper than the car without nav, presumably because of its future value. I was tempted by a 4 series Beemer or a new C Class, but I wanted something different from the crowd, and a 48 hour test drive confirmed my choice. Hi Gang. I feel your pain, 2015 had been a bit pants work wise so far, so the new motor is required to put a smile on my face. Just hope it arrives when it is supposed to !!

Dealer phoned me yesterday with my new registration, I had requested it as I need to book some airport parking in April and I don't want to pay extra to be able to change the booking. I questioned that I assumed that my car was there as it was due in the 2nd to 3rd week of January..............to which the answer was "No, its not arrived yet" Here we go again............................... Got a call a little later to say the car was confirmed to be delivered to the dealer on Wednesday 25th Feb and it will be turned round and delivered to my work on Monday 2nd March. They have also confirmed that it will be coming in a covered transport lorry this time. Maybe this one stands a chance of being on time and undamaged !!!!????!!! Fingers crossed.

I have had good and bad German cars, but I'm trying a change based on experience of trying the car Some people don't get that, but I am open minded !! My current petrol 2.0T A5 uses a litre of oil per 1000 miles. German cars superior ????? Roll on March 1st

I have never read a brilliant review of the IS A colleague at work who will never drive non German told me he was surprised that I had ordered one as a Company car as the reviews were so poor I gave him an easy curt response.................."Have you ever driven an IS300H ? No - I thought so, shut up then !" I decided on mine after a 48 hour test drive I did 300 miles in my A5 Coupe yesterday and my back is killing me today !!

It cloud be worse bluenose, you could be driving a coupe. On a particularly frosty morning, I can't open the doors to get in and start the car as the windows won't drop. Can't wait for the IS to arrive in about 6 weeks.

15 plate mate for March 15

Hello all Happy 2015 and all that Have been reading the forum with interest and thought I would post to say, new car should be here in 7 weeks I guess as March 1st comes in to view I expect the next one will be inspected like a hawk !! Need to book some car parking in April so have asked the dealer for my 15 reg if possible, no reply as yet

Could be worse, could have turned up battered and dirty like mine !! Although, TBF, that was the delivery company and not the dealer. The dealer was horrified when I spoke to them. As for local dealers, I went to Lexus Birmingham and they loaned me a brand new F Sport for 2 days for a test drive. You can't say fairer than that, I just wish the leasing company had used them as the supplying dealer. My 15 plate on 01/03/15 seems a very long way off !!

Not the only car to suffer variances from models and build years. My Audi A3 and A4 had heated seats that you could cook on, but the A5 heated seats are crap in comparison. I read somewhere that they had been turned down as they got too hot, but you do have 6 settings to pick from ?? I'm not worried about sat nav frustration. My car will have the "lower" nav but I will only use it on odd occasions. As mine will now be a March 1st car, maybe some further software updates will have come along to address some know frustrations ??

Well....................good news and bad news The good news is that "somebody" has accepted liability and the car is being collected and a replacement arranged The bad news is that the replacement is another factory order vehicle. The leasing Company have given an estimated delivery date of mid to late January so I have said that I will wait the extra few weeks and have a 15 plate car on the 1st March. So all in, 8 months to get a replacement car. Not impressed.

The Company I work for is a large utility mate and we have our own Fleet department and service vehicles in house as they are approved by all the top marques so a freebie in the vain won't carry any weight. I'll leave it a few more days and go and speak to them to see what's happening. My car will need tyres soon at £350 each........wonder where that bill is going ??

Latest update........... As expected there is some sort of stand-off at the moment and the car is still sitting where I parked it when I took it back on Tuesday morning. Expect to be in the Audi for a while yet :-(

Well, dropped car off and showed the transport manager the damage. He was gobsmacked. Some irate emails from him to our leasing company account manager, who agreed to come to site as a meeting was due anyway. Cut a long story short, the leasing company have taken this up with the dealer and have agreed that the car will go back and I will be provided with a replacement vehicle, not the original vehicle repaired. Transport company gave some crap about not all paperwork signed or some rubbish, but I guess they know they have some grief coming their way. Fleet manager also asked the leasing company why the car wasn't delivered in a covered transporter, don't know what the reply was or whether the next one will be. Now comes the question of replacement. Transport manager says they may try and source another car quickly and this may have a different spec, but if it has more goodies it is then down to if I accept to pay more tax if the P11D value is higher. Guess we will have to wait and see, worst case is another factory order. Could be a 2015 car at this rate :-(

Dealer is Fish Bros in Swindon mate. My best mate, who works for Benham BMW, has been round tonight and says it appears to definitely be damage from a transporter. I'm miffed why the dealer released it as it is............. Didn't they know ? Did they hope we wouldn't realise ? TBF you can't miss the scratch/dent just above the drivers door. I'll see in the morning when I drop if off at work but I assume they will send somebody up before they accept the car back. I know one thing, I do not want that car period. It is a fleet car and I haven't shelled out the cash, but that's not the point and so far the Lexus ownership experience has not been what I thought it would be. I know this is an isolated case as the dealers are rated as excellent. If they do accept that we refuse the car and place another order, I might as well wait for a 15 plate !!
