  1. Update ... New diff fitted with a 35% goodwill discount which was good! All seems back to normal now 😄
  2. Hi Again, Garage has some feedback and have narrowed the noise down to the differential. They are going to contact Lexus to see how to proceed with the repair, as the car is out of warranty :-( so i'm not 100% sure what that means? Hopefully they will get back to me with some good news as its been almost a week. I'll keep you all updated. thanks John
  3. Booked it in yesterday, explained I thought it was the Diff, and maybe Lubricant related, the friendly front of house took it all down and let me head off in their courtest CT200h (not bad) They have since phoned, saying they found a broken coil spring (front I believe), and are in the process of ordering this up and fitting it, but will road test the car again once its on, so sounds promising! But, not sure how a spring could been broken, anyway these things happen I suppose? The garage has made no mention of the diff yet and no diagnosis of the noise/feeling, infact they havent mentioned whether they hear/feel it themselves, so i'm a bit dubious that its the spring causing the noise, but glad thats been fixed anyway. The noise isn't there first thing in the morning, and only after driving for a while, and everything is up to max temperature, then once you start pulling away from junctions, parking or coming to a stop with the wheels tuned you hear and feel the back juddering, binding then releasing and emiting a funny noise etc, and once the wheel is straight its all ok, could a spring cause this after a lengthy drive? So anyway, i'm hoping all is cured this week once they let me know... Trying not to get too used to this hybrid stuff in the meantime (its actually quite good), maybe when i reach 60 years old i'll consider one :-)
  4. Stunning! Wonder if white would come out as good, do like the colour of yours!
  5. hmmm thanks guys, I'll need to pop in to the garage and try and get someone to have a quick listen!
  6. Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me? My car was recently serviced a few weeks ago 40k service, and I've started to hear and feel a strange noise from the rear of the car when taking off slowly and turning left or right (70 - 100% lock), there is no noise when driving straight, or on moderate curves and bends, more just when parking or driving round tight corners in carparks etc. I noticed the service sheet mentioned the diff oil was changed and I also had a seized rear caliper that was looked at. Does anyone get the same feeling? or does something sound broken? Thanks again, John
  7. Sorry the irks should be http://www.madaboutcarservicing.com/garages/ukar-auto-centre-east-calder.aspx And http://www.ukaccidentrepair.com
  8. Hi Got it done finally, went to an independent in Edinburgh but it was still out by a few degrees, so decided to book it in to the Edinburgh newbridge dealer as recommended by other forum members, looks like they use an accident repair place in East Calder as the top of the alignment print out says UK AR CENTRE googling it brings up this site http://www.ukaccidentrepair.com or http://www.madaboutcarservicing.com/garages/ukar-auto-centre-east-calder.aspx seems to have done the trick though! My caster is right on the limit of off spec on left front but they said it doesn't affect anything, would need replacement lower arms or something?? Anyway all ok driving now, wheels very straight. Cheers John
  9. hmmm, if Lexus Edinburgh dont do it inhouse, and outsource it to a third party, does anyone know who they use?
  10. Thanks everyone, i'll pop into Lexus Edinburgh and get it booked up soon!
  11. Hi I've noticed my steering wheel is a tad to the right, only by say a couple of degrees off centre when on a straight flat road. I was looking for a good place to get the full geo looked at around the Edinburgh area, or surrounding areas, does anyone have any recommendations? thanks in advance!

  13. Oh, was hoping to see another in Scotland. Never seen another one in the road anywhere so far!
  14. Congrats! What dealership did you get it from, looks like Edinburgh/Newbridge?? If so that's where I purchased from... Have fun :)
  15. They arrived well packaged and fitted in seconds! Look good for the price also still illuminate as normal door lights. The projected image is fairly good too, a bit brighter might have been better but all in pretty nice! Took a quick snap on a rough road but will hopefully get better photos up!
  16. Ahh thanks yea the wiring was spot on ! Thanks again... The red car is aN MGZT 180 its my pals who helped me fit the less its currently being serviced and the bumpers off for the oil cooler and other stuff I believe, also gunged up with foost in the coolant department... Work in progress for him with my help. Thanks again for the links.
  17. Got them installed, was brave enough to remove bumper... Got the smoked version looks good against the white car... Comments welcome! Ps where can I get my tail lights smoked somewhere around west Lothian Edinburgh etc area or in Scotland? :)
  18. Many thanks, not sire when I'm fitting them but your bumper removal guide is very helpful and the wiring info on the other side is ideal! Thanks again will post a photo when done :)
  19. Yikes! Hope they fit. Were they from the same seller "zotooled" on ebay?
  20. Exactly £15 might be wasted, but hey, it might look good. They're coming from Hong Kong so a few weeks I'd say.
