    Also any Lexus dealers down south worth looking at? I'm going to enquire with Carwow and see what they come up with. The salesman at Leeds that dealt with me re the NX is brilliant. He is applying to a different Lexus dealership for a job😞. He was the one who sorted out my insurance debacle with the bodyshop. Apparently he is on the chopping block.

    I went in to discuss things today re RX and all of the staff were on a knife edge. One of the bosses/minions ( never seen them before) was following me round for the entire time asking and probing about the NX/RX swap while I was there. Very uncomfortable.

    Lexus /Toyota Leeds ( Benfield group) has been bought out by the Lookers group as of yesterday.

    So Lexus are doing the same as they did with the NX. All the goodies in the Premier and like it or lump it on the lower models. I've just rung Leeds to ask for prices again and the salesman has said it will be released soon. Didn't have the energy to continue the conversation 😡

    Yes. I saw one in Houston last year when I was there. It's a big' un. Very similar to the 7 series when looked at from the side. Doing quite well there and in Asia apparently.

    The extended version , the TX, wont be available till December 16, so I don't think they are quoting for that. No offence to Lexus Scotland but, they have the price wrong ( otherwise I look like a tit) . Thats my opinion according to the info I've received.

    The sales guy told me £70000 for the Premier, so something isn't right. Lexus EU( Brussels HQ) have sort of confirmed the price , since they have arranged this trip to Vienna.

    Rayaan, I've just seen the comments on the Lexus Scotland Facebook page. £39995 for a RX200t seems to be good value even if it's poverty spec. Either this is complete BS from them ( considering NX200t F-Sport is very close to that price), or its true or whoever updates the page is on drugs!

    Excellent Lee . I'm going to give the NX to my wife. She does town driving mostly. And she loves the removable mirror! If I can't find anything , I will just get a boggo Focus to run round in until a deal comes up. The Porsche dealer is still peddling a ridiculous deal on a Turbo S. Bit too much for me but mega deals are out there.

    Yep , agree completely with the above. That's why I've told the dealership that if they want a sale , they need to stop being idiots. Their response was as stated in my earlier post. Well they will lose a sale after I've had a freebie jolly courtesy of Lexus. Plenty of other stuff out there. I've got a Honda NSX on order and that seems to be another waste of space. The interior is not up to scratch and Honda have put back the public sale date. The price has also gone up considerably. This Japanese committee meeting decision process seems to be backfiring bigtime.

    This is when all those crazy contract lease/hire plans come in. RR Sport is one example. Fully loaded Autobiography 6+23 deal= £599 pm.

    I love salesman patter. There's a Blue F Sport NX at the local dealer which has been there for 3 months. Price hasn't changed. You can get a brand new one for the same price. Same for the new RX from the dealership. " If you don't commit to firm order you will be waiting a long time for a new one". Ermmm yeah ok, I believe you!!!! I'll come back in 6 months to buy a demo saving myself a wad of money.

    Ok, I'll be frank you guys. If you order a RX now you DEMAND £5000 or more off a Premier . If the dealership waivers, walk away. Apparently the RX is in high demand😂

    Personally, a single twinscroll turbo with the same 3.5 litre running Atkinson cycle would be MY choice. Yes, much more work .....but the end result ....

    Lee.. long time. I personally think Toyota is going the hydrogen route. They aren't bothered about plugin apart from the Prius( the new one looks like s Mirai). The RX with this price tag is gonna tank.

    Comparing the competition according to price.Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Merdedes ML or is it GL or Gle or mle .... Anyways, the Lexus RX looks like a fit against this lot. Against the Cayenne it's the clear loser. The local dealership have been saying " you're the first, lucky, waiting list" etc bs. This thing will be a demo bargain as Rayaans alluded to. Plain and simple.

    This mature powertrain is at the end of its natural life. Whats your opinion? According to Clublexus a new LS with Hydrogen powertrain is on for the Tokyo olympics. So 5 years time. I'm baffled why they have done this.
