  1. As Malcolm mentioned earlier, it's dependent on driving style. It's not fully autonomous so be very careful!!!. I've used it once and it's not to my liking. It's very hit and miss, much like the speed detection. On one 40mph limited road the screen said 140 was the limit! On a gangzoom note, I had a Tesla Model X for 2 days last month. Autopilot on that worked flawlessly on the M62 from my house to Manchester airport T2. It is a great techno car but, I am going to wait 3 years to see what the others offer. For the moment the RX is just peachy.
  2. There is also an app on ios called My Lexus. Exactly the same info apart from the Journey planner which is a disappointment. Hopefully they will add this later to the app.
  3. No, and I think it can't be done. I have turned screen autochange to off . If I leave the left side on Nav the destination menu still pops up every time I start the car. So on the left screen I have the radio on all the time with the map on the smaller right screen. If I want to switch to ipod music , I use the mode button on the steering wheel to change source. Most days I know where I am going anyway so it's not a big deal.
  4. Re the facelifted NX, do you know whether it will get the new gen 2.5 engine with li-on battery pack? Apparently it's got 20% more power and will use the multi stage transmission. Luckily for me the total discount for the RX( inc deposit contribution) equated to £6880. This comfortably blew Broadspeed and even Carwow clean away. So it was too good to turn down plus they gave me a fair price for my NX.
  5. Ah yes, forgot about that. I'll give it a try later and see what happens. Are you planning on purchasing a new RX? Chap at Leeds told me a lot of potential new buyers are being put off by the new VED rules. £450 from the second year onwards can buy a hell of a lot of petrol.
  6. Tried it. Reverts back to the above pic after a few seconds. The NX used to do it but, I can't remember what I did to get rid of it 😡. Apart from that I love it. The suspension is just peachy and the 3.5 V6 makes a rather pleasant burbling sound.
  7. How do I get rid of the this menu EVERY TIME I start the car. I just want the map and not the menu.
  8. Yes, got Dunlops on mine as well. Apparently, there isn't much difference between the two. Apart from the bloody Nav, Im loving it.
  9. It's being updated. I've tried logging on for the past 24hrs so, I emailed them. Apparently, they are doing something resembling Enform but, without the sim integration. So we won't get remote start etc.
  10. Everytime I start my car the nav menu pops up. So everytime I have to press the back button to get just the map on the left side of the screen. How do I get rid of it?
  11. It's nearly time to pick up my RX Premier on March 1st🤗. One thing I forgot to ask the dealer was regarding tyres. What tyres do Lexus fit on the Premier and what goes on the F sport? Reason being that the US spec RX gets the Michelin premier LTX tyres, but we don't get them here. Is this correct?
  12. This if for a F sport premier pack, so I would assume it applies to the Lux model as well. Happy shopping!
  13. I thought that too at first. But on inspection, both cars were on Yokohamas . The only difference I could see was the Premier was on 225/60 18 and the F sport was 235/60 18. Could be wrong though, was couple years ago!
  14. My findings were: Premier ( doesn't come with AVS anyway) was fidgety over uneven/potholed roads, buttery smooth on motorway and smooth roads. F Sport with AVS( can tell by sport + mode) . Non fidgety over uneven/potholed roads but noisy on motorway, smooth roads. This is just MY opinion! Others may have different opinions. Hence, drive it for 24/48 hours over different surfaces and then decide. Ask them if you can have the two variants over a couple of days. They both handle VERY differently! Edit: Sorry, didn't read your post fully re availability of Luxury/Premier. In that case if you like the F Sport regarding its ride, I would personally stick with it. But , if you like being objective, I would test drive both.
  15. I've got a NX Premier. I actually preferred the ride of the F Sport but unfortunately when I ordered the car , the Premier options weren't available on the F sport so I went with the Premier. The ride can get really fidgety on uneven/potholed roads but is superb on motorways. It corners well for a heavy car. The interior is screwed together brilliantly. High quality materials in all the right places. I don't like the Lexus infotainment system. I would prefer a touchscreen. I have averaged 37mpg over 22 months of ownership. I'm happy with that. As mentioned earlier, the drivetrain does get noisy when accelerating hard but that's just how it's set up. It settles down nicely when the required speed is achieved and you can just sit back and cruise. Best thing to do would be to take a day off and arrange a 24 hour test drive. You can play with it to your hearts content and then make a decision. I am trading mine in March for a RX Premier. Main reason for a change was space( 2 young kids), more poke and more luxury! I played about with a Tesla Model S and a Cayenne Turbo before placing a firm order. Both great cars but both VERY expensive and the Tesla's interior was inferior compared to even the NX ( imho!). The new interior is better I think but too late now to change my mind. Good Luck.
  16. Cash price was 7.0% off at Leeds and 9.3% ar Woodford. I got the higher discount (10.7%) with finance at 4.9% APR and £1500 deposit contribution from Lexus as an added bonus. Huge discounts on GS300 and GS450h as well if anyone's interested.
  17. I've finally got round to place a firm order with Leeds for a RX Premier with Style/Pro pack in Deep Blue with Brown leather. Discount was 10.7% off equating to £6179. Not only that Woodford Lexus are offering 11.7% off a Premier. They are offering huge discounts for March registrations as the new ( ripoff) VED bands start on April 1st. Anything above £40000 is going to get hammered saleswise.
  18. Agree with Rayaans on the interior. The quality of the seats and dash isn't very good. I don't like the Lexus infotainment system at all but the JagLR system isn't much better. And the price of an equivalent specced Fpace takes the proverbial. Check out the Jaguar used car site. F pace for £72000. Just WOW.
  19. If I'd have owned Jaguars previously ( 4 models) , why not just wait for the F Pace? Easy choice. Its highly unlikely one would get 30-35mpg from a 5 litre V8 unless you drive really slowly, even in the US with its straight roads.
  20. Yes, he is the sales manager there now. I think Vantage moved some of their staff in. I think Paul Thompson has moved on.
  21. I've already test driven it. Do they want face to face interaction? If so why bother advertising it.
  22. Well it's the easter holidays and I've got a few days off to spend with the fruit of my loins 😡. Anyways, I rang Lexus Reading about their RX Premier up for sale for £52k ( big discount on new). I was kindly informed that the car was sold but they had the exact same spec on a different car for £59k. Erm... Can I have it for £51k? No! How do car dealerships bloody work? I just don't understand it.
  23. Well that's excellent news. LC-F? Maybe maybe not.
  24. Which dealership? That's a big chunk of money saved.
  25. I really want a Premier so might have to cancel the order and wait👎 a few more months. Leeds are just being plain weird. They've told me if I get a cheaper deal they will match it. But what's the point of that when I would order through that dealership that gave me a good deal and just use Leeds for servicing and warranty work. This is what drives me nuts about car dealerships.
