  1. Had a scare today. The car at idle was approx 250 rpm. Whilst driving it was about 150 rpm. It kept stalling on me. Left it a few minutes then the idle was approx 480 rpm ish and drive above 400rpm. It never stalled since. However I want this checking out. Any clues please as I do not want to stall on motorway........... Thanks
  2. Hi guys. I am thinking of using my LS400 as a daily driver. I need LPG installed. Does anyone recommend anywhere in Lancs. Will travel if needed. Also I wanted the filling adaptor so it goes inside the flap if this is still legal??? many thanks
  3. so what about all the Lexus that has the gas filling point inside filler. Are they all illegal now???
  4. unfortunately I have to get someone to take it off then send for repair. I would rather just replace it. yes possibly going to usa market as finding one in uk is bloody hard
  5. Hi Lexus members. I bought and picked up a power steering pump for my MK4 from the address on ebay below. Business seller information S.E.MotorSport Rehana Ali 70 Ashfield Road OL11 1PY Rochdale, Lancashire UK I spoke to his colleague who was adamant that it came from a MK4 as there was a few different models. When I came to take car to my local garage he said that it was different. I then took car home and compared it with my MK3 which is what the business seller gave me. After some texts he finally gave me 2/3 of my money back due to holding stock and assured me it was a MK4 as he had taken it off himself. Well i have made 2 journeys which is my time and fuel. Buyers beware. Do not trust......

  7. Tried the 01254 30102 number and they do not have any spares for me. Ashamed actually as the telephone code is same as mine and I could have picked it up. ARRGGGHHH. Thanks for reply I can always use them for something else.
  8. Hi Steve

That be great. Do have a price in mind.

    Thanks

  9. I am desperate for a power steering pump for my mk4. Can anyone help??? Thanks
  10. When I turn the steering wheel at idle. The car revs up slightly and slightly noisiy. I do have a slight power steering leak. Would this cause this? Thanks
  11. I have noticed that LS400 are creeping back up in prices. I remember back in 2010ish I was desperate for a MK4 but was not affordable. Then in 2015 ish it went below £2000. Now I believe they are going back up . Just look at the prices they are asking for a MK3 (Which I believe is the best engine for LS400 range).
  12. Mine had gone from about 155,000. My mk 3 never went and had 229,000 on it
  13. Can you swap a mk3 to a mk 4 power steering pump as mine is slightly leaking. Expensive as I do not want an aftermarket version but do have a spare mk3 for parts. Cheer sguys
  14. Has anyone replaced the outer tie rods and why? What was the symptoms?
  15. I have just installed my new lower ball joints £75 each OEM and paid £35 at indy to install them. The car no longer clunk over speed bumps. The left side was historically bad but did them as a pair anyway (will post pictures of the bad ones soon). I thought that would resolve the braking judder at low speeds issue altogether but not The issue I noticed is that when braking it judders. And when slamming brakes at 5mph the car goes back and forth as well as a clunk noise. I am pretty sure that this is the lower control arms. I had a sneak below and they look like originals. Mileage is 170,000 ish. Anyone any experience. I have got a price from Lexus Birmingham for £62.50 each for the bushing. Cheers LS lovers
  16. I meant the car lol not the spring. Realistically at the time the Lexus only had a small range of cars. Correct me if I ma wrong??
  17. What!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought they designed these to last a lifetime. Come on a spring should always be available should it not??
  18. Lets hope not for my sake. However Lexus had wavered the health check of £85 form Bolton. Perhaps it is because I have used them on numerous times hahaha, which I appreciated
  19. Yes forgot. Wont be cheap, however I have used used front shockers on my old lexus and was still working before it died from someone breaking one. It was slightly rusty but did the job. Just a thought.....
  20. Yes.. Always use original parts. I learnt the hardway. And I do mean the hardway....
  21. Cheers Malc. Someone quoted me £65 per side from an indy. A bit steep so I will check around.
