  1. Do not use KYB. From experience the rubber thing at the bottom is poor quality and wont last more than 15 months. Either use Lexus dealer parts or better still use second hand ones. Trust me on this.
  2. Timing belt which I bought of them in 2015 and done by indy. Oil leak (not sure where). Exhaust I had rebuilt or custom made in Dec 2016 from front to middle I think. Took car to tyre shop. They said come back in 2 months as they said it has a bit left in it. Mileage approx 169,876 ish
  3. Do you think he was right about the balljoint. As everyone said it was ok except for Lexus? Or is it that when it is tight fitted like on video means you cannot tell
  4. I got the ball joints from Lexus Birmingham for £75 each as it gave me a discount compared to Bolton. Here is the link from Bolton. I am sure it will work on internet. https://video.citnow.com/vtsSZ5QYn-P I cant install them. Not enough courage or skills or equipment. Thanks
  5. Yes I think you have more or less covered my symptoms. hence reason I took it to dealers. Maybe I am thinking local garages cannot diagnose Ls cars incudig established ones and Kwik fit. They all say no problems with the suspension at all???
  6. Reason I am asking is mainly that the Lexus dealer did a health check and sent me a video. I then took to my local garage with the new lower ball joints and they said dosent need changing. 3 different garagaes said the same. Am I disrespecting Lexus dealers or are the 3 MOT centre wrong? Sorry if it is a stupid question
  7. What are the symptoms for worn lower ball joints and how do you check them? Any thoughts appreciated thanks buddy!!
  8. just topped it up. Originally it leaked onto my alternator which I had rebuilt for £90. I then took the risk with lucas power steering leak. Checked every hour, then daily, then weekly, no signs of leakage

  13. You need OEM or second hand parts. Nuff said
  14. I have gone through about 5 different pads as I was never happy with the squaeling. Only thing to sort it out is to buy from dealers as well as the disks. Nuff said.
  15. It was not the motor for up and down. I meant the one for in and out. Cheers
  16. My steering motor for the in and out has gone dead. I was wondering if I can use my MK 3 motor and use it on my Mk4. Or is it different? Many Thanks
  17. Exactly. The front right exhaust near the engine is making a noise. Is that where you mean. Thanks
  18. My Mk4 exhaust is bad bad and rotting away. However I do have a MK3 sitting at home for spares. I was wondering if you can do an exact swap over. What I mean is taking the full Mk3 exhaust of and replace it on my MK4. Anyone have any ideas i appreciate this.
