    Hi guys i was told that the power steering fluid that i need is" Automatic Transmission Fluid Dextron II " or " III " is this correct ? was also told that the easy way to do it is to extract the old fluid with a " Turkey baster " and refill with new fluid repeating this 3 or 4 times over a period of a week to ensure all old fluid has been replaced ( does this method work ) ? many thanks H13BBO ...

    Yep I'm still here and still got my 2004 Lex from new , still pop in from time to time , oh and the Lex is still as good as the day i had it !

    Tried Avons on mine but found them real noisy , best tyres to date are the ones i have fitted now Bridgestone Potenza's with Michelin Pilot Sports a fraction behind ........

    Renewal has just popped through the letterbox for my IS200 Privilege ( last years best quote ) is now one of the dearest £363.45p , fully comp for me & my wife , bonus protected, windscreen cover , legal cover , courtesy car just got an online quote from Hastings essential for £207.92p for exactly the same deal as Privilege were asking just goes to show you that it pays well to shop around !

    Just had my air con serviced & sorted as it was way overdue , took my Lex to an independent local garage who charged me the great sum of £ 39.99 for the lot he gave me a readout which means didlidum to me ....any ideas guys ? 2134 recycled 510 gr vacuum 25mn unloaded oil 7gr oil charged 17 gr tracer yes R134 loaded 600gr 30 mins test 2-0C Now i have lovely fresh ice cold fresh air in my car that i do know & am well impressed with the garage who did it :D :D

    My beautiful Lexus flew through her MOT with flying colours , even the MOT examiner commented how well these cars are put together ...... :D

    I changed to the 11 spoke alloys Anthracite on my IS 200 ( Plat ICE ) & have a set of 4 original alloys & tyres just sitting in my shed doing nothing 2 Michelin pilot sport ,2 Avon 215/45/17.............alloys could do with a refurb but plenty of tread on the tyres

    ALL Havoline Oil 1/2 Price @ morrisons inc Synthetic filled up at " Morrison's yesterday and noticed that all Havoline Oil is 1/2 price (1 litre & 5 litre) thinks this beats the Mobil deal Asda had ;-) a few examples:- Havoline Energy 5w/30 5 litre was £16.99 now £8.49 Havoline Synthetic 5w/40 1 litre was £6.49 now £3.24 Havoline Extra 10w/40 5 litre was £14.99 now £7.49 Havoline Premium 15w/40 1litre was £2.79 now £1.39

    I've run my Lexus on : Dunlops which came with the car from new then had Michelin pilot sports after now running on Bridgestone Potenza's all were 215/45/17 changed my original 5 spoke alloys about 12 months ago to the Lexus 11 spoke ones which appeared on ebay & quite a few of us on here had sets of these because they were going for a song

    i got Potenza's all round on mine good tyres & i'm well pleased , just watch out cos if they are the same as mine they ain't got the " rim protectors on !

    I got a new set of 11 spoke Lexus wheels in anthracite about 6 months ago & think they look awesome on my " Plat Ice " been told that by other people to yours look great mate I'd go with that colour 100%.............
