  1. Hi guys, Going to need some rear brake pads soon and think i have found the correct ones but they seem very cheap. Anyone know if these are the correct ones. http://www.eurocarparts.com/mobile/ecp/c/Lexus_IS_5.0_2008/p/car-parts/car-service-parts/regular-service/brake-pads/?10182102A&1&6f7bd1d75b0cd3f3fdfb047a05a996353ffc3564&000036 If not does anyone know where i can get them from and what sort of price. I dont mind going for a different make if Anyone can suggest anything as good. On a side note my car is booked in for the new sat nav unit on tue. Only taken 6 months!
  2. Why not go for the black one at only £1000 more with 49k miles, full lexus history and 18 month lexus warrenty. If all checks out sounds like a better buy to me.
  3. Hi, Well Surprise surprise its still not done, in fact the unit has not even arrived and now they said they might call other dealers to see if they have a spare one somewhere! Car has been with Lexus Croyden 4 weeks now and i first took it into them to look at this problem back in July. 4 months to get a sat nav unit sorted and still none the wiser What a joke.....
  4. Ok so car was meant to be ready to collect today, just had a call from lexus croyden saying the Sat nav Has still not arrived and won't be ready into Nov 11th. They told me to keep the hire car until my car is fixed. What a joke this is turning out to be
  5. Right, really not happy with lexus Croyden, car was booked in for oct 12th only to get a call Fri 9th at 5pm to cancel the booking as the Sat nav had not arrived, this is now 3 weeks after they confirmed the warranty claim. Anyway they booked me in for the week after which was yesterday, so I called them Fri to make sure the part had arrived. They confirmed it has so I took my car down there yesterday and took a replacement car which they had booked in for a few days. I get a call this morning to say the car is ready to collect but they could not replace the Sat nav as the part had not arrived! They then said I had to give the hire car back by this afternoon as it's booked in for someone else. I went a bit mad at the service guy and basically refused to give the car back until my car is fixed. After a heated discussion they were telling me how much they had gone out their way to get the Sat nav covered under warranty for me and that I should be grateful they are fixing it free of charge, they said they had to choice but to let me keep the hire car until my car is ready to collect but that it's going to cost them a lot of money to leave me with the car. They called back 5 mins later and said the car should be ready on Monday and basically put the phone down on me. Anyway bit shocked by all of this actually esp as I moved to lexus brand because if their excellent customer service. Will keep you posted to how all this plays out.
  6. Anyone who is thinking of a service soon, call around a few local Lexus dealers, they will drop the price very quickly to match the others, i started off at £895 with lexus Twickenham. and after calling 4 local dealers Lexus Croyden did my 60k service for £695, prop could of got a better price if i spent another few minutes calling a few other dealers. I think its a price cap not a fixed price. Enjoy the Rcf, very jealous!
  7. Just quick update, lexus have booked me in for Oct 12th for new sat nav all covered under warranty. Once that is done, then ill get the wheels refurbed and callipers painted blue, then get the h&s exhaust fitted. Kieron
  8. I'd be interested in a group buy for the exhaust, don't really care about the switchable value too much though
  9. The Clio v6 was prop my favourite car, had it 5 year and only changed because it got stolen, was a very sad day. every single time you drove it, it was just a massive occasion, people used to look at it, talk about it, take photos of it, just one of those cars and grabs people's attention Hmm next car- not really looking just yet, but at moment i thinking of either a Nissan gtr, 997 turbo or Jag xkr-s Kieron
  10. Sorry i could not make it, im not using the car at the moment as my brakes are playing up, hopefully will get sorted when i take it in next monday. Watched the clip of the different exhausts and sounds like you all had a great day Kieron

  12. Stuno1 great sounding isf you have, really tempted myself now, was also considering muffler and 2nd cat delete but not sure if that would be too loud as a daily driver.
  13. Hi all, hope you all had a good summer. Car is now booked in for the 14th sept as was traveling when it was previously booked it, so will let you know how it goes. On a side note my brakes have been playing up, pedal is very soft and not much bite until way down near the floor. Had someone look it over and he thinks the rear brakes are not engaging and is prop the master cyclinder so another job for Lexus to look into. Funny as the parking brake light has been on a while now and I took it into Lexus to look it over along with the nav screen and loose seat and they said that the light is just due to a faulty switch which they will replace, would be pretty bad if the light came on due to a fault in the brakes occurring and they did not even notice or check it over. Anyway will keep you all posted
  14. Right just had a call from Lexus Croyden and they now need to re-inspect the car to see if the warranty claim will go through, booked in for the 17th. waited 2 weeks to be told they need to look at it again... not the best service if i'm honest, and that is one of the main reasons i moved away from my previous cars of bmw/jaguar for the top rated service. wil keep you posted
  15. Still waiting to hear back from dealership, they said they are waiting to hear from lexus head office to see if they will cover it under extended warranty. Been 2 weeks now so getting a bit frustrating
  16. Hi, yes they now cover electrics, just waiting to see if they consider the multi media screen as electronic or interior trim. Can't see how they can say it's trim as its a main part of the car and lots of features are lost without it. Will post back when I get an answer from lexus
  17. Had my 60k service done last month for £695 from Lexus Croyden, called about 4 dealers and played them off against each other Kieron
  18. Hi guys, just took my isf in for frozen nav sceen and the service manager said he does not think it is covered under extended warranty, and will be about £2500 to replace. Does anyone know if the screen is covered or not? Only thing i think they could say is that it comes under interior trim.. Also my drivers seat has a bit of play in it so asked them to tighten up the bolts, they said it need a whole new seat frame at a cost of £5k!!! Again he did not know if this is also covered under the extended warranty, He is coming to find out tomorrow and get back to me Anyway my first post here so hi everyone Kieron
