  1. Turns out it just needed a heavy cleaning with some brasso!
  2. All done, looks Very good. I Think the front wheels are on wrong side, can anyone confirm this pls as will get them swapped over at lexus when i take car in on friday.
  3. Hi Peter Thanks for the offer, bu the side lights are working, just for some silly reason i thought they we're meant to come on during the day time to and not Just when it gets dark. Think before i got the car i was reading a lot of posts in the us forums and think they have daytime running lights aswell.
  4. So all booked in for monday decided on Rivieria blue calipers and black chrome wheels although can decide on wheel colour when i get there but calipers had to let them know yesterday so they can get the paint in time.
  5. Wow had the car 3.5 years and just shows how little i know about the car.. This site is great source of info
  6. I must admit £1100 is a little more than i thought it was going to be, think i remember people on here got it for around £800. But i guess as its a tried And tested system on the isf and the sound does seem very good prop still worth it
  7. That is good to hear, When i bought my car they were already turned off, guess the previous owner hated the yellow colour. Is it only the dealer who can turn back on the daytime running lights?
  8. This is from the US forum Yes, the DRLs are just the high beams run at low power... so putting an LED in there makes your high beams useless. I solved the drls looking like crap problem by just having them turned off, which retains use of the high beams at least The DRL is the same bulb for the High Beam running at about 30% of the power. This is why the look very yellow
  9. Do you lose high beam fuction with the led side lights?
  10. Good to know they replaced it for you, will call lexus tomorrow morning And get it booked in
  11. Booked to get the h&s exhaust fitted on 31st july, price has gone up from a few years ago now £1140 but still think its worth it. Just in time for a 3 week road trip to France 😉
  12. Hi never really bothered with it before but now im spending some money on my car, wheels/calipers h&s exhaust etc i have what seems like dried condensation on the headlights And the seals don't look flush at all. Also its not appearing on the passanger windows too. Is this condensation due to poor seals? I have an extended warrenty, will this be covered? Read the t&c and can't see seals/ condensation included or excluded. Here are a few pics. Opinions And advise of how to cure this.
  13. Think im going to go with blue calipers and a gloss dark grey wheel colour Will post pics once done
  14. Mine is Peeling off too. Yes they remove the calipers, going to leave the car with them for a couple of days.
  15. Yes going to use a1alloys in bromley, they get very good reviews £300 for all 4 wheels £300 for all 4 calipers
  16. Going to get my wheels refurbed and having the calipers painted at same time, just not sure what colour, prop does not help that im colour blind. My top 3 so far are: Blue Red Yellow. Also think the burnt orange like the gsf would look ok too. My car is grey. Many thanks
  17. Just posted this on the gsf rcf topic but thought some of you might like to watch it. Im sure most of you have Seen it but think its a really good review And like that he goes into a bit about the history of making it and that he thinks people will look back at the isf as the turning point for lexus and Toyota. If that's the case the isf will def be in the history books. Enjoy.
  18. I think this is a really good review of the isf and explains a bit of history behind the making of the car And why i think its going to be a future classic. https://youtu.be/YBjbos7ISfI
  19. Will have owned the car 3 years in May and very rarely use the paddles so Last week i thought id spend the whole week Just using the paddles and see how i got on. To be honest it feels very artificial to me still, its as though without a clutch and stick i can't feel when its the right time to change gear, i don't Get that muscle memory feeling that i have in a manual car. Its like i keep having to think about when to flick the paddle and then i keep having to look at what gear im in on the dash as the paddles are always in the Same position. Also what is the highest gear you use when in manual mode? As i live in sw london highest i used was gear 4 going down the A3. Im guessing you dont use 6 7 8 as that would be to much changing up and down? Oh and 16 mpg out of the tank compared to 19mpg when in auto mode. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts and how you use your car. Kieron.
  20. Get mine serviced at lexus croyden. Twickenham was my first port of call when i got the car but there was a 3 week waiting time for a service with a hire car and lexus croyden could do in that week so took her there and been using them ever since.

  22. Hi Alan I did my 60k service in june 2015 and was quoted £895 at first, so i rang up 4 local dealers and told each one i had been given a lower price and all 4 beat one another. Got it down to £695 in the end. Ask to speak to the service mananger and explain you have been quoted x amount from x dealer and ask if they can beat it. I believe its a capped price and not a fixed price which Means they can charge less but can't charge more than stated rates. Good luck.
