Thanks. Seems like when I am test driving, running the heater or the aircon on full should trigger it. Good advice -
OK so I plan to buy a 2009 Is 250. How can I tell if the creaking dashboard has already been fixed? How soon does it start after you drive away? Is it worse on uneven surfaces? Or on cold mornings? Does the heated make it better or worse?

One thing I bhave learned.. If you are interested in buying avcar second hand, some time spent on the owners club forum is gold dust. So I just did a Google search. What is very helpful is of the wise heads compile a list of what to look for when buying second hand.... What to check for in the service history, common problems etc. Very useful and gets the new members engaged!
